History

Established in 2014.

This driving school is new; Set to redesign how driving lessons are given with the use of technology and visual aides to help give students a better understanding of traffic laws.

Gloria V.

Manager

This is the head of our company. Gloria has years of experience with the department of motor vehicles. Her professionalism and personality are both great qualities that our customers love. Not only is she the manager of this school, but also the finest instructor we have. Since finishing high school, her ultimate goal was to become a teacher. She spent a few years working with small children, but wanted something more exciting. So, she became part of a driving school that serves the Downey area. after two years, moved with another driving school in Cypress, and now takes on a very important role with our school.

I really recommend this driving school. Gloria was awesome. She was patient with me and very skillful in what she does as an instructor and for her business. I took three lessons which was 6 hours in total. After a week and half with her lessons I took my driving test and passed with only three mistakes. Well worth the money (:

We had a great experience with Gloria. We originally did the 6 hours but later added 3 more hours + dmv so my daughter could be really prepared for test and I’m so glad we did because she passed her test the first time with only a few minor errors. Gloria gave my daughter the skills and confidence she needed to be a safe teen driver :) Thank you Gloria!

Just an Update. My daughter went to the DMV and passed her Behind the Wheel test on her first try. Thanks again Gloria for all the tips. She missed 6 of the non-​critical items.

We had a great experience with this driving school! Gloria is an awesome instructor! She really prepared our daughter not only for the driving exam, but how to be a great driver. She passed her driving exam on the first time, only missing 4! Gloria was also very accommodating with our busy schedule. We purchased the 7 hour package. We used their car for our daughter to take the driving test. I highly recommend Gloria and this company!

Gloria was a fabulous instructor! I got the 6 hr. package which was very good for me. She showed me everything I needed to now. She was very patient with me and answered all questions. She was very helpful by guiding me to be a safe driver. Prior to my test, she took me to Whittier where I was going to take my test to show me what to expect for my test. After that lesson I was very prepared and felt confident that I was going to pass my test. I passed my test on my first try and only missed 3! Thank you Gloria!

Gloria was an AMAZING instructor! She fully prepped me for my driving test and answered all of my questions! We went over practice test roads multiple times, and explained things in a way that made sense. She is definitely everything you want in a music instructor: she’s super chill, has great music taste, and is very easy to talk to. :) I’m so glad I got the chance to be her student. I passed my driving test with only ONE error!

I absolutely loved Gloria as an instructor! She was amazing! Very understanding and patient with me. I got the 10 hour package and am a better driver for it. Took me on the freeway and always helped me to correct my mistakes. I passed my test on my first try and only missed 4 points! And I also only started the classes 2 weeks before my test! I highly recommend her:)

If I could give Drive N Skillz more stars, I would. I highly recommend this driving school. My daughter wanted to learn how to drive and I didn’t know how to teach her. I felt very nervous and I wanted her to learn the right way. I went on Unilocal and found Drive N Skillz. I called right away and Gloria listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. I got the 6 hrs behind the wheel packet. Gloria was on time all the time. My daughter felt very comfortable around her. I upgraded from 6 hours to 10 hours. Gloria not only taught my daughter how to drive, she taught me how to talk to her and how to explain things when my daughter was in the car with me. By her 3rd lesson, I felt comfortable letting my daughter drive the car. I am amazed by how fast she learned. By her 4th lesson, my daughter was driving on the freeway and during the night. Now her next step is to take her driving test. Thanks Gloria, we really appreciate your hard work, patience, and dedication!!! You are the best!!!

I first called Drive N Skillz with interest in getting driving lessons for my sister as a birthday gift. The attendant on the phone was very knowledgeable and recommended a 6 hr. behind the wheel gift certificate. They made it extremely easy to work around her schedule, we choose to have them pick her up at school and drop her off at home. The instructor, Gloria, was very punctual, amiable and bilingual; she was able to explain my sister’s progress to my parents after every lesson along with a written report that informed us what to keep an eye out for when driving with her. My sister really enjoyed her time; she mentioned how her two hr. lessons felt like minutes, she felt very confortable with the car and was able to upgrade to include the drive test service. She was taken for a 1hr practice prior to her driving test, and her DMV appointment right after, needless to say she passed her test at first try and is now a confident safe driver. I would highly recommend Drive N Skillz to any person looking to learn how to drive and obtain their drivers license.
