Pop-A-Lock of Westchester

Made an appointment with Rich, but he never showed up. I when I messaged to ask him if he was coming, he claimed to have left a message and assumed that I wanted to reschedule. That excuse might have worked in the days before smartphones, but no message and no missed call on the call lock. Don’t waste your time.

An incompetent unprofessional service. Called them at 10:30pm on a Saturday after I locked myself out, no problem they said we’ll be there in 45 minutes. 45 minutes pass by, kids are getting antsy so I recall them thinking they must be lost. They kept me on hold for 7 minutes with their infuriating jingle repeating how good they were only to then tell me «my bad, we don’t service your area». I asked them, why they didn’t call me back 45 minutes ago to tell me «my bad?» Was the call operator on drugs? Clearly he wasn’t doing his job. I’d suggest you avoid this clown show.

Pop-​A-​Lock is honest and fair with great responsiveness. When I asked about replacing an expensive key, they told me to try a fix first. That fix worked and saved me a bundle. I have friends they have serviced, all happy. Whether for a business, home or auto, you can’t go wrong.

I called for a new car key, mine broke. I made an appointment with Richie for the next day. When I was at work, my boyfriend went ahead and got a key made for me as a surprise and since my car was stuck in his driveway. When I canceled my appointment with Richie, he was LIVID. He actually yelled at me, called me rude, and other names I shall not mention. I apologized, and he said «You better be sorry. I mean I am trying to run a business here. Do me a favor, never ever call us again.» I have never been yelled at or spoken to in that way by someone I did not know, espeically someone offering a service. I am still in shock. I hope Richie learns how to control his temper or he will run this business into the ground :(If you need to use these guys, do yourself a favor, make sure you request to NOT have Richie.

Had a tremendous experience with Pop-​A-​Lock locksmiths and would highly recommend them. Obviously no one wants to deal with a lockout, but when it happens you need someone who can help you quickly and professionally. Pop-​A-​Lock delivers on both fronts.
I had a weekend lockout in a somewhat «remote“part of Westchester and thought it would take forever to get help. Googled for a locksmith and found Pop-​A-​Lock. From the moment I called, they were there to help. The person I spoke with on the phone was polite and diligent, took my exact location and promised to get someone out to me within half an hour. Sure, I thought. I’ve never had a lockout response take less than an hour on a weekend.
Sure enough, the Pop-​A-​Lock guy was there in 20 minutes! Naturally the locksmith was able to unlock my car, but he also put me at ease since he showed up in a labeled/​marked Pop-​A-​Lock official vehicle and had a company uniform on. He was courteous and a pleasure to work with for the few minutes it took get the car open. It’s nothing like my past experiences where someone who can barely communicate with you shows up in ratty clothes and a creepy van and you wonder who it is you are dealing with in the middle of the night.
All in all, I highly recommend Pop-​A-​Lock in the Westchester area. They are fast, professional and their rates were fair.

After using Richard for a lock change, I was able to refer him to a client. The client was happy. I am happy. He didn’t try to sell us things we didn’t need or fix that which wasn’t broken. Honest. Punctual. Fast call backs. Went out of his way to research a difficult question. I will refer to friends and family. Six stars out of five.

Called for a lock out and they said someone would call back shortly after picking up the job. Half hour later we call again and they said they would call the locksmith directly. Here I am another half hour later with no call back. They make it seem like they’re fast and efficient but really just no shows.

In the past, calling a random locksmith felt like a gamble on who would show up to my home and would i trust them…
Not with Pop-​A-​Lock! The guy showed up in a branded vehicle, in a clean uniform and couldn’t have been nicer. He was prompt, worked quickly and the prices were fair and set. (No haggling in the end) He even swept up after he was done!
I’m no Fan-​Boy, but I got a bunch of cards from him and have actually been teling my friends to keep their number handy for emergencies. Such a relief to have a locksmith on 24hr call who I would trust with my home security.
