I will not be using these guys again for any repairs. It took me over a week and a half of calling them everyday to finally get someone to answer the phone and when they answered they had no openings in the time frames we needed so I ended up having to take time off to meet their schedule. They never once returned my voicemails telling them to call me back to setup an appointment. It was like twisting their arm to come out and service my washer. When the repairman came he seemed very disgruntled and we heard him cussing to himself a few times as he worked for well over two hours to try and get the front main gasket on our front load washer replaced. I’m just glad this work was covered under my warranty so that I did not have to pay these guys out of my pocket. Like I said above I will not be going through them again.

This place is terrible! Beware they make up scams. We had called this place because they had come out to service the LG dryer before then this old man came. He immediately started working on dryer. Then about 20 minutes later he came out and said its not the drum like before it is a roller of the drum so thats not covered it will be like 130-$ 135 in cost. I explained to him to wait until my husband came home. When my husband arrived the tech called his boss he told on the phone to pretend he didn’t have the roller and sneak out to truck then left! We were shocked my husband heard his boss say that. And when he told the tech that he said,“Just following the boss’s orders”. Beware make sure NOT to use this service. We had to find someone to help us finish it off. Terrible. –

I’ve used this company multiple times for a variety of appliance repairs. I’ve always been happy with their service and their prices. I am a big DIYer, and I look hard at parts prices before i call for help — and they are always priced right. The repairmen who come have always been very nice and personable, yet experienced with any problem I’ve thrown their way. They’ve always given me good options to examine(«Are you sure you want to spend $ 163 on a control board for a 10 yo refrigerator switch?») One of the other reviewers — Diane K — gave a negative review because she felt she was given valuable advice too late to make a repair decision. I can’t fault her opinion or her review, except where she mentions that they lost her future business for an AC install. Unfortunately for her, she missed out of having her AC installed by ANOTHER very good, and COMPLETELYDIFFERENTCOMPANY! Yes, there are two Dockstaders in Whittier… one does appliances, the other does HVAC. I’ve had them both, and I recommend both companies highly

ZEROSTARS In 1989, I had a bad experience with their repair service and have not done business with them since. They lost a $ 7000 air conditioning job because of their poor service. In ’89, my 10 year old Maytag Washer stopped working. The timer shorted out. I called Dockstaders to repair it. The tech replaced the timer, and talked me into into replacing two belts. Total bill: $ 126. After I wrote the check and he gave me the receipt, he told me it could happen again at any time because the motor caused the timer to short out. That would be another $ 80 to replace the motor. WHYDIDN’T HETELLMEBEFOREHEDIDANYWORKTHATITWOULDCOSTOVER $ 200TOREPAIR A 10YEAROLD $ 400MACHINE? I would have given him the fee for a service call, which was about $ 35 to $ 55 back then, and bought a new washing machine. The machine went out again, in about two months, as the tech predicted. They offered to come out and charge me the same fee again. In 1995, I installed new air conditioning in my house, which had only forced air heating. I called Lennox for information, and they gave my name and number to a few local dealers. Guess who called? Dockstaders. Guess who didn’t get the work?

I’ve been a loyal customer of Dockstader’s Services since moving to Placentia in 1991; they’ve been a warranty service provider for various appliances purchased since that time… most recently, since our appliances are no longer covered by warranty, I continue to use them on a call-out basis. they’ve made modest repairs to our washer/dryer and in the past, our refrigerators… I appreciate Dockstader’s because of their prompt arrival time, exact problem resolution, clean(never making a mess) and reasonable fees. Whenever something goes wrong in our home, Dockstader’s is on my speed-dial! Thanks guys!
