We had a very nice meal here. Didn’t really care for the seating(at a high two top table just as you walk in the door) but the little bite of heaven at the end of our meal made it all worthwhile! The«Chocolate Fix» dessert bite — mini warm chocolate torte with chocolate ganache and whipped cream was D-licious! My husband also loved the«decadent» Apple bread pudding with a salted caramel whipped cream on top. I had the shaved Brussels sprout salad — excellent and my husband had the margarita pizza — very good.

The Red Room bar(located just down the stairs when you step into this restaurant) is a awesome little hang out that serves very innovative tapas you. Our Uncle and Aunt(Whitefish residents) took us here for the first time a few months ago and we loved it. This time we came in by ourselves and had a great night. Come here for good small plates, great drinks(The bartender knew what he was doing) and a fun atmosphere. There are little sofas and chairs all around the tables. We will defiantly be back!

This was such an unfortunate experience. We were given a decent table and our server seemed nice. She came by with our drinks then I asked her a question about the menu. She responded with«let me go ask the kitchen» then didn’t come back. What I mean by that is my boyfriend, after 30 minutes of waiting, went to ask her if she were coming back and she dented that we were her table. No apology nothing. Just an «I’m busy wth my own tables» we were her table… None the less we were wanting to stick it out for the food. The food looked AMZING. We watched a lot of it go by. Eventually our appetizers came out and the French onion soup was great. The pieces of bread that came with the tartar were nearly not chewable. I know they are suppose to be crispy but this was more of an incredibly stale thing going on. We then waited another 20 minutes after finishing our appys for our mains. I ordered the carbonara. The noodles were so undercooked I actually couldn’t eat it. I was so disappointed. The risotto that my bf ordered was great. They offered us free desert which we didn’t have the want for any more and took the carbonara off the bill but the disappointment in our dinner didn’t go away. I wish it were different because I tell ya. Everyone else’s dinner looked fantastic.

A new favorite. Love sitting at the chef’s counter and getting the recommendations of those who know. Small menu. Consistent production. Sat at the downstairs bar recently and enjoyed talking with the bartenders. Never rushed. Always satisfied. We will be back… again. And again. Did I mention the stracciatole? Yum. Every time.

Ok … Here’s the deal … The food is good but the portions and price are ridiculous !! We had the halibut the size of a cookie and it was 26 bucks ! The wine was the smallest pour I have ever seen for 14 dollars. The food is good quality but sooooo not worth the price. Total rip off

Chef Ferguson just delivered the best meal we’ve experienced in Whitefish. Lemon Drop Martini was almost perfect; a wine list that matches our tastes: then, an exceptional New York Strip Steak. The kale was a bit salty for our tastes, but we consumed every leaf. Service was impeccable. Too bad we have to head home tomorrow. Would love to sample more of the menu.

I think pound for pound I had the most diverse onslaught of deliciousness I’ve ever had at Latitude 48! If you’re a gastro-adventurer they big plates and little plates so you can experience the range. For starters we had the 63 degree egg salad which is a slow«cooked» egg on arugula with some edible flowers. It sounds funky, but it’s actually really tasty. We shared one and I almost ordered my own. Try it, it’s only $ 6. We also did some calamari rings which was good, but not a stand out like the rest of the meal. I know it’s landlocked Montana, but the mussels as well as the seafood medley pasta(forgot the official name) were as fresh and tasty as I’d get on San Clemente Pier. The broth from the mussels was so flavorful we had to ask for extra bread. The butterflied shrimp, baby scallops, and chunks of fish were so darn pasty we could’ve doubled up on that. We also got the bacon wrapped shrimp on a skewer with the chimichuri sauce– So good! We shared a large plate of the duck with couscous. I asked for the duck medium rare and they cooked it perfectly. Our meal ended with the crushing blow of bread pudding. Whoa! Leave your diet at home and let the love in. It’s incredible. Around town is mostly bar food and in the peak of summer every place seems to have a 30 minute wait. I would put your reservations in ahead of time and treat yourself if you want to take your pallette on an adventurous joyride.

The reservation process should be improved! We called at 8 a.m. For a reservation 8 — 8:30. We called back at 6 and our reservation was given away! What!? We called earlier than anyone else! Amateur Hour!

Nice adult atmosphere. Good service, nice selections on the menu. NOT a culinary masterpiece… Average quality food, below average food presentation, and extremely small portion size. Good prices.

We had an amazing experience here. Our waiter was fantastic, the drinks were unique and delicious, ambiance was great, and the food was spectacular. We live in Seattle and go out to eat often, but we could not think of 5 restaurants we like better. One of our favorite meals ever… HIGHLY recommended!

The best French onion ever that I have had in the country in all my business travels. Tartare was OK but prefer capers over chives. Filet was seasoned with a bit too much salt but overall if I am in the area this place would be worth another go!

This is my new top three pick in the Flathead Valley to wine and dine. It bumps Hops out of its No. 3 spot(Sorry Hops). No. 1 is Showthyme, No. 2 Tupelo, and No. 3 is Latitude 48. Tantalizing your palate with every bite, dishes here are perfection in balance, nuance, and creativity. It may eventually reach No. 1 but I haven’t been here enough to see if it is consistent with its service and plate offerings. Our waitress was amazing. Professional but humble, she knew her stuff. I asked for a spicy cocktail which is not a usual preference for the Montana palate. She suggested a Cucumber Gin concoction, muddled with Jalapeño. It was excellent. She was on top of our needs but not stifling. We started with Mussels(a special that night) bathed in ginger, leek, grilled bread, pancetta, and anglio rosso. Followed by another special of Cream of Confit Shallot. Both had divine layers of flavor. Then, a Flatbread Pizza called Pollastro with calabrian chili marinated chicken, roasted garlic, kale, and goat cheese. It was beautiful and crispy with housemade moz. Then Pork Belly Carbonara with bucatini, english peas, farm fresh yolk, and fresh parm. The Carbonara was not my favorite but worth trying still. Desert was Vanilla Bean Crème Brule and a Chocolate Torte, a bite size of heavan. I will come back next week if I have time.

We stopped into the Red Room to find a comfortable lounge area and small bar(room for about 7 or so). The lights are dim but ample, all with a red tinge so the atmosphere was relaxed with ambient overtones without the electronica music. Seating is snug so be prepared to rub elbows with other guests. Friendly bar staff will take your drink and meal orders and run them out to you, so just find a seat when you head in. This is an environment that caters to a specific cliental and may put off others. In our view, the social butterflies of the world would likely flourish here. Groups of four to six would be able to stake claim to a space and settle into what could become a very comfortable evening. Singles and groups of two may find the setup to be awkward, but there may be a spot at the bar so it is worth a peak. Big and tall types or those with thick layers coming in from the Mountain may also find this dining area a little too small. The space could be better utilized with different seating. The space was clean other then the carpet which was worn, similar to an old heavily traversed casino floor. But I could not stop wondering what else might be hard to see. Anyone have a black light? Seemed like a good place for the right types and circumstances. Personally I did not care for it. But then again I am not the sort most people care to rub elbows with.

Overall very good experience! Very nice waitress. For an appetizer we had the calamari, which was quite tasty. We also had the pretzel bread which was just okay. For my entrée, I got the French onion soup, which was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. I also got the bone marrow, which I have not had before, but was interesting in a good way. It was like having fatty butter that you scrape out of this bone cavity and put onto bread. My husband got the Bolognese and it was good but I would recommend that you try something else. He also got the side dish of broccoli which was pretty good, which says a lot given that my husband hates most vegetables. It was a little spicy and he enjoyed that. For dessert, we got several selections. The chocolate fix seemed like a joke, it was so tiny. It was the size of a brownie bite! I don’t really care how good that bite is because to me that’s not an adequate size of a dessert. considering the whole dessert, my husband thought the taste was tasty and also with a small bite of strawberry on the side and a little half scoop of ice cream was adequate. I disagree. it was all puny. So I wouldn’t get that one again. The bread pudding was quite tasty and I would recommend that. I thought the crème brûlée was super.

We went to latitude 48 on a Thursday night looking for some grub. The dining area had closed and we were directed to the red room. The red room which is a lounge is decorated in red and after having driven the whole day something that was not soothing. There was live music though and the place was abuzz. We had the pizza with jalapenos on it and it was decent. Overall definitely an ok place.
