Driver was smoking in his car when I picked up the food. Also he gave me the wrong change back

First time visiting the restaurant, and it was a pleasant surprise. I was greeted nicely, place was spotless. The bartender/waitress gave me the wine list and menu. I found the lunch specials for $ 9.50. Soup, salad, and lunch. Excellent choice of wines, and food. I would recommend this to anyone. I am not a sushi eater but they had plenty of fresh supplies there as well.

This place has a nice trendy ambience and feel to it serving fresh sushi and delicious entrees. I took my brother and his wife here for dinner and they loved it. They’re special rolls are delicious and are very filling. They have my all time favorite steak teriyaki dinner bento box which is the only thing you need to order. It comes with your choice of wonton or miso soup AND a house salad. That’s right, you get both. And the teriyaki steak which is really tender comes with big pieces of shrimp and vegetable tempura, shumai and fresh sushi. Most places give you California rolls(which is usually made with imitation crab meat) but for real sushi lovers, it’s a treat when you get fresh quality sushi with a bento box.

I wish I could write a review without giving any stars. My friend had her mind set on this place for a month, and we decided to wait until the evening of her birthday to make a trip to their bar. She turned 25(today) and I set up a surprise gathering with friends(nine of us) at another restaurant nearby.(All of us are 21 and older). We entered Red Plum and immediately were treated like kids, and given weird looks from the wait-staff like we shouldn’t have been there. The bartender asked to see all IDs of anyone ordering beverages. When my friend(the birthday-girl) gave her ID, the bartender didn’t trust the Turkish ID and started making a scene over it. So here we are, being treated rudely, and then this. My friend has been a student in the U.S. for 4 years now, and as a student doesn’t need to carry her Passport. Also, she has used her ID in many places and never had this issue. She also showed her university ID(which she needs to carry with her as an international student) to prove that she has a valid ID. The bartender said you need to carry your passport OR an ID with your name, picture, and a date of birth. UM, HELLO, IDIOTS, the ID she gave had all three of those things. So I took the idea from my friend, and as I started pointing it out the second bartender started yelling at me that she understood, so I gave it to her. I started barking at the bartender because she was acting very inappropriately. Then she said to us all, after having served three drinks to the group and checking IDs, you will all get arrested if any of you are under 18, blah blah blah. And she said to us you can’t be rude to the bartender or you won’t get served(after already having served drinks to us). So my friend said, «I wasn’t being rude,» and the bartender said, «You weren’t, but HE was.» I said«Yes, I was.» How the HELL are you going to tell a paying customer they’re being rude after treating the whole group like shit immediately after entering your restaurant. I bought my friend’s drink for her birthday, but I wasn’t about to give them anymore money. The rest of the time spent there was filled with employees starring at our group and whispering things while glaring. No thank you to that! We were very excited to go to this restaurant, and now we will never go back. I do have to say, the restaurant is beautiful and we loved the design and layout. It’s very intriguing, but really sucky once you enter and meet the workers.

First time here– on a Monday– and although it was practically empty– the experience was excellent. We tried their mango chicken salad, a couple sushi options, and their Indian pancake with potato curry. Everything was well seasoned and on point. Will come back.

I told this story to my co workers and apparently they all have stopped ordering from here after a FLY was in their soup & how rude the front lady was to them… Stopped here for the first time today. I kinda wish I stuck to my regular spot down the street at haiku. I patiently waited 30 mins for 2 Cali rolls… That when I went to ask about it the lady hands it to me. So it was just sitting there and I was RIGHTTHERETOO. So idk how long it took but the girl was too busy talking. The sushi was okay, nothing special either.

By far the best Asian food in White Plains. Like if I didn’t live in White Plains I would drive to it. The sushi has always been consistent actually all of the food has been consistent and very good. Honey sandwich is my favorite!

Red Plum in White Plains is pretty delicious. Nice décor, and their pan asian menu is pretty decent. The one great thing about this place is that they have an AWESOME lunch special. $ 9 bucks for rice/noodle dishes e.g. Pad Thai and around $ 9.50 for things like General Tso’s chicken or Red Curry with Chicken. Lunch specials include soup and salad, and the portions are HUGE. The one thing that boils my mother’s blood is that they don’t reciprocate gift cards between their Mamaroneck and White Plains location. So NB, if you have a gift card for the Red Plum in Mamaroneck, you can’t use it at the Red Plum in White Plains and vice versa. At least that was our experience about a year ago.

Love their hibachi but the sushi wasn’t all the good. Not a lot of variety in the sushi compared to other places. Went here Monday and was disappointed in the specialty rolls, will stick to getting sushi from Wild Fusion.

Great food. Loved the hibachi and red curry. Not a big fan of the fried rices though. And the customer service is not the best, but the quality of food is better than the other Asian fusion restaurants in Westchester, in my opinion.

I absolutely love this location as opposed to the mamaroneck location. The staff is very welcoming, the place is very clean and the tuna/shrimp is very fresh. I have been here several times with family and even ordered delivery from work, never disappointed with the service. The only thing that I can’t stand is the parking, there’s metered parking out front but never any spaces available, I have to park 2 blocks down where the municipal parking lot is. Other than that I plan to continue dining in, the wall art, red stairs and open space is just magnificent. Today the manager was very friendly and greeted us before and after our meal. She was cleaning and wiping down the plants with a rag behind the bar. How many managers do you see cleaning their place of business along with their staff??? Not many!!!

Ordered delivery to my hotel room. Driver threw the receipt in my face & wouldn’t move so I could slam the door. Not sure if this is a rape thing, hate of black women thing or hate of women. But please be safe if you plan on ordering delivery.

Stopped in for lunch, service was decent. I ordered the lover roll. It would have been delicious but the flavor of the crab was extremely salty and very fishy. I would come back and try something off the entrée meal or a different sushi roll that does not include crab because it is not good. The bartender also never asked me how my food was or I would have let her know.

4 Stars from me. The food is always fresh, presentation is top notch, and the staff is professional & friendly! They definitely value service and apparently experience: the décor feels modern with traditional touches that feel fresh and clean, and the music is just right. You definitely want to eat here, you won’t be disappointed in food, drinks, or experience. Good whether it be date night or a night out with a large group.

How long has this place been open? Long enough for them to apparently not give the impression that the customer is of any importance. Every staff member is sight seemed aloof and unfriendly. Really not aware at all of customer presence, and our server had the personality of a monk. Wont be returning. Especially when there are plenty of other sushi options with fresher fish. I should mention that we were there for lunch.

Absolutely Amazing Food Experience !!! This place is one of a kind. It is the perfect Asian fusion style restaurant. The styling and décor of the restaurant is beautiful. The staff was so friendly. Perfect for a dinner date! Went here with my niece and sister because I wanted Hibachi. The meal was so delicious. And fresh! My niece ordered sushi and chicken and broccoli while my sister ordered teriyaki chicken. I tasted their meals they were yummy as well. For the price you cannot beat the amount of food you get. Don’t let the pictures fool you I was stuffed and I left with food. My niece ordered a Mango Mai Tai it tasted pretty authentic she said. Reminded her of Mai tai’s she had on the islands. Also the customer service was superb. I was so pleased with our server(s). We had both a male and female assisting us so I was not sure who was the actual server. In addition the manager on duty or owner not sure which authority role she was in, but yes she came to our table asked if we had been there before asked about our food if we enjoyed the atmosphere if we needed anything. I mean she even told us she can’t wait to see us when we come back as we exited. Like the food itself would have been enough but the customer service was on point. I would definitely recommend this place to a hungry friend who is indecisive and wants to get the most out of his/her buck or anyone else who enjoys a great dining experience. Go hereeeee!!! ;)

Surprisingly foods and service is good at Red Plum. Being Asian, I am a bit skeptical about Red Plum; especially after a very dissapointing recent visit to Wild Fusion, another recently open Asian restaura t in downtown White Plains. My General Tso chiken is a bit sweet rather than the noted spicy. Ambiance and service are good. Food presentation is nice with different color of veggies making it look appetizing. One major dissapointment is that they do not have spicy oil which would have been better with the general tso and is normally available at a Chinese restaurant.

Another new Asian place. Roughly the same as every other one within five feet of here. I had the Thai Basil beef which was tasty, but my ceviche appetizer was meh. My wife enjoyed her special roll, but the fried rice was plain. We loved the Vietnamese salad. Service was fine. A bit better than some but middle of the road in general.

Went for lunch here much better than the Mamaroneck Red Plum! I ordered the makilunch while my friend got the sashimi lunch Sushi was great, tuna roll and salmon roll were filled and did not seemed packed with rice. Flavor was great and ginger tasted good, wasabi didn’t seem watered down and was above average in spiciness. Sashimi was served very nicely over ice, slices of fish were generous and tasted divine. She did have to ask for her bowl of rice. Prices are a bit higher than mamaroneck but the quality of the food seems better. Restaurant itself: Full bar and 2 TVs in addition to tons of space, we did not feel rushed on the courses and waiter was attentive without being hovering.
