I used Geeks R Us Saturday for the first time & was at the end of my rope. Ricardo answered the phone & Martin was at my house in a couple of hours. I was completely impressed. I’ve been signed up with USA Tech for years (a remote tech operation) & that service keeps getting worse. I’d had them on my computer twice but still my problem was not solved because there are many things they don’t do. Even though I’ve already paid for the next year+, I probably will call the Geeks next time because the remote is really frustrating. It’s great to have the technician who is working on your computer sitting right there, showing you what’s going on. You can ask questions on the spot & he explains everything in a way that is clear & that I can understand (very low tech vocabulary here – I need kindergarten explanations). I love these smaller companies where you get personal service & can build a rapport – so much better than talking to someone you don’t know (or maybe even trust with the knowledge) who you can’t understand on a terrible connection who reads you the same script: so sorry you’re having a problem. I’ll be happy to help you. When I called, I knew Ricardo would be happy to help me – he didn’t have to say that. When Martin arrived, I could soon see I was dealing with someone who really knew what he was doing. I was going to write you guys a personal thank you note, which is my custom, but I thought you would value a Unilocal*review much more. Not only was my problem resolved, but now I am empowered with more knowledge to help me in the future. Martin explained things to me that have been explained over the phone many times, but I never got it until I had the personal tutoring. It was worth every penny. Best of all, I now know there is a service available that I can count on.

Have been going here for years and referred many people to them. Martin and his crew are great. They are honest, give great advice, and save you so much money over the big chain store repair places. Nothing like personalized, top notch service! Highly recommend!

Brought my MacBook Pro to be serviced and I received excellent service! Ricardo was very nice and took the time to explain the issue and was very thorough about it. Highly recommend these guys!

Good service took my laptop for service no hidden fees which was great no to mention there service was excellent.

I came here to fix my computer after it was extremely slow. They cleaned it up, and paid for extra memory. Those were the problems I was having with my computer. Yet, I am still having the same problems. I paid them $ 235. I trusted their word and work, but I don’t feel it was honest. Overall, I feel robbed because I am still having the same problem.

These guys are pretty good. I just got my ipad 2 back from a very bad screen shatter to say the least. I am very happy with the results. They saved me at least $ 400 from buying a new one. Im sure my ipad is the worst theyve seen. Thanks guys!

I accidentally deleted my portable hard drive full of information but geeks r us was able to retrieve it for me.
It’s not located in the best location or shopping plaza but the service is good.
The hours of operation made it very convenient for me to go after getting after work. They are open until 7pm and are offer to wait for you if you think you’ll arrive a few minutes after 7.
Bottom line, I would definitely recommend this place to others. I found other places iny area but they all closed early. That was the deal breaker for me.

They want to charge $ 110 to clean my laptop from a virus way too EXPENSIVE!!!

One of our computers was down — a corrupted password (an employee changed passwords and included a period (.) — NEVER do this, as Windows accepted it and then it corrupted the password making it impossible to enter). I called Geeks R Us at 5:30 — they said they close at 6 but would wait for me. Francisco kept his word — and went a step further. Fixed it for me on the spot so I wouldn’t have to return the next day. Really amiable and helpful, plus competent.
We plan to use their services again — next time I need help.

We have been having Geeks R Us service our computers for over 5 years; their service is excellent. Always find the problem; very reasonable prices. Mike, Martine and Ricardo deliver excellent customer service.

Three weeks ago, I accidentally dropped my mother-in-law’s IPAD on the floor, breaking the glass on top of the IPAD. Oh Boy, did I feel terrible! So I immediately started looking online for places that would repair the IPAD screen for an affordable price. There were hundreds of options, you really could get lost in the slew of online shopping! But it wasn’t until I reviewed the Unilocal reviews for Geeks R’Us did I decide to give this place a try, since it was close to work.
When I dropped off my mother’s IPAD, I have to admit I was a bit nervous because the business is located in a very unassuming area in Whittier. Nothing fancy, nothing that looks professional from the outside of the building. BUT, once I started my consult with Ricardo, getting price quotes and time quotes… I felt more at ease just by the way he handled himself with professionalism and kindness. I left my IPAD there for a few days because they had to order certain parts to fix it. A few days turned into a few MORE days… because they forgot to factor in Veterans Day for delayed shipping… and I honestly got antsy, BUT Geeks R’Us would update me with phone calls, letting me know day by day when to expect the delivery. Although I was a bit frustrated with the delay, I knew it was really out of their control. All in all when we got our repaired IPAD back about 1.5 weeks later, it was like *new*! they did a great job fixing it up, and even honored a discount because of the delay (although they didn’t have to because it wasn’t their fault).
Overall — very impressed with the professionalism this company upholds. Never judge a book by its cover! Give this place a chance. I certainly will for my future technological needs.

My roommate’s dog jumped from one couch to the other — unfortunately, the landing zone was my open lap top. I took it to Geeks R Us, and within a half hour my ‘a’ key was repaired to working condition. The cost? Free. Great service, great staff, great everything: if I ever have a problem again, I will return to Geeks R Us.

Friendly, fast, knowledgeable service, and cheaper than the other guys. Computer works like new again.
