I am a postpartum doula. I help mom’s with newborns. I am there to help with newborn care, physical and emotional support for mom. I supply breastfeeding/​bottlefeeding support, meal planning and preparing, light housekeeping, sibling support, overnight support. I can also supply resources for the Wichita Kansas area. I can help if you have had p.p. blues or depression in previous births or if you are concerned about it. I have first aid and infant/​adult cpr qualifications.

History

Established in 2014.

I have traveled extensively as a nanny for 25 years. For the past 15 years I have been both a nanny and a Pastor/​Associate Pastor’s wife. I love to help people and families. In 2014 I learned about doula’s and new it was the perfect occupation for me. It uses all my previous experience of working with families as a nanny and making meals and helping families at church. We have just moved to Wichita Kansas and I am excited about helping new moms. Why a postpartum doula? Because being at home with a crying baby can sometimes can be overwhelming and frustrating. Not having support can make things worse. Sometimes you just need someone to help you and encourage you that you are doing a great job. Sometimes you just need to have some time to have a nap and a shower while someone else is doing that list of things that you think you need to get done. A postpartum doula is a great fit to help any new mom.

I am originally from New Zealand. My husband and I moved here 5 years ago and we have just recently moved to Wichita Kansas. I have been a nanny for 25 years and a Pastor/​Associate Pastor’s wife for 15 years. I love helping people especially mom’s with newborns. We have been foster parents for 8 years.

I am nearly certified as a postpartum doula with CAPPA. I have just recently been recertified with first aid/​infant/​adult CPR.
