The owner, Kal, is a down to earth dude. He is honest and tells you exactly how it is. If you pay cash, he gives discounts as well. Definitely the spot that I like to visit for all my car stereo and window tint needs. I have done many things to my cars in the years, and I always come back to this place. Even recommended it to my brother and dad, who both continue to go with Kal and Car Stereo Masters for their car installation for sound and window tint. The guys that install sound system and window tint know exactly what they are doing, and will do a great job on it too. Thanks Kal, for always looking out for my rides and making them even better. I Had my system put in here a few months back, and just went to add onto the system and found out this shop put exposed, torn, used and very much ABUSED wires into my car.
I went back and told the owner and even though there were no cars in the lot at all he sarcastically told me he was too busy to fix it and I would have to reschedule for sometime next month, even though he was the one practically yanking my keys from hand when I went in the first time to purchase my first subs. My experience with the owner goes down as the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Had my dual 12″ subs and amp installed today. Car sounds amazing! Will definitely be coming back for the great pricing.

As far as the fast installation, I can’t say enough. In two hours, I got my windows tinted, sirius radio installed and power door locks! I got a same day appointment, great price and everyone was really friendly. Will definitely come back when I upgrade my radio. Thanks to everyone that helped us out.

I’ve been taking my cars here for years, since the 90s, probably over 5 cars now, and have recommended tons of people over the years. Not sure I will be doing that any longer. I’ve known these guys a long time, but they don’t even remember me. Goes to show how much they care about their customers.
For as long as I’ve know Khal and Car Stereo Masters, prices have always been a bit higher. It was not much of a problem before because of convenience (my parents live walking distance), and I had a place to hang out while they worked on my car.
I’ve been taking cars here way before broadband and Unilocal days. Now with Unilocal,you have so many more choices and the truth about these shady spots comes out.
I would have liked to give this shop more stars, considering how long I’ve known them, but after really seeing the quality of the work done, I won’t think to even take my cars here again or recommend to anyone. To be fair, it’s not the owner Khal’s fault, but some of the tweakers he hires; I don’t know, either they are overworked or incompetent. The wiring done by these guys is super sloppy. Since the wiring is all behind the scenes, you won’t know how sloppy it is til you take apart your car. You may not find the result of sloppy wiring til years down the road when your car starts to short circuit and smoke on you, something that happened to me; luckily I was able to find the fault before my car burnt down. In addition, pieces and screws are not put back in place or go missing which devalues your car when you try to resell it.
Lastly, do not get a tint job here. First off it’s overpriced. Go to groupon or living social and you’ll find much better quality deals there. They will try to sell it to you with a «lifetime» warranty. I came back to take advantage of the lifetime warranty because my tint was peeling. Some of it was was also scratched (which is not covered). Get clarification on this so called «lifetime» warranty before making a decision. I was not even offered a discount, just absurd full price quotes to replace my tint that I originally purchased at Car Stereo Masters which did not last, only to be quoted shameful rip off prices, compared to other tint shops. My sister got her tint job here as well and is now cloudy and bubbling. Read other reviews here and hear about their bad «lifetime warranty» experiences.
Sadly and lastly, I gotta say thumbs down to this place and have to part ways to a better stereo and tint shop.

Don’t know why I took so long to leave a review. I’ve been here 3 times over the course of 3 – 4 years and have been happy every single time. Best prices around, down to earth people, and super knowledgeable. I trust them with everything. Seriously, just trust me. Only bad thing is because they’re so busy it’s hard to find a good time to schedule appointments. I normally just try to be there early in the morning when they open to drop off my ride.
The most important thing I’ve found about Mike (main guy who does installs), is that he’s honest. They won’t try to upsell you or bullshit you on stuff you don’t need. If you have components that are fine, they won’t tell you it sucks and you should swap em for something that they sell. On one occasion, the 4ch amp I bought was faulty when they were installing the rest of my system, and the owner called to let me know and offer me a VERY CHEAP price on a way better, brand new JL amp. I said okay and showed up 2 hours later and my system was bumping better than it ever had.
I refer all my friends to Car Stereo Masters, they know their shit.

Came by with my own amp and install kit. They installed it for $ 50 flat. Did a really nice job. Very professional. They also have a nice leather couch to watch TV while you get your car serviced.
As far as audio equipment, they have a ton of brand new subs. They also have some used ones already in boxes.

Shopped around, found this Stereo Shop with best price in town. Also Kal was so helpful, very knowledgeable in this field and had great customer service. Prices can’t be beat, best price in town. Definitely coming back with my wife’s car. Highly recommend. Louie

Nice little spot. The owner was knowledgeable and the prices weren’t too bad. Installation was quick. I would recommend this spot to anybody.

There are three ways to upgrade car stereo. The cheapest way is to buy the parts online and install it oneself. One can go to a Fry’s or Best Buy, the next cheapest option. Finally, one can go to a car stereo expert. When I don’t have the time or expertise for a certain job, I prefer to to go to a particular shop where I trust the owner or salespeople.
I trust the owner of Car Stereo Master, Cal. He knows just about everything there is to know about car stereo. Knowledge is important with some installs because some cars need special modules or there are tricks to tearing apart a particular dash. I ask him for advice on products like speakers and feel like he gives an honest answer. The best part is that he’ll fix little problems with the install. I had a problem with AM reception and he took the stereo out and installed a new antenna.
I’ve been there for three vehicles and have eventually left happy every time.

I have to say, I was hesitant about trying this place at first, but I did and was quite suprised. You need to get with Mike for your audio & electronic needs. He was helpful, knowledgeable, & more importantly, he gives you options. I had a stereo & speakers installed in my 1976 Jimmy & he did such a good job, I came back the same day to have speakers put in my Tacoma & he also fixed my auto door lock that’s been broken for over a year.
If you’ve overlooked this place, check it out. It’s much better than it appears.

This place is great! We had priced a stereo with installation at Best Buy La Habra /​Fullerton and were told we’d have to provide faceplate and some mounting hardware from the Dodge dealer. My vehicle is a 2007, so it didn’t sit right with us. Pricing was really high too. We showed up here, got what we wanted and then some. Paid about the same as Best Buy but got lots and lots of extras. The service was great from the owner and Mike, we’ll, I can’t say enough great things about him. As my husband puts it, they got the WOW from me and that says a lot!

Had my stereo ripped out by a thief. Lucky I had a spare so I went to this place to get it installed. SUPER quick, efficient and reasonable (around $ 50 out the door). I would definitely recommend this spot.

Great deal, great service. Great sound. Can’t complain. Alpine digital media reciever, all new speakers front and back, 1200 watt amp running a 12″ rockford fosgate shallow in my single cab silverado. Haha Way more than enough sound. Thanks guys.

If it could be NO stars. it would be. I walked in. The middle eastern owner was there, no greeting.. Didn’t acknowledge me.. I had to ask about a stereo. He set the price of a head unit at 160. then once I asked about installation. Price went to 220. then I asked about the installation kit. He set the price at 50. that’s 10 to install ?? I said I will bring the car so he can set a more accurate price. then he went back to his phone call. During my stay after our price quotes.. He mention on the phone that I (a customer) was there and will probably look online for better prices like «they» all do and come to him to fix what I messed up !! — he said this plenty loud and so I could hear him. So. I did go check online. found out about his $ 55+ markup (compared to best buy of all places) on the exact same head unit. went to buy it at best buy. I even found the install kit and harness there for $ 20 and installed it same day without any problems ! Fyi. If you get the kits from best buy audio install department. they are cheaper then in store kits and the exact same thing. just in bags. I will not go back to this place because the owners attitude and rudeness. we are all consumers looking for a great deal. I’m sure he doesn’t pay retail with large markups if he can avoid it.

Very disappointed with the customer service. Had some stereo equipment installed and tint done on my car here 11 years ago. Was offered a life time warranty. I still have the same car and the tint is starting to bubble so I called and spoke to the owner about having it fixed. He said he doesn’t have the paperwork anymore because it’s been over 7 years but the best he could do is split the cost ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. I understand he doesn’t want a loss in money but I was offered a life time warranty. We argued on the phone for a few minutes about it. He told me that I can take him to small claims court and that his throat is bothering him and to call him in two weeks then hung up on me. I’ve never had such horrible customer service anywhere! He was very rude to me. He shouldn’t offer a life time warranty if he isn’t going to honor that.

Mike is knowledgable, available, careful, and down right awesome!!! Prices are below par, work done is way above par! This guy is the definition of GOLD STANDARD!
