I have mixed feelings about this place. I commend their mission (which is to help people who struggle with substance abuse/addictions), but honestly their coffee is not that great… And it’s kind of expensive for being not that great.
The atmosphere is fine enough. Being in an old house is definitely an interesting concept, but the décor feels a little worn and kind of random.
To be truthful, I’m probably just not the right audience. I don’t think Common Grounds is outright terrible, but it feels lacking to me. However, I’ve seen many people cite community in their reviews; I haven’t personally spent time with anyone at Common Grounds. Perhaps that makes the difference between a three star and four star review. I would encourage anyone to give it a try at least once.

Beautiful décor and decorations, unfortunately Unilocal s flagging my reviews so I am sure this review will end up in the shitter. Unilocal sucks, but this place doesn’t, try the expresso.

Great coffee. Very quiet, great place for conversation and coffee. Be sure to check out the upstairs. Note… Parking is best around back.

This place is fantastic. Hidden in broad daylight, and if it wasn’t for a quick Unilocal search probably would have driven by without giving a second thought.
Tucked away towards the back of this house, is espresso bliss. It’s great coffee! Well worth your time.

Hands down the best coffee shop of Wichita. It’s an old house turned café with multiple rooms upstairs for relaxing or studying alone or with a group. Great place for group meetings because you can close the doors to the rooms. One room has a pool table. Super quiet, and super comfortable, and the best part is no flies or homeless people like at Mead’s Corner.
