JB & Sons Roofing

Have a Spanish tile roof that is only a couple of years old. My husband paid a little more to get a lifetime warranty. I discovered I had a leak two weeks ago when we had the first heavy rain. I found the paperwork on the original installation and tried to call the company. Trouble is the owner of that company retired and moved to Arizona and closed up the company. I found JB & Sons Roofing here on Unilocal but when I checked them out on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, JB & Sons are the only roofers in my entire area that have earned the BBB seal of quality for a recommendation. They came out in rainy weather, found the leak and fixed it immediately. Even changed out a couple of tiles that had cracked while they were up there. They definitely earned my 5 stars.

Awful communication and service. Set up a time for him to come out and look at my roof and he never showed. I emailed him about it and asked him if there was a miscommunication and I get no response. Jim responds back a month later inquiring if I still wanted a quote on a roof. I’m not sure what he was thinking. He could have been professional and let me know that he couldn’t take on any more business if he was swamped. Instead he left me stewing and wondered if I still wanted to do business w/​him a month after the fact. What do you think Jim???

I called Jim a couple of weeks ago to give me a estimate on my roof. He came out, inspected what my roof needed to be done and told me he will get back to me with a estimate in a couple of days. Waited two days nothing no call or text. Called him third day spoke to one of his sons in which he called Jim and told him I needed to get the estimate for my roof. Jim told his son he will call me right back with the estimate that was 10 days ago. I found Jim and his sons on Unilocal after looking at local reviews and they were the only ones with 5 stars and great reviews in my area. Well Jim here is your FIRST STAR. Should be honest with people if you can’t do the work or not. Shouldn’t have to hide and not call the people back. People want to fix there roofs before supposedly El Niño comes roaring in. And here we have Jim and his sons playing games. Don’t understand how this guy stays in business for supposedly 30 years.

After having a few other roofers come out to give me estimates, I used JB and Sons roofing to install some roof ventilation. I recently installed a whole house fan so I needed extra roof ventilation to accommodate. Jim and his son Brent were great. Fair pricing and good work with two-​year warranty workmanship and leaking. No nonsense, straight shooting. Didn’t try to sell me on things I didn’t need. Appreciated the communication and follow up. They did what they said and were easy to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had forgotten how great it is to do business with a local, family owned business. I left a message requesting a quote to replace 2 concrete tiles on my roof. Jim returned my call the very next day and gave me a quote and we set up an appointment date and time in a few days (Sunday). Jim agreed to match and purchase 10 tiles for the job at a minimal additional cost.
Jim’s sons Brian and Bret arrived on time and immediately got to work. They actually found 5 tiles that needed replacing, but honored Jim’s original bid.
Brian and Bret worked quickly and ensured a quality job every step of the way. I now have JB & Sons Roofing on speed-​dial. Great Job !

Truly Satisfied Customer! As a first time homeowner, repairing items can be so intimidating and needless to say it just FREAKS you out because you are responsible in getting it fix. But when our first year of living in our home and heavy rains hit years ago and I saw a yellow stain building up and a leak happening in my living room, I just panic. I was referred to give Jim a call and in an instance, he came by and reassured me that it was minor and can have it fix in no time. He came by, gave me a very fair estimate and just like that, work was done and leak was resolved. Painless in both pocket and Heart (no panic attacks). His crew worked efficiently, professionally and no trace of debris was left behind.
My roof due to its age will be requiring a re-​roof soon and I arleady know who I’m calling.

I am completely happy with this company! I am a property manager and one of my tenants complained of water leakage in their apt from the big storm we had the week before. We were expecting more rain for the week, so I needed a roofer fast. I called several places I found on Unilocal and none of them returned my call. So I called JB & sons and they answered my call and found out if they could possibly come out the same day, he called me back to let me know they couldn’t but could come by the next day, and that is exactly what they did and they were on time. We had a little light rain that day so I figured they wouldn’t be able to fix it right there and then but I received a call from the owner of the company saying they found the problem and repaired it. The tenant has not complained of anymore leakage. I also got a quote from them that same day for the same property for the garage to get a whole new roof, they gave me the proposal for a fair price. The leak repair price was fair as well. They have excellent communication with customers. This company seems to care for their customers and are quite honest. The true test of the re-​roofing finally came last week! We had our home re-​roofed last year and I could not tell with certainty if the job was good or not. Well, with the strong rain — very strong — I can attest that the job was very well done. Not a leak and nothing came off in spite of the strong winds. Definitely 5 stars, considering that the quote for the job was in line with the other bids we received, the crew was timely, professional, and got the job done in time. Highly recommended, for sure!

I was referred to JB & Sons by a family member. I asked Jim about a quote on a Sunday evening and he was there Monday morning to give me a bid. The bid was fair and they claimed they could have the job done in a hours, they definitely delivered. They showed up, started work immediately and finished quickly.
