Our residential beds are located in beautiful, estate-​style homes throughout the country each staffed with eating disorder specialists including Certified Eating Disorder Specialists (CEDS) and Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitians (CEDRD). We maintain small, intimate milieus (treating only six clients at a time), with separate facilities for adolescents and adults, because we believe that individualized attention is critical when it comes to providing effective and efficient treatment. Further, because treatment occurs in a home, and not a hospital, it provides greater transferability and internalization of the experience to life after discharge.

Center for Discovery ResidenceUpon admission, every client is assessed by a multidisciplinary treatment team and provided with a comprehensive treatment plan. Our hands-​on dietary program is second to none and includes individualized meal planning and preparation, exposures, restaurant and grocery store outings, as well as kitchen skills and nutrition groups. In addition, each client receives a minimum of six individual sessions per week: one each with the psychiatrist, physician, and registered dietitian, and three with their primary therapist.

Center For Discovery is driven by results and our goal is to provide the best, most effective eating disorder treatment in the field. To this end, we are partnered with the Feinstein Institute for Biomedical Research by examining the process of treatment, how clients fare post-​discharge, and readmission rates. The data suggest that not only are improvements maintained, but that Discovery alumni continue to improve following discharge.
