Specialties

Just across the bridge from Hood River. Columbia River Gorge RV park & campground with 35 full hookup RV sites (including cable TV) and a tent area for 15 tent camping groups. WiFi is free and available throughout the entire park. Our restrooms and showers are super clean and rated 10 by Good Sam. Laundry facilities are located on the property as well. All roads and sites are paved with a nice mix of pull-​thru and back-​in sites. Open year round. Late arrival check-​in available. Reservation recommended. We sell propane.

History

Established in 1998.

Across the bridge from Hood River, Oregon on the Washington side of the Scenic Columbia River Gorge. The park gained a stellar reputation for its manicured landscaping and clean restrooms/​showers rated 10 each year by Good Sam. The original owner sold the park in 2013 and the park is now owned and operated by a family from the Chicago area who intend to keep the park up to the original owner’s standards.

30 years owning and managing a direct mail production company in the Chicago area. I started RV’ing in 1997 and talked with campground owners of every flavor and style during my travels. I decided to spend the back half of my life doing something I love and helping people enjoy their travels like the folks who helped me enjoy mine. With my son and wife we have plenty to do making things happen for everyone’s enjoyment.

First of all, the goods:
1. They keep their restrooms spacious and spotless. Best I’ve ever seen.
2. Hosts were accommodating. We brought a portable fire pit and cooked Dutch Oven dinners over the stoney part of the site – with permission.
3. Family of bald eagles other side of the highway.
Now, the not-​so-​goods.
1. Pull-​through site #11. Avoid at all costs. We made reservations well in advance and they still put us smack dab next to door side of the bathrooms. Anything we did was easily observed by everyone coming and going to the john. And the heavy doors slammed closed all night long. A simple privacy wall or screen is needed.
2. The trains virtually roar through the south side. I got lulled by it, but the constant noise kept wife awake.
3. The site design was so poor I had to back into #11 any time I took the truck out for a spin. No big deal? Probably 100 feet of backing through other vehicles in the dead of the night. A miracle I didn’t clip someone.
Summary
Nice try, but we will not be back.

Well, what can I say I loved this park. The spaces are a little close but the parks is beautiful and well maintained. The bathrooms are sparkling and the staff is very nice and accomodating. Yes I would stay here again the price is a little high but for one night we were ok with it. Would recommend.

This is a very nice, clean and well maintained RV park. The owners are very accommodating and helpful. The sites are easy to get into and have full hook ups. Each site has a grassy area and picnic table. As with most RV parks, the sites are close together. There is a very large, grassy dog run, but beware, it is not fully enclosed. If your dog is a runner, it could be a problem. The bad news part is not due to the RV park, but just the area it is located in. It is located on a VERY BUSY highway with constant traffic and semi truck noise (i.e. jake brakes). Note: bring your ear plugs and you’ll be fine! The bridge from Oregon to Washington over the Hood River is VERY NARROW! Make sure you pull in your mirrors (no kidding). The park is a good place to stop for the night, but I wouldn’t stay any longer than that.

I’m giving this 5 stars even though the trains are quite noisy in the evening. The first one sounded like it was coming through our RV. After that I fell asleep and slept great. Very quiet otherwise. Well maintained, excellent pet area (!), pretty location by the river. Bathrooms and shower immaculate. Overall this park is clean! We are here in off season so not crowded. The bridge coming across the river is narrow! The host warned us and thankfully the toll collector recommended we pull in our rear view mirrors. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the second RV park we’ve stayed in and it kicks the first one’s butt. It’s more rv park than camp ground so note there’s no fire pits, the sites are close, etc. But the spots are relatively flat, wifi is netflix-​able at night, laundry and bathrooms are mega clean and nice.
Yes, the train does roll by often and can be a bit loud but both me and my gf slept through the night no issue.
If you stay here to go to hood river, know that there’s no pedestrian or bike access across the hood river bridge so you’ll have to drive.

This is an average park, way overpriced for what you get. We have a small trailer — 15 foot, got the discount and paid $ 42 for the night. This seemed steep, but we saw the reviews were good so we gave it a try. We couldn’t believe that after paying the premium price, that you are charged for showers. I am still trying to understand what we got for our money. The place is clean and maintained, but it is smack between the highway and the train track so it is active and pretty noisy. Seems there are lots of rules and they remind you with lots of signs. You know the old song, sign, sign, everywhere a sign? This is what kept going through my mind. I can’t recommend nor will we return.

RV park is small and nice … I was in a spot which was next to the highway and I felt like I’m sleeping ON the highway — trucks running by day and night. Out of the front window I stared at a service station and yes there are trains near by. The toll bridge (not the parks fault but something big rig people should be aware of) is a NARROW BRIDGE. Crossing was the most harrowing experience I’ve ever encountered in 20 years on the road — I met several trucks on my crossing where you had to creep by and once our mirrors touched! 5 star Woodall’s is way overrated… I couldn’t wait to leave…

After staying a couple nights and making it clear I would be their a week I got back late afternoon and they had given my spot away. The park was full so nothing was available. I will never go back. Bad management.

First of all this campground is very clean and well maintained. The owners are kind and considerate. However, this is not a camping type place. It’s a parking lot with small patches of grass. There is no option for a fire and spaces are right on top of each other– with our bump outs, I could reach out my window and almost place something on the picnic table in the space next to us.
The other thing is this place is literally right next to the active train track with loud trains running often. Also, be aware that if you are wanting to spend time in Hood River, there is a bridge but it’s tolled. $ 4 for our dualie and fifth wheel. $ 2 for just the dualie. This is no fault of the campground, of course, but something to be aware of.
So if you are looking for a camping experience with trees and fire pits and some privacy this is not your place.
If you are on a road trip and need a quick place to stay, then this would be fine.
Guess I’ll tell the kids no s’mores this time :(

Terrible customer service. We arrived at 7:30 to find the office closed. Nobody told us where our spot was, and after circling the park, it was apparent that all of them were taken –we were out of luck. The next morning, we received a call from the office saying that they would have to charge us for the night.

These folks are just out to make a quick buck.
My friend reserved a few camp sites for a river rafting trip we were going to take, but we ended up having to cancel. I called to cancel with Bridge RV two days before our reservation, and they said they would have to charge me for a full day for all the camp sites. That came to a total of $ 110!
I asked if they would not charge me if they were able to fill the space, and the lady said yes (and that she would call me if I did end up needing to pay). 5 minutes later she called back and left a message that my card was declined, and she would have to charge it to my friend’s card.
1. why did she charge my card right away after JUST having told me she would wait? — because the owner apparently told her to
2. Why didn’t she call me, then? Because the owner just wanted to make more money because he knew they’d be able to fill the spaces. The only reason I found out was because she ran the wrong number so she called me about that.
3. Why did she charge my friend’s card without even asking him? He wouldn’t have even known if I hadn’t called back and asked her to run my card again.
This place was very rude from the get go, and then to be treated like a money bags was just too much! I am planning to re-​schedule the river rafting, but you can bet I won’t be staying here!

This was the very first RV park I had ever camped in… so I am no expert. But of the 5 parks we stayed at during our vacation, this was one of my favorites.
It is settled on the Hood River — separated only by a train track (thus the 4, not 5 stars). It is beautifully landscaped, fully grown trees, is very picturesque, and extremely quiet. There is a cottage you can rent on the grounds. There is a 24 hour gas station next door. You learn these are very valuable especially if you don’t have a tow car!
The best spots are 15 to 22 — but they are not pull thru, just back up. There is a tent and pet walk area. We checked in late which was no problem.
Very nice campground — would definitely stay again!
