I was excited to try this place and walked out disappointed. They wanted to charge me for a cup of water with ice, my wet burrito took 20 min to come out (there was 1 other couple there), and the carne asada on the burrito was horrible. About 30% of the meat was nerve and couldn’t be chewed. The rest of the meat seemed like it was a few days old and just reheated.
If changes are made let me know and I will give it another shot and review.

The chicken was good but its difficult to eat with tiny plastic forks. Our neighbor ordered carne asada it was impossible to cut pretty tough. Fyi take silverware we were told they had none

I had great expectations for this place my wife brought a full chicken with rice and something that was ether potato salad or mashed potatoes and salsa the chicken was ok nothing great it has a type of BBQ dry rub that would go great with smoked BBQ chicken didn’t work well with salsa in a tortilla. What really killed it for me was when I picked up the dry extra burnt chicken wing it has a 2 inch long feather still attached to it and it has BBQ rub on it. Really T&L your telling me that you didn’t see that long ass dirty feather when you were rubbing down the chicken or you still didn’t pick it out when you cut it up to serve? C’mon! Primo no se agan!

First time coming to this place. Found them through Unilocal and Bought #3 and it was delicious. The chicken was so tender. Will definitely be coming back to this place.

I ate here for the first time on Sunday, it is Friday now and I’ve eaten here 4 times. It is located in the back on a plaza on greenleaf, which is the main street in uptown Whittier. Most of the time I get lucky and find parking right in front, if not there is a lot in the back behind Spin. The restaurant itself is small, but there is plenty of seating. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. If you’re not sure what to order, the girls behind the counter will suggest their favorites. Make sure you ask for green salsa because it’s pretty darn good. So far I’ve been very happy with everything I’ve tried. My only complaint is that sometimes when I order the tacos the meat is left on the grill a bit too long and burnt to a crisp where it affects the flavor and the potato salad was bland… Not bad, just not as flavorful as I’d have hoped. I was told about this place by a friend and I am so very glad that I tried it. Not only am I hooked, but my family is hooked now too and it’s all my daughter wants to eat lol. The food is incredibly delicious, fresh and extremely affordable. A two piece chicken meal with two sides and a drink is only $ 5.99. I will definitely be back, soon!

I gave this place another chance after speaking with the owner. I went in and was rung up by the cashier who is extremely nice. The wait was only ten minutes so i was glad to be able to eat my food right away. I arrive within ten minutes and everything was ready for me. I I get home and my food was nice and hot just served from the oven. The chicken was juicy and pretty well flavored. If this is the consistency that I missed out in the past i will gladly come back and recommend this place to my friends. I know things come up and mistakes happen. I would like to thank the owner once again for reaching out to me and asking me to give this place another try. i will not hesitate to come back to this place again. Thank you!
I tried this place twice, the first time the rice was cold and they told me it would take 20 minutes for the rotisserie chicken to be ready. So I ordered the grilled, it was dry. The second time I was told again it would take 20 minutes. Do you guys not have rotisserie chicken ready? Me and my friend order the rotisserie chicken and decide to go grab a drink next door while we’re waiting for our food to go. The 20 minutes took 50 minutes for the food to be ready. I take the food to go and it had little to no flavor in the chicken. I was hoping this place would be as good as los pollos or Juan pollo because it’s close to my house but not even close. I was extremely disappointed.

We ordered 2 family packs to go for Mothers Day. We tried both the grilled and rotisserie chicken and both were delicious! They pack up your sides, salsa, tortillas, napkins. Everything was good. The kids liked the French fries, my favorite side was the potato salad. We’ll be back soon!

Very flavorful and moist chicken. Not dried out like most pollo places. The sides were bomb too. Salsas were delicious. Can’t beat the price, the family deal with 2 chickens and 4 sides is more than enough for my family of 4, plus lunch the next day! We’ve even catered for a party, and the price and chicken was excellent! Definitely our new pollo place!

The service was great! A young man, although a bit busy, came by to always make sure we were good.
We ordered the Asada Plate with beans and potato salad and a asada burrito with potato salad. Both were amazing and the rice had really good flavor.
The salsa area was a bit small but they were really good on flavor. My fav was the pico and the green salsa.
The seating area is small so maybe it would be easier as a to-​go spot. Prices are really decent and you get a good amount of food!

First time trying, I had the rotisserie chicken, extremely flavorful, moist and delicious. Sides were great too! Green salsa, amazing! Glad to find a new place close to work. All the little extras were a very nice touch. Grilled jalapeño on the side, cubes of cheese in my salad, and grilled onions on top of my chicken.
Then the owner was a sweetheart, great food and customer service. Definitely will return.

The carne asada plate is so delicious! Love the potato salad the bomb. Fries are also delicious.

First time here… Best meaty fries aka asada fries. Salsa was delicious great customer service. Sopes are to die for definitely will be coming back 2 thumbs up for me

Their rotisserie chicken was delicious. It’s was juicy, sweet & smokey. Potato salad was home made & beans were perfect.
Service was excellent. Lady taking our order was friendly and was patient while I asked about the menu.

It was my first time here so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I guess I must have upset the girl taking my order by coming into the restaurant because I got total attitude. Her body language was one I would expect if I was caught stealing their salsa from their less than impressive salsa bar.
She was rude and I was ready to walk but I can’t blame the restaurant for hiring such bad service or can I? I hope this place is not family own because their service will kill this business.
Enough about their service, it was just bad. On to the food. The side orders (rice, potato salad, a side salad and French fries). I rice and salad were average. The potato salad was pretty good. The papitas were mmmmmm oh yeah, the nice employee forgot them. Stupid me, I forgot to check before I left the restaurant. I called and my best friend (sarcastic) was blaming me for not having my fries.
Is it that difficult to get your order correct. I guess it is. So I didn’t expect much from their chicken. I was pleasantly surprised but the grilled chicken was very delicious. I really enjoyed their chicken but I didn’t enjoy their attitude.
I’m not sure I will be back.

I came to this place after my workout for lunch. And I was not disappointed. I got combo number 3 with is half a chicken, 2 sides, salsa, and tortillas. Since I am on a somewhat diet, I got the half chicken with double side of pinto beans and it came with a small salad. It was so much food, now I can save the rest for my dinner. For rotisserie I usually go to Juan pollo, but Juan pollo sucks ass compared to this place. What I really love about this place they have about 4 different salsas to choose from. They lady knew it was my first time so she let me take one of each, i am really loving the green ones. Overall I’ll for sure be coming back soon! And next time hopefully I won’t be on my diet for I can try the rice, potato salad and the refried beans. It all sounds so yummy. Another plus the lady who might be there owner was super sweet. I love this place.

Delicious pollo and taco spot. Had the rotisserie chicken and nachos. Both really good.
It reminds me of Juan Pollo but a little nicer and a much friendlier staff. The food is also prepared better.
I’ve eaten here a couple times already every time I order something different. I haven’t found one thing I don’t like.

Hidden towards the back of the plaza located on Greenleaf next to Winchells is a new taco place in Uptown Whittier. Tacos were good, as were the Carne asada and Al Pastor burritos. My daughter is a bit picky but enjoyed their tacos and refried beans. Got 2 burritos, refried beans, and 6 tacos for $ 21 and change. I gave it a 4, want to try the rest of the menu.

We ordered the chicken meals with rice, beans and potato salad. Everything was delicious! This restaurant will definitely be part of our regular rotation.

Kind of like Juan Pollo, but nicer. Ordered two of the half rotisserie chickens. Really tasty! This place is a little hidden off of Greenleaf, but worth discovering. The place is really cute inside and the owners are super nice. Support this place Whittier!
