Big D’s Burgers

Literally been waiting for my food for 25 minutes… A family came in after my boyfriend and I, and they got their food first. I’m about to walk out if my food isn’t here within the next 5. I hate leaving bad reviews by the way but this was just ridiculous…
So they ended up bringing my food. Not gonna lie burger is delicious. I don’t know how it came out to $ 14.00 though if I got the classic ($ 9) and ($ 2.50) avocado slices. I asked my server and she didn’t give me an answer??? hmmm. Then when we paid we didn’t even get a receipt… I don’t know what’s going on here but the vibes are not high, food is overpriced, and the free churro for checking in tasted dry and cold. There is no hype on this place, not worth the wait or the small-​hot– environment. Not coming back.

We had a great time here taking our out-​of town family and enjoying the phenomenally sized portions! The meat was tasty on all of our burgers — we live 30 minutes away and would definitely come back for the food. The Godfather and the Patty Melt are highly recommended.
Karissa took care of us and our needs. The only negative about this place is the long wait outside to get in, and inside the timing of our food. Guess good food doesn’t cook itself!

This place has the best creations ever. You can have them make any shake creation you want. To do that simply look on there Instagram page! There plates are big enough to share for sure. I had there godfather burger. It was the best combination i have ever had. Great date night spot to hang out! For two people you can easily spend $ 40 but quality over price is everything. Definatley will be going back.

My mom and I came for dinner. After we finished, we knew the reviews definitely didn’t lie. The food tasted amazing, and Daysia made sure to bring it out on time. We’re coming back.

This place is horrible. DO NOT waste your time, money, or food. Bad service, prices are high, and food is not good. I had to wait 20 minutes for a drink after being seated. The lemonade ordered was the worse tasting lemonade I’ve ever had. This place will be out of business real soon if no changes are made to their service and staff.

First experience at Big D’s and it definitely won’t be my last. We made it in just before the dinner rush and decided to sit out on their patio. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the wings & a pineapple michelada and I was blown away. The presentation for the Michelada was superb & HUGE and talk about delicious! The hot wings took the cake! I had both the normal hot wings and the bacon wrapped hot wings. I’m just speechless! My mouth is still watering after because they were just that good. Tender, juicy, and just the perfect amount of sauce. Thank you Big D’s for setting the standard of delicious. I’ll be back for sure!

Found this place on Unilocal decided to come in the place is small we decided to sit outside on the patio which I enjoyed it was about 80 degrees outside today on a Tuesday around 1:30 ish. After reading the entire menu I decided to get the godfather and just a water and the French fries.
My burger was hot juicy and mouth-​watering almost orgasmic LOL french fries were nice and hot and fresh their food was amazing!!! I will go back when I’m craving something like that. Service may not be as fast as people would like it to be but I don’t mind that I know that I’m not the only one eating and just as long as they don’t forget about me and they didn’t the two girls who took care of me and my guest today we’re very kind and courteous explained everything to me I was very grateful for that very polite and very friendly but great customer service thank you very much

Great food! Good portions! Well seasoned! I had the Godfather burger and it was delicious! Fresh ingredients, you could tell the beef was hand pressed and it was well layered with pepperoni.
The shakes were $ 12 (but ONLY START at that price– and the more expensive shakes are NOT bigger in size!) and although look yummy, not worth 12 $-15 $, more like 8 $
Worst part was the slow, delayed service. There was not enough staff to service in a timely manner. One shake was served 10 – 20 minutes before the other, even though They’d both been ordered at the same time. No server had been rude but they also were oblivious to our dirty dishes sitting for 15 minutes before they were slid over TO THEM by us.
So, then after THEY had terrible service AND a very limited amount of table tops, a strange unknown employee comes out — while we chatted away — to ask if everything has gone ok? If we were happy? — which was a very clear HINT To tell us «finish up and leave because we have people waiting!»
This was very rude seeing that they did NOT have their timing and service on point, at several points during our stay.

Best milkshake in town. I come here all the way from the South Bay and it never disappoints. And can’t forget about their burgers and melts. Highly recommend

You know that chick that looks bomb on Instagram but when you see them in person you double take/​cringe because they be false advertising to the max. That’s Big Ds. I was so excited to try this place as the pictures look amazing but was so disappointed by my experience. The burger was ok, the meat was dry, fries were nothing special. THEN the shakes… Wow just wow we asked our server for a menu of shakes, she prompted us to look at their Instagram… Ok fine, we found one we liked. Nope they don’t have the ingredients for it. Hmmm ok picked out another one… Yup you guessed it, THEY DONT HAVE THE INGREDIENTS. I was over it but my daughter wanted to get one regardless so I asked what they did have and they brought us a s’mores shakes. Cute presentation but definitely not worth price tag as there was maybe 6 oz of actual shake, all fluff.
I would never go back.

Seen pictures all over Instagram so went to check it out ! OMG! it was amazing !! Food is super well price «bang for your buck» … Most Items are big portions … We got the fat boy burger, outlaw burger, big D’s burger … And some zucchini fries, and regular fries and some onion rings … Burgers were big and juicy and flavorful !! And to top the cherry off we got the fruity pebbles shake ! We loved this place … Totally coming back !

* Service is slow I was waiting for her to give me the check forever, also I was standing in front of the restaurant for about 10 minutes, thinking somebody was in there, door was locked, The waiters passed by me several times I looked at them with a lost look on my face no one bothered to tell me that they keep the restrooms locked.

It probably been a year since we have been back. We would go back but its a bit of a drive for us and the wait is usually long and when Im hungry… I want to eat… and eat fast. Anyways the shakes are beautiful. but beauty comes at a cost… it is expensive… so I would share a shake if you are with someone. Buy it once for the experience at least. The burgers are delish. I really enjoyed the food and drinks. Well worth the visit. Will be back one day!

I came in to try out the restaurant because it’s been a couple of years since I had stopped by. The first time experience was when they had recently opened and the food wasn’t great. I came in and noticed the menu was different but the emphasis was still on the burgers. I’m sad to say that I am still not impressed for the following reasons:
* Party’s meals were served separately instead of together.
* The fries were served cold.
* They add on cost to items that were not indicated on the menu. The server informs you of the extra cost with the bill. Trying to disagree with the hostess is pointless. Apparently, she is in charge and needs a course in English and Customer Service to understand.
* The Unilocal add check-​in state you get a free churro but they took 10 minutes to serve it. Gave me the impression they didn’t want to serve it.
* Poor and slow customer service.
The reason that I rate them a 3 and not a 1 is due to the burger and hot dog I sampled were tasty. I am too disenchanted with their prices and my experience, so I will definitely not be returning. I do miss the simpler days of Spartan Burgers.

The only downfall is they are not speedy. And I also came at the perfect time cause Ive passed by at times and its was packed with a line outside! Burgers are $ 9-​$ 10 so its best to share, trust me they’re huge. Plus is Angus Beef style so its like eating a Burger Steak.
I had the Rebel Burger (Chili Cheese, pickles) kept it simple. Ive been known to chow everything down. not today… burgers are no joke. 1″ thick for sure, seasoned really well, cooked it perfect too! I could taste the seasoning even over the chili. The sides are so yummy… Carb heaven!
OMG the milkshakes!!! Next time Ive got to try one.

My girlfriend lives in Whittier and heard all about this place on IG so we decided to try it out.
The restaurant is very small so except to wait a while for a table during busy hours, parking lot is tiny as well.
The foods nothing to go crazy about, we got a patty melt, a regular burger, fries, and onion rings. The portions are huge but everything was super salty, even the ranch. They also don’t bring all the food together, I had to wait about 10 min for them to bring her burger out while mine sat on the table getting cold, and the fries and onion rings came way after they brought her burger. In N Out has better burgers in my opinion. My girlfriend also got a michelada that was $ 15!!! $ 15!!! Do they get their pricing from the concessions at Dodgers Stadium?
Even though we were pretty full we decided to get one of their famous milk shakes, since we knew we would never be coming back again. We got a Cookie Crisp shake that was also around $ 15 and like the michelada definitely not worth the money. It was actually pretty bad. It was pretty much a mountain of whipped cream with blue frosting, really really stale cereal and a cup or so of actual milk shake. I still cant believe they actually use stale cereal.
For 2 of us we spent a little over $ 80 for some burgers, that’s absolutely crazy. This place is way over hyped.

Come hungry!!! I’m not joking… The milkshakes come with a side of pie, or a doughnut or cupcake! My friend and I came for the sweets but next time we want to try the food!
The store is small, but clean. Only one bathroom and there’s a large patio space. They do serve alcohol– some lady had the craziest bloody many of life!
Since it’s a gem in a strip mall, there will be a line. Prep for it!

burgers and fries were priced well.
the classic burger: typical cheeseburger but the beef was hearty without all the grease. burger was ok, nothing outstanding.
turkey burger lettuce wrap with added avo was tasty and good portions. also nongreasy which was good.
sweet potato fries: very good, no salt or excess grease. my fave part of the meal.
the shakes: we got strawberry cheesecake and horchata. VERY DISAPPOINTED! they asked us to pick one from the instagram page. when asked about typical prices the waitress said it varies but didnt give us a typical amount. I also asked for just the shake. however they brought them out one had a cheesecake and one w churro. great presentation but NOT worth $ 14 a shake! the shake was worth more than my entire meal. They should give customers average or base price $ 28 for two milkshakes is cray. I am a total foodie and will drive to LA for the best desserts and dont mind spending $$ on dishes that are Worth it. sadly I won’t be returning.

The burger was huge! My main complaint was with the amount of sodium. Too much! The onion rings were tasty but a little too oily. The girls working were very sweet and friendly. But it took forever, over 20 minutes, to get our burger. And then the onion rings came out later when we were half done with the burger.

Okay let me start off by saying. The place is very creative when it come to making the shakes but the food it’s self is so so.
The service is not that great either. They almost seem like they don’t want to be there. Oh and there website claims you can order food to go but when I tried to order a shake and they said «
“They couldn’t» oh and p. s. they use a blender that is super load for the shakes!
Might want to bring earplugs.
They need better service/​they need to expand and stick to your damn rules!
if your website says you can order food to go then I should be able to order my shake to go since your place is small and service sucks!

Another fun visit to Big D’s with of course milkshakes in mind.
Much like my second visit here at the end of 2015, actual food was ordered to go along with the milkshakes instead of milkshakes alone. This time around, the shroom burger was ordered. Like other burgers I’ve tried here, the burger was flavorful and very filling. The patties are pretty big and are well seasoned all throughout.
I felt like being creative with my side dish. I really enjoyed the beer battered onions rings that I had topped with chili, cheese and bacon my last visit… so I figured why not have the same thing done to the tempura mushrooms I ordered? Who would have thought fried mushrooms smothered in chili would taste so good. Let’s not forget those delicious pieces of bacon as well.
For milkshakes the Smores, Mint Oreo and Lucky Charms were ordered. This was my first time with the Lucky Charms milkshake. I love that cereal and it was even better in milkshake form. Those marshmallows took me back to my child hood. For the other two, I’ve had the Smores and Mint Oreo from past visits. Two thumbs up on the delicious shakes as well.
Big D’s continues to be lots of fun not only with their endless varieties of milkshakes but also with the food that you can pretty much do whatever to if they have the ingredients available. Chili cheese bacon tempura fried mushrooms… must I say more?

This place is located in a small plaza that shares a lot. I would advise if you want to come to try coming super early to avoid crowds otherwise you’ll be waiting in line till tables open.
I came here seeing their shakes on instagram but man. its expensive for crafted shakes. I came here the first time with my kids and a second time with a friend since he wanted to go. Honestly I wouldnt eat here. Their legendary big D burger was good but everything is superrrr greasy and extremely oily. The second time I came and ordered fish and chips. Man my fish came out super DARK as well as my fries. So who knows how old that oil is in the back or how long it sat there.
Their crafted shakes is originally what brought me there in the first place. Its super expensive for one btw $ 15 dollars for just some shakes created to look pretty? If it wasnt for my friend i wouldnt have come back. Also given the second time i ordered it didnt even come out pretty. Came out really ugly. My friends looked super simple. So its totally not worth the money when u can probably make it at home yourself.
The first time I came i went really early so there was only 1 other couple there with us. Service was super slow since there was only 6 people sitting there to eat. I do recall signing the reciept and paying for tip by card. But my second go here. i was left a note on top that tip is cash only? Im sorry but im one of those people who rarely carry cash. My friend paid the tip but even he was like WTF. The receipt she gave back to me even had a tip spot so why does it need to be cash? I know i sound like im complaining but i didnt have a good experience here at all. I wouldnt come back and i wouldnt recommend it. My first crafted shaked looked way better then my second visit. And again it was really expensive just to whip up something so simple. Whatever i wont be back. Besides. who wants to scarf down food made of old oil and tons of grease? Not me.

I’m full… Burger was huge for just 10 bucks. Shakes were fantastic. Pretty pricey but expected for how fancy and delicious they are. All around really good and cool place.

Came here for a snack and dessert. We’ve passed by a few times and finally decided to pop in. We were so curious about how they made the desserts since we couldn’t find them on the online menu. We got to pick any photo of the dessert we found on their Instagram to choose from. We chose the s’more and it was beyond amazing! We also got mozzarella sticks that were delicious, the outside was crispy and inside was nice and gooey! The service was great! The ladies are beyond nice and helpful. Everything came out quickly. Will definitely be back again.

There aren’t enough minutes in a day for me to begin to explain how disappointing this place is. Negative stars, and I wish everyone would please read this and spare themselves some money, patience, and time. I didn’t bother reading the reviews and I really wish I had.
Service was beyond shit. Every single last waitress deserves to be fired. So extremely rude, unprofessional and the white bitch with glasses probably spit in my food. I tried to be nice but she completely made my dinner with my family a horrible time. We waited 30 minutes to be seated at a table and they forgot a seat. We were a table of 6 and by the time they acknowledged us they realized they forgot a chair. They took our order, and we waited 25 minutes for 2 people to be brought their meals, another 15 minutes for 2 other people to be served and another 35 minutes for FRIES. YES FRIES … FRIES. We weren’t brought refills, we weren’t given utensils, they messed up my order, none of my family got to even eat together, and they brought us warm milkshakes after we asked them about 5 times if they had made them. We wanted to cancel the order but they had started to make one. The waitress would PURPOSELY avoid us. Every one else in the restaurant seemed to be upset as well. We asked for boxes 4 times and had to get up and almost grab them ourselves. Our dinner was ruined and we left upset and irritated. Almost 160 $ for a horrible dinner experience. The food wasn’t that bad but I won’t be returning.
FYI: the shakes don’t even look the way they do as advertised on Instagram. I’m not even lying.

Delish! This place has AMAZING customer service and food. It’s a small little place so it’s better to come with a smaller group if you want to be seated sooner. The waitresses are extremely helpful with milkshake recommendations and will help customize it to how you want it. The burgers are just as tasty. You can’t tip on a card right now so bring cash because you’ll want to tip after such wonderful service. I have plans to come here once a month to continue trying the different flavor shakes.

I ate here for the first time a little over a week ago and I was very happy (: at first I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place because it is very understated for a business that makes such extravagant creations. My milkshake was gorgeous and the chili cheese fries were to die for. Needless to say I’ll be coming back. Oh and of course the customer service was also excellent.

This review is based solely on their desserts as that’s all we came here for. We sat outside which had a funny odor. We saw no desserts on the menu, but knew they had them since we saw their Instagram which is how we heard about them. They told us all their desserts were only on their Instagram page but when we checked there were no descriptions and only pictures. It took a really long time to track down a server and put in our order and there were also no prices for the desserts. The dessert presentation was amazing and the shakes were very tasty. The donut on top was stale and hard. Also, there was way too much whipped cream on the place. Worth the hype to try the place out, but don’t think it was good enough to keep coming back.

This place has been so close and we finally tried tonight. All I have to say is amazing. Such great service. Kathia was amazing and so friendly. You will not be disappointed #BigDs

I would like to be able to write about the quality of the food served here, but seeing as we didn’t even stay to order I’ll just have to comment on the little bit of customer service my family and I received.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now, so last night we decided to drive over despite it being rush hour. We get there and the place is packed. It’s tiny, so it’s probably always packed. It was my husband, 2 kids and myself. We left our name and were told we’d be seated as soon as a table became available by one of the waitresses. We were never offered patio seating even though we would’ve waited for indoor seating seeing as it was pretty cold outside.
A family of 5 left right in the middle of the restaurant so we thought we’d be seated after only waiting a few minutes. Another waitress then came up to us to tell us that she could only give us outdoor seating. I asked if we could sit at the newly vacant table and she told me that a party that was already sitting outside wanted to move inside so we couldn’t sit there.
That to me is pretty ridiculous. Why would you move someone who was already eating, especially If they were fine with sitting outside to begin with?
I wasn’t going to sit in the cold with my kids and I wasn’t going to wait around for another table when one was already empty.
It didn’t seem like there was much communication between employees because the 2^nd waitress never checked with the first to see that we were already waiting. As we left the restaurant I turned back and noticed that nobody even went in to sit at the cleared table, so they lost a few customers because of poor communication and customer service.

We ordered the Fruity Pebbles milkshake (so amazing), fries, michelada (amazing) and a burger. Check out their instagram for the different milkshake creations. Only knocking a star because the price was a little ridiculous. $ 14 for milk and ice cream… granted there was some art /​love put into it but $ 14 is pretty steep in my opinion.
Our server was really attentive and funny, it took a little while to be seated but overall great experience.

Wanted to try this place for some time now since I live not too far from it. The milkshakes is what seriously caught my eye on Instagram. I am a huge fan of desserts and even more so of ice cream. We came here tonight .Vday. just for a casual dinner and mainly a michalada (super yummy btw) and then a milkshake. Sounds terrible I know but both looked Devine from pics. Here’s the breakdown:
1: the place was PACKED. like people waiting an hour. It’s a small place… Maybe 10 tables max.
2: burgers — good and big. Most people were splitting them. We did. The chili burger. Yum_​o.
3: salad– huge. Plenty for 3 people. No joke.
4: milk shake. OMG. LIKE OMG. I was so full by this time I was a little sad but probably better I didn’t over indulge.
Overall, the place was good. For sure 4 stars. probably 4.5 really. The service was a little lacking. They were busy but could have used a little help in the front of the house. But really the customer service part made up for it. Would have been a 5 If the service response time was better. But maybe it was an off night. Randy, the manager explained to us that we could tip on the cc transaction because of a merchant issue. We felt bad because we didn’t have any cash. He said only word of mouth and honest reviews is important. Small business with no advertising. Well people .you have good food and AMAZING unique milkshakes. The people will come. Clearly with the hour long wait and people not walking away. So bravo. A success I must say.

3.5 Stars for the Shake and Presentation. Can’t comment on the food though as we just came for the shake!
So my friend and I came here on a Saturday afternoon. This place has been on our bookmarks for quite some time. We walked in and we asked to be seated outside. We had to flag the girl down to help us as we were interested in their famous shakes. She stated that they didn’t have a menu and to check their instagram page which we did but had questions on… literally we waited like 13 minutes for someone to come but no one did. I finally approached the server and told her we were ready. Finally she came and we told her what we wanted. I asked her about the shake that was on their instagram page that they recently posted I asked if the strawberries were actually fresh or the canned strawberries and she said they were fresh she stated they were fresh.
Sooo we got our shake and seriously we loved the presentation. Their presentation is a masterpiece. The shake itself wad delicious however the donut on the side was not good it was hard and the strawberries are glazed. Not sure if they were canned but I saw them come out of a tupperware container so Im assuming they are canned and not actually fresh. I was hoping to have strawberries without the glaze.: (the shake tasted great way too much whip crème and glaze for my liking but shake was good my friend and I enjoyed it.
Service was bad here we wanted our check and we actually had to go up to the front counter ourselves to ask for the check and pay. The shake costs about $ 15 – 16. A little pricey if you ask me. I wouldnt mind coming back and trying another shake but will make sure to ask for some modifications on it. Hopefully they can improve on their service too.

Our first time here, service was outstanding and friendly! No wait whatsoever. Food was amazing. Burgers were juicy and cooked to ones’ request… Perfection. Big juicy and flavorfull, simply satisfying.
My daughter had fish and chips, awesome, that pollack lacked no flavor…
Their strawberry lemonade fresh… Micheladas… Superb topped with a grilled shrimp and Mexican candy.
Moving o to dessert… Speechless! Coke float and cotton candy purple shake… Churros and vanilla ice cream… Felt we needed to walk home.
So happy and excited I finally found a burger spot close to home. Definetly coming back with my little fam soon!

I had been wanting to try this place for a while now and so happy I finally got to. We went on a Monday around 6−630pm so it was perfect because it wasn’t too busy yet. Soon after we got there more people starting getting there.
The food menu is pretty simple but has something for everyone. Our waitress was really nice and friendly and didn’t rush us. We order a couple of burgers. My brother and I were sharing one and without asking she offered to have it cut in half for us. The burgers were a good size, lots of meats for those meat lovers out there. And if you love bacon, the bacon on the burgers was cooked to perfection (and I love bacon!!!).
We also got the chili cheese friend which were amazing. Lots of cheese and chili, perfect for the chilly weather. We wanted to try the bacon wrapped onion rings and buffalo wings which we ended up getting after our burgers because they take a little longer since they have to hand wrap them (so I recommend putting that order in first).
Since we all shared (boyfriend, brother and myself), we had enough run for dessert. I wanted to try the churros and our waitress (I apologize for not remembering her name, she was great) said that if I checked in on Unilocal I could get a free one and try them out, which I did and they were delicious!
My boyfriend got wanted the banana nut shake but they unfortunately we’re out of bananas (big bummer) but he went for his second choice Oreo Cookies. We got it pretty quick and the presentation was great! He was very happy with it and it was well worth it. It was really good, definitely would recommend it. Lots of cookies and also added sour patch kids and pop rocks to the decorations.
Overall, we really enjoyed it. We definitely look forward to going back and trying some of the other delicious burgers and shakes. I would definitely recommend sharing some of the plates since everything is so good and filling. :)

Amazing food and drinks! The strawberry lemonade was sooo good and the chili cheese fries were to die for! :) service was great and the girl was so sweet. I’ll definitely be back. Did I mention that they have micheladas?

I wish I had saved room for the milkshake and churro!

Ordered a burger to create it myself. Ordered bacon n egg in my burger medium well. For some reason it didn’t come with any condiments. My burger was pretty dry. Luckily I had a fried egg and that made it a little better. I also ordered no onions, but it still came with it. I know it seems really easy just to take the onions out but I could still taste the onions a little bit.
We shared some chili cheese fries. The fries have a flavored battered on them. The chili cheese on top is OK. The mixture of the two just seemed a little bit salty for my taste.
My boyfriend ordered a cookies and cream milkshake. The prices were not listed anywhere so I knew it would be a little expensive, but $ 14 for a milkshake?! That’s a little over-​the-​top don’t you think? Overall the burgers were decent but I probably won’t be back.
Don’t forget to check in to get a free mini Churro. They’re filled with what seems like Carmel or condensed milk. Not too bad.

It was a Saturday night, I was hAngry, and all I wanted was a burger. We looked to Unilocal and found this place was close by so we went. It was supposed to be a casual night, but boy did it turn into quite the dining experience.
We waited 15 minutes to get our table, which seemed quite reasonable, but we really appreciated the manager’s friendliness in specifically coming over to apologize to us for the wait.
The 3 of us each decided to order a burger and share 1 regular fries and 1 chili cheese fries. The burgers are HUMONGOUS. I could barely fit my Outlaw burger in my mouth because it was stacked so high, and it was definitely the smallest of the 3 we ordered (the other 2 were the Legendary and the Fatboy). Needless to say, they were all delicious. The fries were good, until we had the chili cheese fries and our minds were blown. You can really taste the meat in every bite. I mean, most chilis have meat, but I can really taste the beefyness. We really savored every bite and were scraping the bottom of the plate.
Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we got dessert. They have about 60 – 70 milkshakes, all priced higher than their burgers. It was a little annoying that they didn’t have a menu with all the options, but we were salivating making our decision when we looked through their Instagram account. We opted to try the Salted Caramel Bacon and the Reese’s shakes. The Reese’s was a peanut butter lover’s dream, and unfortunately that’s just not me. My husband was very happy with it. My brother and I on the other hand were all about the Salted Caramel Bacon shake. We could taste gulps of caramel in every sip. Even better was when we took a sip with a bite of bacon or bite of caramel popcorn.
With the amount of food we ate, poor decisions were surely made, but our stomachs were full and happy and we’ll definitely come back when we recover.

Go big or go home… Big D’s is going to serve you up real good. I’ve had this place bookmarked for over a year but this place was over an hour away and I wanted it to be worth the drive. I had seen pictures before but I had to see them in person, taste them and I wanted the food to be mine all mine!
Do you like burgers, fries, bacon, onion rings… how about milkshakes? Stop your car and put it in park because your about to get a real treat. I promise you won’t be disappointed. And if
you are disappointed you apparently don’t have taste buds. What I can promise is a trip to the gym because you are going to have to work off some calories but it will be well worth it!
I was lucky enough to have dining companions Chel and Vince joining me for dinner. To start we ordered strawberry lemonade. Delicious!
I even licked the sugar off rim of my glass! I’m not
even a big fan of strawberry lemonade either!
We ordered A LOT of food, I would like to blame it on Chel and Vince however it was my decision to order almost everything on the menu.
We started we an appetizer of beer battered onion rings, fried mushrooms and fried zucchini sticks. Loved it all!
Vince also ordered bacon covered onion rings and Chel got bacon covered chicken wings. Yes you heard me right they were both covered in bacon! If you are a BACON LOVER your gonna want to try them! For our main dishes I got a chicken sandwich but I had it put on their freshly grated Parmesan sourdough bread. It was the BOMB!
Worth every calorie I consumed! Yes they might be known for their burgers but they offered other options like turkey burger, tuna melts, chicken, and fish. It’s nice to have options! Vince got a hot dog covered in bacon and the best part of that was it was $ 2!
Ok now let’s get to my favorite part DESSERT! If you like milkshakes you might have a problem here like I did. They have a zillion different kinds and I couldn’t pick just one!

I couldn’t make a decision so they made
me a sample platter of 4 different kinds. They were all amazing! Chel got the Oreo shake which was humongous and somehow I convinced her to share that with me too. Vince’s milkshake was my favorite! He got the Cronut, Nutella, banana and Twinkie Milkshake! It was so pretty, like a piece of artwork! I want to go back and try them all! The best treat of all was Jen the owner
heard I like donuts and surprised us with a giant donut! Honestly I was in Heaven… one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten!
Tip– Try to save room for your free churro with check in!

After trying to make it out to Whittier for the past few weeks, I decided it was time to make the voyage to the Mecca of all chili cheese fry lovers! We arrived the way one does when stepping into a fantasy. Thunder rumbles and lightning strikes lighting up the Big D’s burger sign. Clouds make way as I walk into what appears to be a line of hungry people. I’m suddenly confused… then a lovely couple tells me to go sign in and then you stand in line. As I walk up to the front to put our name down… THE ONE… THE ONLY… RANDY FROM Unilocal is running this show! I was so excited that I got to meet one of my Unilocal buddies! The wait wasn’t too long. We had a party of 3. We, of course, ordered the Chili cheese fries. Wow. All the flavor! The fries alone were outstanding but the Chili just took the amazingness to the next level. My taste buds rejoiced! We ordered a patty melt, a rebel, and a hot dog. The food was so freaking good. I love thick patties and these were just the right size!!! Just when we thought we were done we decided to order a SNICKERS MILKSHAKE. OH LORD!!! I swear. I will need one every month just to survive.
***** The best part about the food is that you can tell it’s good quality! Our family is from beef County Kansas. We know good meat. This place is putting quality meats in your belly!!! We can’t wait to be back. ******

I came here with one thing on the mind… shakes! And man was I not disappointed. Then I began to explore the menu, kicking myself with every description due to the fact that I had already eaten right before. I couldn’t go without trying something food wise so bacon wrapped onion rings it was.
The bacon wrapped onion rings was a bacon lovers dream (my dream) lol. Pure bacon surrounded the onions with no batter or at least that’s what I got from it. This was awesome! A must order for both onion ring and bacon fans.
Now for the shakes. The possibilities were endless but for this trip I narrowed it down to two which were the smores and strawberry cheesecake shakes. The smores was decent as it was everything you would receive from a smore including the flaming marshmallow. I also did enjoy the gram cracker crumbs at the bottom of the shake. The best of the two however was the strawberry cheesecake shake. This was amazing! All the flavorful goodness of a strawberry cheesecake with an actual slice to compliment it on the side. Highly recommended from myself.
This was more than enough to bring me back for more shakes and food. Burgers and bacon wrapped hot wings is on the agenda for my next visit. Lets not forget those shakes… its going to be a tough one choosing the next flavor to try.
