I took my 2000 Toyota Corolla in today to get a smog check and Ernie helped me out. There were two cars before me but I decided to wait because of the good reviews and I am glad I did. Ernie was friendly and greeted me right away, he was informative, professional and best of all HONEST. It was $ 40 out the door with the certificate, I will most def be recommending this shop to family and friends. Thank you Ernie!

First of all, there is NO FREE RETEST if you’re car fails.
Aside from that, this guy was okay, but I’m not sure if he knows what he’s doing. I went for a smog with my jeep 4×4 and he ran it through the dyno (treadmill device) when he should have given me a two speed idler test because my jeep is 4×4 all time. My car didn’t pass and when I asked why he didn’t know and referred me to a mechanic.
So in short, there’s no free retest if you fail, and be careful bringing any AWD or 4×4 all time vehicles here.
If you want to know if your car should not be run on the dyno, here is a list from the state.
For example, my jeep is a 1997 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo with quadra track. If you look at the list you will see it should not have been put on the dyno.

Great speedy service. Went in 20 minutes before closing time for a smog check and he took our car in with a smile. My registration was due that same day. He even offered us something to drink. It was $ 40 with the Unilocal check-​in. Great service, and very knowledgable tech. Thank you!

My truck hit 6 years so it was time to get it smogged. Checked Unilocal and found EZ Smog around the corner from my house. Ernesto was fast and courteous. I was in and out in 20 minutes. With check-​in coupon, the bill was $ 40 OTD. Can’t beat the price. I’ll definitely smog all my vehicles here.

This was the first year I had to take my car for a smog check & I had no idea where to take it or even what was considered a reasonable cost for the smog check. I turned to Unilocal to check reviews on local places in my area & found that E-​Z Smog had perfect ratings so I figured it couldn’t be so bad. I’m glad I listened to other ppl rating this place. Ernesto was very friendly & polite. The waiting area is very nice & clean. & it’s only $ 50 for the test! If you check in on Unilocal you get $ 10 off!

I am not a native to California so getting my car smog certified was new to me. This place was recommended to me but unfortunatley, the first time I came his machine was not working. He apologized profusely and referred me somewhere else but, it was not as friendly.
Two years later I needed to have my car smog certified again so I came back as I remembered how helpful he was. The guy who owns the shop remembered me! He had my car in and out in less than 30 minutes and was very kind. I recommend this place to anyone who needs their car smog tested.
