Business Owner

I first studied photography a few years after high school, it was a B&W course where I learned to process my own film and make my own prints in a darkroom. Years later when I returned to school, I studied the fundamentals of Graphic Design, including typography, color theory and layout. I also returned to photography, and graduated with my Bachelors in Studio Art from CSULB (Go Beach!) I launched After Image Studio in 2012.

I hired Gerardo to shoot photos for an event. Wow, After Image Studio provided extremely professional work! The turn around time was impressive, especially considering the amount of photos that were taken and edited. And Gerardo has an eye for the right moments and how to capture them beautifully.
Again, his professionalism went beyond the usual expectations for an event photographer. He showed up early, stayed the entire event, and made sure all the photos we wanted were taken. Thanks to him I have precious photos of my important event.
He uses professional equipment and professional editing software. If you are looking for a professional photo sitting or an event photographer, then this is the right person for the job. Gerardo’s is easy going, friendly and professional at the same time. He can put any photo subject and ease and create a comfortable environment for the perfect photo.

Where to begin with Gerardo’s work… he is one of the best in the business that’s for sure! He’s worked on our engagement photos, wedding photos, and family photos and will probably work on more in the future. He is very willing to work with your vision but also gives you ideas to improve that vision. He is very patient, detail oriented, and professional… AND if he was able to survive my crazy, control-​freak self, I am positive he can handle any work you throw at him. His touch up is also one of a kind and shows in the work he shows on facebook. Look him up, you’ll see.

I highly recommend Gerardo at After Image Studio. I have been using him for the past 5 years. He has worked on my business logo, cards, brochures, step and repeat, different advertising prints for promotions. As well as photography. It’s great to work with someone whom is passionate about his profession and is very detail oriented. He listens and works with what you’d like, as well as giving you his professional input.
