Furniture On Consignment has been Wichita’s favorite furniture store for more than 20 Years — Featuring name brand NEW Furniture, Mattresses, Appliances and Electronics!
In 1989 the store was started in a 10,000 sq ft showroom on Second and Cleveland. The business offered customers in the Wichita area an alternative hassle free way to sell their gently used furniture items. During our first year in business we also introduced new furniture closeout pieces direct from manufacturers. In 1990 the store was growing at such a pace that it was necessary to relocate to a larger facility. The new location was three times the size of the first location at 30,000 sq ft. located just west of Oliver on 13th Street. We are still here today!
Today we display NEW furniture on our expanded 59,000 sq ft showroom from the worlds leading manufacturers. We also have 45,000 ft. of on site distribution facilities with over $ 4,000,000. of inventory ready for immediate delivery or pick up.

Meet the Business Owner
Jay S.
Business Owner
Jay Storey is a business owner who is committed to the highest principles in the way he treats his customers and employees. He is the owner of Wichita furniture stores Furniture on Consignment and Ashley Furniture Homestore.
He was born in Wichita but lived throughout the Midwest growing up, has always been interested in the retail furniture business.
Former Wichitan Ted Davis has known Storey for 15 years.
«Of the people I know, he has demonstrated his commitment to his faith in God, his family and his willingness to walk in integrity more than most any other person I know,» Davis says.
While many furniture stores are open seven days a week, Jay made the decision in 1996 to close his retail business on Sundays so employees could spend time with their families.
«Since that decision was made, his business has flourished even more,» Davis says.
