Pumphouse

Nice selection of beers and a diverse menu. We tried the pizza and I’m a fan of their unique crust! It’s almost like a cracker with a flaky crisp bite. The goat cheese, beer sautéed onion option was unique and flavorful. The chips and salsa are a nice appetizer as well.

Great location and 80% of food is home made! Burgers, pizza and sandwiches are all good. There is a DJ on Fri/​sat nights at 10pm. Summer live bands for all ages. Tons of outside seating and roll up garage doors to pull up in summer. Food has come long way in the past few years!

This is a bar that serves great food! Whether it’s a burger or one of their other sandwiches you will be pleasantly surprised! Okay, let’s talk about their pizza! The pizza is above average here, you hve to try it! If you like autumobilia and just a great Americana feel come eat stay and drink! The wait staff and bartenders take good care of you while you are there. I visit often and haven’t been disappointed yet.

Right across the street from the Marriott in «Old Town» this is a really good place for dinner and sports. The staff was really friendly to boot. I had the chicken wrap with waffle fries (attention the waffle fries cost a bit more) and it was excellent. This place is big! Plenty of room for a party! I saw some children running around so I assume they are kid friendly too.
The only beef I have is the beer selection doesn’t reflect the local fair. There are one or two state locals but that’s it. Walking in I noticed a sign that stated «Proudly Serving Budweiser» which is always a bad sign (no pun) for craft beer lovers. The beer selection reflects it, as its all AB InBev products. If they were to carry more local beers it would be 5 Stars.
But do not let that stop you! Rumor is their pizza is really good as well! Something I will be trying later this week!

I played it safe when I first went. I ordered Tenders, fries and a beer to watch a football game. I sat outside which was nice. They offered me Wifi which was a bonus. The waitress was really nice and attentive. Not like one of those places where you feel like you are being «bothered».
The food was a great size portion. For the first time in years I actually needed a togo box! The beer the waitress recommended was also a good pairing for the fried food I had.
I would definitely recommend this place. My only regret is that I didn’t discover it earlier in football season!

This place is miserable, it has no identity, the service is absolutely horrible and the bartender was a glorified bar back. He was rude and didn’t have any type of service industry know how. Guy was a joke and the bar won’t last another 5 years

Good service. We were there early. Wife had individual meat pizza. Nice size, nice amount of white cheese (would guess provolone) and meat. I had the chili dog with waffle fries. It was ok for a chili dog, nice French roll. Will try something different next time.

Good food, especially the chicken strips because you can gat them with cream gravy. Service was very good. We were there on a Wednesday right after work and the place was pretty quiet. Good for my husband and me.

Pumphouse is a great place for lunch, especially when the patio is available on a gorgeous sunny day. Burgers are great and the chicken sandwich in huge and filling! Try their house chips for something different. You won’t go wrong.

Waited in line to get a drink for at least an hour. Servers drink the entire time and actually witnessed the shot girls stumbling around drunk. The place is filthy and packed with big guys with small egos trying to fight. Also was told the workers are in relationships together (very unprofessional). Poorly run business avoid this bar at all cost. Plenty more to see during your time in Wichita.

Food was good but the server was good looking long legs but… Personality was dry ha only got checked on after we got our food and that was to pay! Other pump houses are better!

I’ve been here a few times over the past two months when I’ve been in town on business.
The food is solid, they have a good selection of IPAs, and tons of TVs. All of my servers and bartenders have been cool and competent. Solid place overall.
There have been some super drunk people here on occasion, but they didn’t bother anyone.

Fun Wichita bar with pretty good prices for the drinks. Went on a Wednesday night, so it wasn’t too full, but the wait staff said weekends are pretty busy. Fun drink specials with $ 2 beers after 10. Can’t beat that. There’s also a wheel the bartender spins to determine new drink specials. It used to be a real service station, too.

So I remember when this place used to be a full service gas station and repair shop as I normally stay at the Courtyard Marriott across the street. The next year I return they converted the repair shop into a bar & grill with a gas station and convenience store. The next year the convenience store was gone and it was just credit card pay-​at-​the pumps. The next year after that, the pumps were gone and this place was a full on restaurant.
Beer is always cold, the man-​nachos are good if you need a fix, live music outside, and a nice place for a decent happy hour.

I have frequented the Pumphouse many a time on weekend nights for drinks. I usually have a good time (but who am I kidding — I have a fun time no matter where we go in Old Town). I don’t love the fratty crowd, as I feel like I’m getting a little too old for that business, but it doesn’t matter that much as long as I have good company.
The other night I visited for dinner, as I had bought the groupon for an app and two sandwich meals. I swear that I had checked the menu beforehand, because I try to make sure there are vegetarian options, but apparently I didn’t look it over too thoroughly. There are no veg sandwich options, except for the grilled cheese, which I didn’t really think would be worth my time… I like to be a little more adventurous with my food.
Anyway, my friend and I started out with the fried pickles, which were yummy! They also gave us a TON of them… which was awesome. When I asked about a vegetarian sandwich option besides the grilled cheese, the server was super helpful and nice about it. He suggested I try one of their wraps, without the meat, and add in all of their veggies they use on their pizza. Not only were they willing to do this, but they didn’t charge me extra (I hate it when I sub veggies in for meat and restaurants charge me extra… so thanks Pumphouse!). The wrap came with typical ridged chips.
Although I was very impressed with the service, the wrap was underwhelming. I took most of it home for leftovers, and the next day I paired it with some store bought peanut sauce. That turned out to be the best decision ever.
I think if I were to go back for food here, I would probably stay away from the sandwiches and try some of the pizza. I’m not sure I’ll be drawn back too quickly, though, as I think there are too many other great options in Old Town.

Once upon a time, I thought that going to frat parties was the coolest thing ever. As the nerdy girl with too much acne, braces and glasses, even tagging along with my hipper, prettier friends and their boyfriends seemed awesome. Nothing could beat a beer selection of Bud Light, Natural Ice or PBR. And to have a pool table? I only dreamed of being sexy enough to dance atop one… like my friends decked out in daisy dukes and cut off shirts.
But that was once upon a time… though Pump House has a better beer selection (local brews abound) than those tri Greek letter sausage houses, the crowd is remarkably similar. And while the karoke and DJ add a bit of class to an otherwise popped-​collar environment, Pump House is still a frat party for 20 – 30 somethings at best.
That said, if you’re looking for an easy way to 1) hook up with someone who probably knows Snookie (or your brother) or 2) to get yourself (or that probably lovely soul eyeing-​erm-​checking you out something serious from across the bar) toasted, Pump House is the way to go.

As others have said, the builign used to be an old school gas-​station with service bays. cool look to the outside and an interesting idea they had with one of the service bays — the below ground area for the mechanic to stand and work on the car is now a below floor bottle storage area — and the thick plexiglass ceiling in the floor you walk on. Cool idea, unfortunately a storage area viewed from above looks like … well … a storage area.
That pretty much indicates up my opinion of the Pump House — a cool idea that could be so much better.
Large casual sports bar that had about 25 people in it on a Tuesday night. had a beer. didn’t trust them to make a quality Manhattan. lots of TV’s — but the only TV in the place that could play the Sharks /​Cunucks hockey playoff game was the 1 large TV behind the bar. and the people at the bar were watching NBA playoffs.
So a sports bar that has only 1 TV that gets all the sports channels? What’s up with that?
décor was nothing special, crowd was nothing special, service was nothing special. saw only 1 bartender and 1 waitress.
Would I go back? maybe, but not if I want to watch hockey,
