Haven’t stopped for ice cream yet this season but instead got a cake. It was very good and was ready on time as promised. Chocolate vanilla with crunchy middle, simple yet delicious and we had a nice birthday.

Amazing! So cheap and so tasty! Line is always long but moves very fast. Employees are always friendly and have never gotten my orders wrong even if I’m in a big group! Highly recommended

It’s mid-January…pitchers and catchers report to spring training in about 32 days… when is the PC re-opening?

Sooooo good. There’s a reason there’s traffic cones in front of this location. The line goes fast — cash only — great prices! Flavors always switch and the taste is spot on! I don’t know how they do it. I only wish they changed the opening and closing dates to April 1 — Nov 1.

Considering how long the(fast moving) lines are at Polar cub, there’s certainly more than the people that wrote reviews. Trying to keep it a great secret?! But yeah, if you aren’t from the area and happen to be here, this is a great place for all kinds of great ice cream, loads of great flavors and at great prices. A cute throwback that is getting harder and harder to find — chalkboard menu and picnic tables, or just sit in the back of your pickup like so many others!

This is like the local crack house! I don’t know what’s in the ice cream, but it sure feels nice. Vanilla and sprinkles please! :-)

Where else can you get a soft serve for less than a dollar? Sometimes you’re not too hungry, and just want a dollop of ice cream, and that’s where Polar Cub comes in clutch. With special flavors of soft serve ice cream offered in rotation, this is a can’t beat local favorite.

YUMMMM! So good that we went back-to-back days. I’ve only had the soft serve with various toppings and its dynamite. Their current soft serve special is a coffee and chocolate twist… mMmmmm still dreaming of it. The«small» size is plenty big! The large must feed a small family. Great prices too. We got 3 different cones/topping combos for $ 10. Planning to go here whenever I’m in the area.

Large portions of delicious ice cream for cheap. The only con of polar cub is trying to find a parking space and waiting in a very long line… because it’s that good. Soft serve chocolate with marshmallow topping is my personal go-to.

I’m just not a fan, I wish I was. I honestly don’t get the attraction to this place. Is the ice cream good? Sure, but it’s nothing special. Today my ice cream was completely dripping before I even had time to get to a picnic table. My mom ordered a caramel sundae and it was just ice cream slathered in caramel sauce(no whipped cream, cherry). Hers was complete soup from the get-go. The tables are always dirty. It’s a great location for a quick stop, so it has that going for them.

Best soft serve ice cream that I have every tasted. I haven’t found any ice cream place that beats Polar Cub. It is the best place to pull in and get some ice cream. You will not be disappointed. I love their peanut butter covered vanilla ice cream. BESTEVER!!! :-)

The absolute best ice cream in the area … Arguably the best icecream in the tristate. Their story is inspirational too — a small mom and pop opened just a few months of the year. I absolutely love this place and will recommend it to anyone. Parking can be an issue, but only because the place is so great that it attracts an insane amount of customers.

Their ice cream is amazing, service is fast and friendly, and the prices are fantastic. I highly recommend the pumpkin/vanilla swirl soft serve. It’s glorious.

Soft serve ice cream at its best! Such a classic place and so accessible right on Route 22 West. Kids love it, adults love it and the price is right. Enjoy!

The ultimate summer spot. Outdoor seating with a phone atmosphere. Amazing ice cream– soft and hard alike. Lots of options. Quick service(especially for the amount of people that are there at any given time). Worth a trip on the highway for this dessert. Barely any parking, though, and I’ve witnessed some minor accidents. So share cars and have the best driver drive.

I’m writing this review in the middle of February, after a snowstorm; because I’m craving Polar Cub right now. If they were open, I’d be there now instead of writing this review… but they’re not. So on with it. This place is always packed! The lines are long(but fast moving,) the parking lot is full(and causing traffic on Rt 22,) and it’s all worth it. First, consider this. When they were closed(due to a fire) we had a tough time finding the next closest soft serve ice cream shop. So if you live in the area and want soft serve, well this seems to be your only option.(If I’m wrong, please do let me know where else so I can give it a try.) As for the ice cream itself, it’s awesome. You don’t get an icy sort of creamy soft serve. You get a cone full(size down, they’re large) of very thick and creamy soft serve. You have a choice of vanilla, chocolate, or twist. If you’re lucky, you can get their special flavors — I’ve had strawberry, banana, and pumpkin. I personally like the honey roasted peanuts as a topping to a vanilla. mmm…

What’s that I see ahead in the distance? Was there a traffic accident? No, it’s just a massive line of people trying to park at, slowing down to get into, or leaving Polar Cub. This place is a madhouse all throughout the summertime right up until they close. Tasty ice cream with numerous topping options, and all at a reasonable price. «Yah!, I’m a fan» is a perfect way to describe it.

****THEBEST**** I worked at a Dairy Queen when I was in high school and it doesn’t even compare to this. I love«mom and pop» places and this is definitely one of those places you need to try. I hate that it closes in the winter time but since there is only outside seating, I guess I can understand. The ice cream is really good, I always just get a cone with sprinkles but it’s still just so much better then other ice cream places. It is so inexpensive that I love it even more. I love that they have«baby» cones because sometimes a small is just too much for me and I hate wasting the ice cream. There’s always a line in the summer time and there is a reason for it. I can’t wait until it opens back up in the spring because I would go every weekend I visited my boyfriend.
