I went there with my date and it was awesome place and food especially excellent service by Rames I’m excited to visit this place again

This place used to be a regular for any big event party that my family threw and since birthdays stopped being celebrated I hadn’t gone back in close to 10 years. Went back recently for a lunch buffet and boy oh boy was I pleasantly surprised. I am usually very apprehensive about Indian food buffets because they are incredibly underwhelming but not this one. Every single buffet dish was extremely flavorful and I kind of wished I didn’t get full so quick so I could have eaten more. They made this fish soup which was to die for. I would definitely come back for the buffet.

Extraordinary buffet. I am not sure why there are reviews saying it was lackluster. I guess it depends on your mood when you go.
We loved it. Many vegetarian and meat dishes. A full Indian omelette station with chef. More deserts and side dishes than we could get through.
Among the twenty tables eating more than half have people of Indian heritage so you know it’s the place to go.
Can’t wait to visit again.

We went for a weekend lunch buffet. Best buffet selection we have seen in a while especially the many vegetarian dishes. Dosa and butter chicken were good but under spiced for the Indian palate. Goat curry and tandoori chicken were excellent and naan was very fresh. Really pretty good food at a decent price.

Best indian buffet I have ever had. The paneer and the tandoori chicken the best ever, and the tofu masala a great idea. I had about 10 different items, and each was fabulous. The chef is great. I will not even try another indian buffet. The staff is very personable & professional. BTW, I have been to several parts of India, and the food here holds up quite well to the best in India.

Tried several dishes, but the Butter Chicken was my favorite. A must try.

My husband and I frequent Indian restaurants. This is one of our top places. They have the best lunch buffet, hands down. The staff is great. We love it.

Where have I been?
In my 43 years, I NEVER had Indian food. I had tons of time to myself and wanted to venture to an unknown territory. (Sorry for lack of a better word) Or shall I say… Cuisine. I’m sorry if I’ve been stuck in a bubble and please pardon my cluelessness, but I never thought of eating Indian food.
So here I go… Royal Palace is huge… Just like it’s called. Off to the right, there’s an event hall, complete with dining tables and chairs. Off to the left of the restaurant, is the main dining area. The aroma swirling in the air, is like no other.
Forgive me, again but I had to ask tons of questions especially if any of their dishes were cooked with either mustard, seeds or powder (I detest it).The answer was– no, no and no. I’m happy. I’m in.
Lunch Buffet is offered everyday, and I happened to be in the right place and at the right time. The maître d’, broke it down for me. Tray. By. Tray. There were so many dishes and everything looked tasty. So here’s the rundown:
I started off with a green salad, and a Masala Dosa served with a freaking spicy Sambal sauce and Coconut chutney dip. (At one point, the spicyness got to my every cell in my body, I began to have the sniffles and my eyes were tearing– no joke).The Masala Dosa is a thin rice crêpe filled lentils and potatoes. Already, I’m full. And I went for more, I had a Veggie Samosa, Tandoori Chicken, Veggie Rice, Garlic Naan, Bhindi Masala– which was a nice okra dish with other veggies and seasonings (I think) and tofu with a yogurt sauce.
And to put the cherry on top, I had a Mango Lassi. This was my moment to savor all that mango goodness, that I’ve been reading about. Damnnnnnnnnnnn, it was awesome.
I had so much to eat for lunch and so much left over, I actually made a doggie bag. Food was really good, and tasty, but I have to admit, some of what I ate was spicy.
To be quite honest, Dominicans are not known for preparing-​much less eating spicy foods. It’s just not part of our DNA, or lexicon.
All in all, service was amazing and the brief tutorial on Indian cuisine, was great.

Im in transition from carnivore to vegitarian. Royal Palace has made it so much easier !! Food sooo good that Ive opted to pick up rather than cook for the holidays.

The place definitely went downhill. We had the dinner buffet. Not only it was weak. Food was simply blah and tasteless. I am not sure if a la carte would have been a different experience.
Due to the dinner we skipped dessert and opted to get tea. Tea was out, as well as setup just seemed run down and sort of disgusting.
Well…won’t be back here for another couple years. Sad.

We came here for the dinner buffet on a Monday. We arrived around 5:50pm (Dinner starts at 5:30pm) and we were the only patrons the entire time we were there.
The wait staff was very nice and attentive (I would hope so since we were the only ones there, but from the other reviews it seems like they are on top of their game all the time). They refilled drinks in a timely manner and always checked in with us to see how we were doing.
The food was good as well. We frequent buffets as we like to try different things at once, and this place did not disappoint. There were 4 – 5 meat options, with 8 veggie including rice at the entrée section, as well as an appetizer station, salad station and dessert, coffee & tea station. There was no chicken tikka masala, which is the husband’s go to, but we both enjoyed the butter chicken and the chicken tandoori. The food had a good amount of kick, but not overbearing. We also enjoyed the garlic naan — we’ve never been offered options before, just regular naan, which was a nice surprise.
The dinner buffet is around $ 22 per person — we haven’t been to lunch yet so I’m not sure of what the difference between the two is. I thought it was a good selection for the price, I just wish that I had eaten more!

So to start the food was amazing, hot and flavorful. The beer was served in a frosty glass. The wait staff was attentive, and wonderful. I also have to give a shot out to our waitress Arya, she was on point and went above and beyond. I’ve gone to many Indian food establishment and have left disappointed. The Royal Palace has restored my faith. Lastly the prices are excellent.

Never ever order catering services from here. ordered a large dessert tray after having it a few times really liked it so I decided to order for a party. A friend of mine went all the way from Stamford to collect the order because they were asking for a whopping 100 $ to deliver one tray… I don’t know may be they had to rent a truck or something for one tray. Anyways even after explaining 3 so called catering managers what I wanted I got the opposite… was soooo disappointed it was worse than what you buy from a grocery store and paid more than 100 $for that felt so cheated and when I called to complain they were like the Indian government blaming each other… was a regular there but would never go back now.

We just ordered masala dosa. It doesn’t taste anything like masala dosa or chutney or sambhar. What a disaster!
Never order Dosa from here.

I was a bit worried going to RP after reading some of the not so favorable reviews. I love Indian food, particularly vegetarian dishes. I highly recommend RP.
The restaurant is at the end of a strip mall and next to a Dunkin Donuts/​Baskin Robbins. It is a large restaurant with a banquet room for parties. I was impressed by the well lite open feel of the restaurant and the beautifully decorated tables with Red cloth napkins & a bottle pf Perrier with water goblets on all the tables. Everything looked immaculate.
To dine here is to experience a little bit of India. I understand why an Indian friend of mine highly recommended RP. It would be a great banquet venue and wonderful for any celebration.
The lunch buffet is $ 12.95 and offers a lot of dishes to try. I tend to prefer the vegetable dishes but gave the chicken a try. I found the chicken a bit dry so did not eat any other meat dishes. Even still I rate their food VERY good!!! They had two different rice dishes, Basmati. & a yellow curry rice. I loved the Samosas, the Spinach Paneer, a Chickpea dish & fresh slices of Cukecumber from the salad area.
There are five buffet sections (one had coffee/​tea and desserts: cubes of melon fruit, Jello, and sweet syrupy balls of dough. The fruit was fresh and a nice end to a spicy meal. My friends tried the other dessert balls and said it was very sweet.
As someone who is picky and not well versed in Indian recipes I would’ve liked to see on the signs of the name of the dishes include the ingredients.
I was a little surprised by the inconsistent look of the dinner plates offered on the buffet. I would expect they would offer better looking basic White plates.
The bathroom is downstairs (I did not see an elevator). It was spotless clean and, well supplied and beautifully decorated.
Indian music played. The ambient temperature was pleasant.
The have a small but fully stocked bar and offer deals on drinks, happy hour.
The Manager was professional when I told him my friends are coming to celebrate my friends birthday he asked if we wanted a bottle of Champagne brought to the table. not this time but that was cool. He continued to offer that extra something throughout our 2.5 hour lunch .yes!
After a few hours he came forth with a few employees with a HUGE flaming sparkler (I’ve never seen anything that big!!) on a sherbet bombe they created. A very, very nice way to celebrate!!!
Another plus is ample free parking.

Attentive service. Broad spectrum of sauces and tasty treats to sample. My kids had a good time too. My wife who is nearly Indian at this point was in Bolly heaven.
Will be back.

Food was OK. Basic Indian food type. Naan was decent. Few things lacked seasoning I have gotten from a few other places. Service was horrible. Difficult to get water refilled. Waved host down to get bill walked by us to fix a table and greet table full of India people. Took so long to get bill.
Ok buddy don’t worry. Every minute that goes by and I don’t get my bill $ 1 is deducted from your tip so left $ 1 on $ 50 bill. Enjoy.

We recently moved to Westchester County from the city and were looking for a restaurant that had as good Indian buffets as they do in the city. Well we didn’t have to search beyond Royal Palace! They are as good or even better! They have so many dishes to select from in their buffet, beginning from appetizers to main entrees to deserts. They are all as good as they get. The service is always phenomenal and courteous.
We love their food so much that we recently had Royal Palace cater our sons birthday party. Everyone loved the food and asked where we got the food catered from. They delivered the food and set it up at the reception hall. From placing the order to delivering the food, they were very attentive to details and professional.
Needless to say, we will be eating at Royal Palace for years to come!

Royal Palace, along with Calcutta Wrap and Roll, is among the top Indian restaurants in the Westchester/​Greenwich/​Stamford/​New Haven areas. I have visited on a couple of occasions and the food has been consistently good both times. The chicken in the biryani was so tender and juicy — almost melting in the mouth. Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma were both excellent.
Lunch Buffet is a steal with many flavorful and delicious vegetarian and non-​vegetarian entrees and appetizers.
The service is excellent, and the staff is most courteous, professional and engaging.
The ambience is a bit under-​whelming — a bit non-​descript and could do with a bit of a makeover. Also, I feel like I need to try a few more dishes before making a final assessment about the restaurant. It helps that this restaurant is entirely worth repeat visits. Much recommended. Rating 3.75

I’ve been working in this area for years, but only recently discovered this place as we came here for lunch on a weekday upon a coworker’s suggestion. I have to admit… I was very-​pleasantly-​surprised.
One of the main reasons I didn’t know about it is because I DO NOT seek out Indian/​Pakistan food places to eat at. While deciding what cuisine to eat, I will NEVER pick this. It’s food I grew up with, so it holds no fascination for me, not to mention nothing can EVER compare to mom’s home cooked meal! ;)
Also, because I will not pay above a certain amount for this cuisine (I can cook this stuff at home-​though choose not to as I have no desire to have my apartment smelling of curry!). I will typically eat this food 1 – 4 times a year at the most and usually when it is home-​cooked by friends who are great cooks. And… while my palette still enjoys my native food, my digestive system… not so much! (Pass me the bottle of TUMS please!)
So we had the buffet lunch (about $ 20/​pp). The food was good, well cooked & not too oily. Could have been hotter though, so they need to figure out a system to keep their buffet platters at a higher temperature. I came back within 2.5 weeks… that says a lot! Not extraordinary… but good.
