Historical home with spacious guest rooms and a variety of common areas offer you just the escape you need. Sun filled parlors provide a tranquil haven for reading, parlor games, or quiet conversation.

Stroll to shops, restaurants, lakefront and parks. Centrally located for a variety of activities: horse riding, hiking, biking, kayaking, rock climbing, theater, wineries, shopping, and spas.

Guestrooms feature cozy bed, whirlpool and/​or fireplace. Rates include use of butler’s pantry with microwave/​fridge, secure internet access, refreshments, as well as concierge services.

History

Established in 1994.

Business history of Hamilton House Bed and Breakfast,

The first innkeepers opened for guests in 1994 offering up to five guest rooms and three baths. The innkeeper’s private quarters included the first floor bedrooms and parlors.

The Flemings began welcoming guests in October of 2000 with three guest rooms, all private baths and opened the parlors for Guests to enjoy. Renovations in 2001 and 2002 brought the inn to eight guest rooms all feature private baths, most with whirlpools and or fireplaces.

Current innkeepers continually focus on upgrading amenities and rooms insuring the comfort and value of the guests’ experience.

Hamilton House provides outstanding hospitality to the business and leisure travelers.

I am happy Mother of four, Grandma of one, and wife. As an Innkeeper of an eight room bed and breakfast is Southern Wisconsin, I have an outlet for my Hoosier Hospitality. My free time (HAHA) I enjoy reading, walking in the woods, hanging out with my family and cooking new and interesting food for my fathers and brothers (My recipe testers). My idea of a great vacation is no schedule, a lot of nature, a little culture and New, interesting food.

I am trying to embrace the modern age of Social Media, but I much prefer the old fashioned way of chatting with friends over a cup of tea.

My boyfriend and I booked here last minute after a tornado watch derailed our camping plans. Hamilton House is a beautiful place with a rich history. Our room, the Cezanne room, was spotless and tastefully decorated. The owners are friendly and welcoming without being obstrusive in any way, and there are many thoughtful touches throughout (like the cans of seltzer in the communal fridge and the bath salts in the guest bathrooms.) I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at the Hamilton House a couple weeks ago and loved it. The innkeeper is awesome and told us about how the house was once a stop on the Underground Railroad. The home itself is huge and looks appropriate to the time without being cluttered with antiques like some B&Bs are. Everything is tastefully done.
Breakfast was fantastic and the innkeeper was excellent about accommodating my food allergies without singling me out or making me feel like I was a bother. That’s huge; I’ve had other B&Bs tell us they couldn’t accommodate us at all for meals (which is disappointing but at least they’re being honest). So not only did she accommodate my allergies, but the food was great! Her peach cobbler is an old family recipe and it is to die for.
We stayed in the Monet room. The room is wonderful and well-​appointed. We like B&Bs that have an old-​fashioned charm without being overdone, and this room definitely qualifies. The jacuzzi provided a great way to relax.
There is a large greatroom in which you could play board games, read, sit and talk, etc. There is a coffee station upstairs with coffee and tea as well as a communal fridge. There is a cabinet with extra towels up there too. Very thoughtful. You really feel at home here.
We had a great time and would definitely recommend Hamilton House to anyone looking for a romantic getaway or a comfortable, yet unique place to stay.

Wonderful B&B. Nice rooms, good breakfast, coffee and tea available at all times. Stayed in the Manet room which was comfortable. Hostess gives you a key to the room/​house and just asks that you let them know if you will be coming to breakfast.

Very beautiful b&b… The rooms are neat and cozy, could use some finishing touches to make it stand out more. The room we stayed in was very big… And the bed is like heaven! The double whirlpool was wonderful. The food is delicious, however they could serve bigger portions. Kathleen is sweet and easy to talk to. We did have an issue with our water in our room being brown for a few hours, but it was taken care of relatively quickly. The background to the house is very interesting!

Great place to stay. The hosts are wonderful and full of knowledge. Our room was so comfortable and perfect for our needs. It was very warm when we visited, but our room was very well air conditioned, as was the whole house. The house was full, but was also quiet. Did not hear much from the other guests. The hosts told great stories about the house and area during breakfast. All in all, we look forward to going back.

My daughter and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Hamilton House before her Freshman move-​in day and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were both pretty nervous about her moving into the dorms the following day but as soon as we walked into the BnB, we immediately felt calm and at home. Actually, the Hamilton House was so much better than home! The décor, history of the house, attention to every little detail, pristine rooms and most of all the incredibly gracious and warm welcome by owner Kathleen was more than we could have ever asked for.
Whether you’re on a business trip or just want to get away and have a wonderfully relaxing weekend, The Hamilton House is your answer.

We went for a romantic getaway and stayed in the Degas room. It was perfect! The décor, attention to detail, space, fireplace, hot tub in bathroom, breakfast and snacks, bedding — all so perfect. It’s by far our favorite B&B and we look forward to going back.

This place was great. My fiancé and I went for a night and we stayed in the Monet room. The room was decorated with Monet art, there was a two person whirlpool, a big bed and nice big bathroom. We had an add-​on romance package with a bottle of champagne, cupcakes, a romance game and candles. We also had breakfast delivered in the room which was very good. Kathleen (the owner) was friendly and always around if we needed something. The only bad thing I have to say about this b&b is that we were expecting a working fireplace in the room and not a fireplace that did not work. We will definitely go back.

This is an awesome bed and breakfast. The rooms are incredible and the breakfast was delicious. The mansion has large parlours and very private, extra large rooms. It is tastefully decorated. The owners were very friendly.
