Established in 2012.

The Tuckasegee river was named by the Cherokee Native Americans. The river is a class II river. Perfect for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Even children as small as 40 lbs.

I have been rafting several times since I was a kid, and this was by far one if the best.
On this trip we had a few challenges to add to our adventure. First we had my parents who have mobility issues, and then my own health limitations so I knew I could not do all the ‘muscle’ of crazy rapids and self guided. Plus it was our 8 year old daughter’s first rafting trip and she was nervous. We had a great guide, Matt, who took excellent care to ensure we were all enjoying the trip.
The rapids were level 1 & 2 but enough that our 8 year old wanted to go back again today and do it again. The water temp was ideal!
We had 2 river bank breaks along the 2.5 hr trip. One included a fun spot to jump off the rocks into the river for the free spirits. When we returned to base, ice cold Popsicles were so refreshing!
Everything about this experience was good! The changing areas, bathrooms and boats were super clean. They even provided plastic bags you could put wet stuff into afterward… so thoughtful! They were a casual bunch that didn’t make us feel rushed at all!
Again, kudos to Matt and the rest of the team that made this one of the highlights of our vacation!
