His demeanor and attitude exudes trustworthiness. No fast talk. No pressure. John has over 40 years of experience and has a lot of knowledge of the purchasing process. My partner and I have very demanding jobs and John was accommodating to our schedules and respectful of our time. He even made office visits when needed. We were thankful to have someone as professional and experienced like John on our side as neither of us had much knowledge and had lots of questions. He was always up front with us, never over promising or under delivering. I always felt like he was on our side, explaining the process and giving us good advice. I cannot say enough good things about John! As a first time buyer, I had a lot of questions, and he answered all of my questions and put me at ease. John even assisted me in getting pre-​approved for a home loan. John is also a Mortgage Broker and knows which loan will work best for each home buyer. He was very professional and showed up ON TIME every time we met. John showed me a home under construction, in the framing stage. He said it will be ready in three months, what do you think? I said, «I’ll take it». My offer was accepted! I am in my brand new house and I can‘t believe it’s mine! I will definitely use John again for all of my real estate needs in the future and I highly recommend John Rodriguez and staff at REMAX Classic and LES Inc!

Update– I stand behind what I said. Shady practices??? I bought a home and closed within 45 days of meeting my new realtor, got a rate in the 3’s and beat out several other higher offers.
The home in the «nice location», required MIN $ 20k to make it livable. I’m talking roaches in the restroom, broken mirrors and stained/​ripped wallpaper throughout (which coincidently had a seller with the same last name as John). It was countless disappointment after disappointment with John. He’s a letdown.
It’s interesting how the review with 5 stars came immediately after my review (2 days) and nothing since. Nice try John. It’s interesting how you said I had to edit my prior review because I was advised by someone to remove certain things. More lies. My review is identical from the day I wrote it.
Bottom line– everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, I have no reason to slander the guy and everyone remembers the story in a way that makes them look like a hero. I stick to what I said and no one can persuade me to believe he had my families best interest in mind. No offense John but your outdated buddy, your ways of selling homes from 20 years ago just doesn’t work for this new fast pace market. I can guarantee if we stuck with you, we’d still be looking.

John helped my fiancé and I purchase our first home in Whittier in November 2013. As first time home buyers, we really did not know where to start or who to even call. For those of you who are currently in the process of buying your first home or have been through the experience, then there is no need to describe how stressful, time consuming and confusing of a time it can be. Luckily, we found John Rodriguez.
From the very beginning, John was very informative, patient, easy going and educational. He treated us not only as respected clients, but a pair of old friends and not some young, naïve first time buyers. He spent time with us during the weekends after work and on the weekends and never rushed us or made us feel like we were wasting his time when we could not decide on what we wanted or all the changes we had about what we thought we wanted. Most poignantly, John always took the time to explain and re-​explain answers to the hundreds of questions and repeat questions we had. BELIEVE ME, WE HAD ALOT OF QUESTIONS!
It took us about 4 months to finally find not only what we were happy with, but with something that accepted our offer. John was gracious and a little «old school» and that is one of the special qualities that we admired about him. He is a total people person, receptive to open communication, and all about making meaningful contact with everyone he deals with when negotiating a deal for us… that is what we observed and that’s why we considered him not only our real estate agent, but a quality person.
