Hampton Inn White River Junction

We came in late at night with no reservation, as we were on a road trip. I can’t remember his name (it might have been Mike? I’m writing this two months late), but the man working that night was super friendly and suggested all sorts of interesting things to do in the area. They have a good selection of brochures here, if you’re looking for things to do. The room was very nice, and it was the perfect place to stop after a day of driving and exploring. Service at the counter in the morning was less friendly, but still attempted to be helpful when we asked of nearby places to find a rain jacket.

Nice Hampton with clean room but somewhat older building. Good fitness and business center. A good value.

Clean and quiet room. Friendly and helpful employees. Free Wi-​Fi and breakfast. However the breakfast is just ok. Fresh and free coffee in lobby ²⁴⁄₇. Acceptable price point for the area.

Friendly staff and nice enough accommodations. Little hard to find with multiple similar hotel on all sides with no clear signage. The in– door pool was ok but disappointed there was not an adjoining whirlpool/​hot tub

This inn is very conveniently located in White River Junction, right off the highway, making it a perfect overnight stop for Hanover or Vermont.
The staff was very friendly, and I got to a free drink and snack of my choice for free as I arrived. The wifi is also free, but a little slow. There are however no dinner options in walking distance from the hotel. Most restaurants can only be accessed by car, so my only dinner option was to order pizza.
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean. I slept really well on the very comfortable bed. There were outlets right on the bedside table, which was very convenient.
Breakfast was okay. They have a standard choice of bread, cereals and hot dishes. But you only have plastic dishes and paper cup, which I thought was a little strange. You are expected to just throw everything in the trashcan as you leave the lounge.
Overall, a nice inn!

Returned here this past week for a few days while working in the area. The staff, as always, was friendly and helpful, the location was super convenient for finding food and getting to work each day. My only complaint was that the outlets were all out of reach! I ended up rearranging the room and taking the desk lamp over to the bed side table and plugged that in behind the bed (which I had to move) so that I could work on the couch and the bed if I so chose.

I found the desk staff in White River Junction to be enormously friendly, welcoming, and helpful on my arrival. I waited for just a bit while the clerk assisted the couple before me, getting them directed to a local restaurant. It was about 8:30 at night, so they were pretty weary and hungry and the desk clerk’s kindness was well appreciated. She got me set up and on my way to my room with that same efficiency and kindness.
Oddly, the dresser drawers were all open when I arrived in the room. I have no idea whether that was supposed to invite me to use them, or if the housekeeping staff had neglected to close them after cleaning them.
They had the best in-​room amenity I’ve ever seen, though. A laptop tray, for setting my laptop computer on and protecting my legs from its heat, adorned one of the two double beds. That’s brilliant. In my travels with a laptop, I’ve only rarely used it at a hotel room desk, and nearly always while stretched out on the bed. Bravo.
The morning breakfast offered pre-​made omelets, home fries, and waffles in addition to the usual baked goods, cereals, and fruits. It was a good start to the day.
I’d stay here again.

I was so impressed with this hotel and staff that I actually filled out a comment card (which I never do). The clerk at the desk when I checked-​in was very friendly (I found out in the morning she was a recent hire). She made sure to tell me about local restaurants, even giving me a list. She also pointed out that she had just made fresh coffee including decaf (since I was checking in late) and there were cookies in the lobby. In fact I did come down late in the night to have some tea. The clerk on at that time was also very friendly. As was the maintenance man who greeted me in the morning and held the door for me while I loaded up my car. My room was spacious, spotless, the bed and pillows comfortable and air conditioning/​heat was wall controlled away from heater so had perfect temp all night. There was even a lap desk, the perfect touch, as I had to do some late reading. I only wish my stay were longer. My son attends Norwich University, so I will be staying at this hotel whenever I visit for the next 4 years. At $ 99 it was FABULOUS!!! Well worth the extra $ 30 over the cheaper motel right next door.

Nice and clean facility. Comfortable room. Desk staff recommended a place for dinner that my wife and I were less than impressed with, but different strokes for different folks. Right off of the freeway.

Proximity to Dartmouth counts for something right?
I’ve stayed at this location several times and I always seemed to arrive after 10pm.
And they have always had cookies. Fresh cookies. Cookies good after long drive.
It’s always been a clean and comfy stay.
After 10, that’s all I’m hoping for. And cookies.

I’ve become a fan of Hamptons. Every time I’ve had a chance to stay at one it’s been a pleasant experience.
White River is no different. We got in late… after midnight… but the person greeting us was alert and friendly.
The room was nice as expected. Clean, good temperature, no smell (as I’ve experienced as some other Hamptons), and the bathroom looked like it had been renovated recently.
I didn’t get to try the breakfast but those don’t usually blow me away… I choose Hampton because I know I’ll have a clean and comfortable stay.
