Perkins Events is located in Southern Humboldt, but offers wedding and event planning for clients located in all areas of Humboldt and Mendocino counties and beyond. D. Perkins Events has knowledge of many creative and professional florists, caterers, dj’s, bands, photographers, cake bakers, and hairstylists and make up artists. D. Perkins Events offers bar service with professional bar tenders. We also have rentals, such as plates, glasses, and an 8′ bar, and much more.

History

Established in 2010.

D. Perkins Events was established in January 2010. I have been throwing parties for friends for years, and in January of 2010, I helped throw a large baby shower for a close friend. After the day was done I realized how much I enjoyed the organizing, designing, and executing of events and decided that I should open an event planning business. I have since done many large milestone birthday parties, weddings for 300 plus guests, baby showers, and smaller and more intimate wedding receptions. I enjoy event planning very much!

My name is Datso Perkins, and I am the owner of D. Perkins Events. I was born and raised in Southern Humboldt and Northern Mendocino. I work out of my home so that I am able to be a stay at home mom to my two daughters.
