Neiman Marcus – White Plains

There is nothing extraordinary about this Neiman Marcus and the only time I’ve ever gone was to return items purchased online. I would like to note that Marissa in customer service was incredibly helpful this morning. Yesterday I had called with an inquiry about returning a gift and was rudely rushed off the phone by an associate in the Handbag department. I called again this morning and Marissa took the time to not only hear me out, but was able to look up the order number and give me a few options on how to proceed with my return. Excellent, friendly customer service :)

Lucky to have Neiman Marcus in Westchester. They should be carrying more shoe brands in the store. Bottega Veneta would be one. The home and gift shop will be missed!

This place is the worst! I went in there during a weekday to buy a perfume. Not only did no one want to help me after I asked where. The counter was a woman reluctantly walked over with an attitude as if I was disturbing her with my purchase! She told me they didn’t have it, doesn’t know when they will and to go to Nordstroms!!! Worst customer service!

With the very clear exception of Priscilla who went out of her way to help me, every single employee in the shoe department was texting/​facebooking EVEN WHEN APPROACHED BY CUSTOMERS. No I will not buy a pair of $ 1400 shoes from someone acting like talking to me is a favor. Get it together Neimans you should be mortified.

Very beautiful store. 4 floors if you include the lower men’s department. Sometimes this store is very quiet and empty and sometimes it’s very crowded. Overall most of the staff are kind but not that helpful. You have to approach a salesperson for help because they never come to you. They have Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, Chanel, Prada, and more boutiques on the first and third floor.

Less sale pressure! And better trained sales please! I recently visited their Sisley Paris at the cosmetic department. I was just going there with my mother to buy what I had determined, but the sales put a lot of pressure on me to buy more by promoting things such as gift card event, gift with purchase and etc. I don’t have problem with them promoting to me, but the way they do it was really uncomfortable and confusing! At first, they told me if I buy one thing, I could get the 2^nd product $ 50 off. She said: «if you just buy this, it $ 168, but if you also buy this you could get $ 50 off of the 2^nd product! It’s a very good deal!» I was very happy with the promotion and told her I’d like to get 2 products, so I can get the $ 50 off. When I was ready to pay, the other sales woman came and said: «oh, it not right. To get the $ 50 off you need to spend $ 200 or more!» And I said: «with the 2 products I’m buying it should be well above $ 200.» She said: «it’s after you buy your 1^st product.» After all this, I still decided to purchase the 2 products I originally wanted. The sales women then started to recommend other stuff to my mom. They almost forced my mother to try one of the products, and said if she buy this one we could get the other one for free. I was again very happy with her promotion, and thanked her for the great deal. When I was ready to pay, I was told I have to buy 1 more product in order to get the free product… I was again speech less! I felt I was like a piece of fresh meat, and the sales women were Mosquitos, hungry for blood!

The Neiman Marcus on line customer service is the worst ever. I They do not care about their customers.

Was very happy with my recent shopping experience at Neiman. I was in search of a pair of Prada sunglasses, and was helped by a gentlemen on the men’s floor. He opened the glasses case and let me try on numerous pairs. (he was very patient, haha) Although he did stare and sort of watch me try on pairs, which made me a little uncomfortable, he was very helpful with all of my questions. I decided on a pair that I loved, and he took me into the back to complete the purchase. I left with the silver Neiman bag, but realized that I was given a Tom Ford case instead of the matching Prada one. I went back in to the same salesman, who apologized for his mistake (since the glasses did look similar to Tom Fords) and immediately fetched me the right case. Despite the little mishap, my SA was very attentive and respectful. I was pleased with the customer service here.
The men’s floor is a bit on the small side and tends to have higher end products than, say, the adjacent Nordstrom. However, the selection, while smaller, is very impressive (and expensive! Whoa!) I still love to come in and browse around.

Less than impressed.
There were multiple sales folks hovering around one customer and presumably her family while no one greeted me until I had walked through the entire first floor. Then, I was greeted rather briskly and when I said I was just looking, the sales person sort of glared at me and seemed irritated. I said I was meeting someone and they replied ‘nice for you’. What on earth does that mean?
I was in my favorite department — shoes — where I’ve been known to spend money on items I don’t need. Now, I’m traveling, so the chance of me putting an extra pair of shoes in my bag is slim, but you never know (as the NJ Nordstrom sales person learned a few years ago when I bought too much during the anniversary sale). In any case, perhaps I wasn’t dressed nicely enough (are jeans and a trench coat not acceptable for shopping these days?)…but I found the staff either dismissive or rude (or totally not paying attention).
Very unimpressed and I’m way more inclined to buy designer shoes elsewhere as I do not enjoy working with folks at stores that aren’t pleasant. I’ve tried to give Niemans a chance a few times and I’m always disappointed (and this is at multiple locations, so I suppose it’s just their service model).

I love shopping at this store since the 1980’s, when it was Bergdorf Goodman. I still shop here, even though I now live in Forest Hills and I’m very attached to it because I spent so much time here when I was growing up in White Plains.
I’ve been searching for Fahrenheit by Dior for my father, as a gift. My father suffers from dementia and needs the things he’s familiar with around him– he doesn’t want to try anything new. Tony Lorie in Fragrances was AMAZING. He searched the Neiman Marcus website to see if he could find my father’s fragrance, and when he couldn’t find it, he called Parfumelle in Texas for me so they could ship it to my father.
Mr. Lorie engaged my father whist I was on the phone making this purchase — he really went above and beyond. My father is hard of hearing but Mr. Lorie was patient and very sweet with him. I wasn’t expecting this level of customer service and I am very impressed with Mr. Lorie.
I bought a bottle of Robert Piguet Visa from him and he quickly rang up my purchase using my Bergdorf Goodman card. These two transactions took 10 minutes, at the most. Mr. Lorie really made my day and I can’t wait until my father’s gift arrives from Texas. This level of customer service makes shopping at Neiman Marcus a pleasure and reinforces my love and belief in this store.

Horrible, customer associates think they are better then shoppers ! They even get upset when you are able to afford things they wish they could ! Nasty chanel counter associates ! I will never purchase something at neiman marcus !

I haven’t been to this restaurant since it was remodeled. They did an amazing job decorating. The food was as good or wven better than I remembered. As usual, the popovers were amazing! Great attentive service. Looking forward to returning soon.

This is my worst experience ever in my life in a high end store run by unprofessional people although my wife always shops at Neiman Marcus stores. Management was calling me on the phone a few hours after a credit was issued by their employees and telling me come pick up your returned merchandise which they had given me a receipt for and that I won’t get my money back for a return merchandise. Are you kidding me? Management at this store was harassing me telling me they wont give me my money back after I had returned my wife’s dress. I had to call their corporate office in Texas to let them know that their management has serious issues and they need to go back on retraining or get fired I would suggest these people managing the store have no idea how to run a business its a joke. Management people running this store really need psychiatric help they’re extremely rude and nasty. I would suggest to stay away from this store unless they change their current management or go somewhere else.

Went to Neiman’s on Monday 15 September. In clothing, I could not find anything in my size in both contemporary and luxury designer, and when I asked a sales associate, I was informed that they rarely carry anything smaller than a US 4; anything smaller would have to be ordered. She said that this store «does a lot of ordering» in order to get smaller women their sizes. I was really disappointed because they do have a wide selection but the fact they don’t carry merchandise in my size is just flat out ludicrous.
Will not be wasting my time in that store again.

Lol… this place is a joke. I’m not sure who the retail associates think they are, but they’re insanely snotty. Half of them don’t even pay me any mind when I walk in, maybe because I’m dressed down to walk around the mall? Anyway, I was in the shoe department and looking at Chanel shoes and the woman standing there came over to me and said «Those are very expensive.» Ok… lol… when I told her I actually have them and was just looking for another color she said «Oh really? Because they’re all sold out.». I let her know I didn’t get them from «you people» I got them at SAKS. where they’re not nasty human beings like these snots. You work off commission, maybe it wouldn’t kill you to be a little nicer. I tried again a few weeks ago to look for wedding shoes and there were multiple airheads standing around but again, wouldn’t help me with anything. I took my business elsewhere thank YOU! Their inventory sucks too. the woman’s clothes section isn’t which is why I gave 2 stars. I’d rather drive to the Short Hills mall to go to Neiman Marcus than 10 minutes to go here.

Beautiful store, great cosmetics area. They have everything you could possibly want as long as you have lots and lots of money. Here’s a tip: check out their house brand accessories, such as clutches. Classic designs and not too expensive.
Tried to walk through the cosmetics area this weekend though and an employee stepped in my path. She was speaking softly, but kept blocking my path as I tried to maneuver around her. I said «no thanks» TWICE and then tripped on the carpet trying to get away. It was weirdly aggressive.

This store is the worst. The salespeople have the worst attitudes of all the Neimans, Bergdorfs, Saks, Nordstroms combined. They shipped me a $ 5K bag in a soiled cover bag without its original box. HORRIBLE experience here each time I shop. so tired of it that I refuse to go anymore.

The staff are barely around, not that I need help — just made an observation.
The merchandise is all so over priced its ridiculous. The displays were very sparse upstairs (I didn’t really check out the downstairs bc there is nothing in this store for me)
Nice place to shop if you’re loaded!

I phone ordered my Chanel purse from here because this was the only chanel that had my purse. The wrapping was terrible. They shipped my CHANEL purse as if they had shipped $ 50 shoes. NO RIBBONS NO FLOWER. HORRIBLE WRAPPING. Shame on you CHRISTINA

Neiman has become so pricey. What happened? I also made a few returns
because its always hot or miss when you buy online, so they decided to cancel every order I placed online. I used to buy so much for them, now I would rather shop at Nordstrom or Saks. Even when things are on sale, Niemans items still look double the price.
