This man deserves an award. I developed some tissue in both pecs when I was about 18 years old from some supplements, and proceeded to have 2 surgeries done by a local and well known plastic surgeon. To sum it up, he didn’t take out the same amounts on both sides and left me kinda fucked up. About two years later I set up an appointment with Dr. Blau not really knowing how much he’d be able to help me given how much the previous doctor had messed up, and pretty damn nervous. I drove from Chicago to New York for the sole purpose of seeing this guy and I’m so fucking glad I made the trip. It was about a 30 minute procedure (from what I can recall) that took place in his office. He did such a great job. Both pecs are even and he removed everything. Not to get sappy but my quality of life has skyrocketed since then, which I am so grateful for. This guy is the best at his job, there is NO comparison.

As someone who suffered from gynecomastia since the age of 12, it had been a horror story for me for over 20 years. Not being able to wear the clothes i wanted to wear, having the weight of extra tissue on your body when you sit down, go up and down the stairs, and having your breasts flop up and down as a guy is a nightmare. Even when I was lifting weights very seriously, there was always something off about the shape of my chest. I finally decided to go through with the surgery and had it done yesterday, 8÷20÷15. The surgery involved liposuction plus removal of glandular tissue. Given that the surgery is fresh and I’m just now starting to heal, I can already attest to Dr. Blau’s unbelievable talent when it comes to correcting this problem that affects so many men worldwide and literally destroys their self confidence. Right now, I am bandaged up, bruising is quite severe, but the pain is minimal. I had both glands removed, plus 900 cc of fatty liquid removed, which Dr. Blau told me is equivalent to almost 2 lbs of fluid. As someone with this problem who knows what it feels like, I want to encourage other men to look into surgery as a solution. Believe me, diet and exercise will NOT correct this problem. Even at 6% body fat, I had boobs. You need to cut out the gland at the very least. And if you do consider surgery, definitely read up on Dr. Blau. In my opinion, he’s the best at what he does. He charges a little more than other doctors, but trust me, you get what you pay for. And trying to save money on a procedure like this is not a wise idea. Go with the best the very first time, and you will be thankful. It’s worth every penny. I can already tell my chest is super flat, even though there is bruising and swelling. Like I said, I had this surgery done yesterday. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. There is nothing more cumbersome than not feeling comfortable in your own skin, and gynecomastia is one of those conditions that affects you mentally, emotionally, your dating life, your work life, the clothes you choose to wear, trying to cover up the problem, etc. Do your research and get the surgery done. It’ll be the best decision of your life if you have self-​esteem issues due to this problem. And I can’t say enough about Dr. Blau. Dr. Blau is one of the most talented surgeons I’ve met. I’ve been to his practice on multiple occasions with my husband. My husband was a patient of his for gynecomastia surgery many years ago. I had been suffering from gynecomastia since puberty. If you are reading this then you have already experienced the embarrassing feelings associated with male gynecomastia. As a 45 year old male, I decided to finally do something about my chest. As a cosmetic dentist, I can appreciate how a patient feels when they are unhappy about their appearance. My main concern was finding someone who has the same appreciation. There are so many plastic surgeons throughout lower Westchester many of whom which I share a professional relationship. None have the experience and the wonderful personality of Dr. Blau. I called the office and immediately Mary Ann answered several of my questions and made my feel very comfortable. Before I begin may I say that having officially transitioned from Female to Male several years ago I held off from surgery for many reasons one being financial but the others based on the surgeries I had seen. A high percentage of them leave horrible scars. The surgeons basically cut across the entire chest in a line and you are left with that scar for life. This technique also looks very severe to someone like me who had never had surgery before. The recovery process is also very lengthy. However after a consultation with Dr Blau I felt brave enough to go for it as he is known for doing surgery without leaving visible scars. In pre op Dr Blau made no huge promises of outcome as my age (51) may be against me in terms of skin elasticity. So I went in there just hoping for the best. The procedure went very smoothly and with only about 45 minutes total operating time. A lot of guys I know had surgeries lasting at least 2 hours and some even 4 hours. My friend saw the results before I was bandaged up and she was amazed at the job he had done. No scars and perfectly flat. Dr Blau does not need anyone’s endorsement. In fact he is a pioneer and a giant when it comes to gynecomastia surgery. I doubt if there is anyone of his stature in this particular field.
As anyone who is involved in body building knows your chest is particularly important and can make or break you on stage. I needed the best surgeon available and did not want to take a chance with some mediocre surgeon and live to regret it. The gym was challenging for me as I spent as much energy hiding my condition as I did in my work out.
There are many body builders with horror stories when it comes to this surgery but not one about Dr Blau and he has done 6000 gynecomastia surgeries. To me the real judges of his work are not those overweight patients who do little to work out and improve their results but my peers — people who do everything they can to get into shape.
My surgery was exactly a year ago and I am so very happy. I am in my best shape ever and still making progress. Before consulting with Dr Blau I was seeing a NYC surgeon who advertises about gyne. all over the internet. I was not impressed by him.

To my delight and satisfaction I received an unbelievable results from my gonna camastia surgery done by dr. Mordecai Blau. I came to him to correct surgery that was done twice with unacceptable results because the gyne recurred only a few months later. Now about 2 years after Dr. Blau’s surgery my chest still looks amazing. Many of my friends in the gym have had surgery done by Dr. Blau and he came highly recommended. and seeing a ton of his before and after pictures, I felt he could help me and not only get results but without any visible scarring or incision marks. As a fit person the appearance of my chest is very important. If this is the surgery you need done than I hope you learn from my mistake and check your surgeon very carefully. Came to dr blau with a pretty severe case of unilateral gyno, it has bothered me for many years and after doing much research, he seemed like the man to see. If I could give Dr. Blau a 6^th star I would. When it comes to this particular condition, there is no one on this planet that knows more. A couple years ago when I decided it was time to change my life for the better, I began my research.
My research led me to Dr. Blau and a couple we’ll known Gynecomastia surgeons. I met with a «Park Ave» Dr who was very professional and knowledgable. He explained to me exactly what he would do and showed me a large portfolio of before and after pics. I was impressed with this Dr and didn’t think I would find someone better but of course I did. I finally had the chance to meet with Dr. Blau (2 hr ride from my home/​one way). Within a couple minutes of conversing with him… I realized I was around a true artist. He was patient, polite, and very sympathetic to my concerns. He made me feel completely at ease. There was a level of comfort and confidence I felt towards Dr. Blau that the other couple surgeons I met with just didn’t live up to. In the bodybuilding community Dr. Blau is like a god and everyone knows him. I know at least 10 bodybuilders who had great results from their gynecomastia surgery done by Dr Blau and this is the reason I went to see him. I found out about Dr. Blau on the internet when I was researching surgeons for a second opinion. After having unsuccessful Gynecomastia surgery, I consulted with Dr. Blau to see whether a second surgery would provide me with a better result.
Dr. Blau was nothing short of amazing from day one. As soon as I took my shirt off he immediately knew the prior surgeon had not completely cut out the masses from either side. Dr. Blau was very reassuring and all of his staff were extremely courteous. On the day of my surgery I was in and out in approx 45 mins as I was only on local anesthetic. This was better than going under like I had for my prior surgery especially since I became sick after waking up. The surgical procedure itself was painless and I was up and moving around almost immediately. I was even able to get back to work the next day which was very important as I am an attorney and couldn’t be out for several days.

I saw Dr. Blau in 2007 for Abdominoplasty after losing a ton of weight (Approx. 120 pounds — through hard work, meal planning and exercise) and after being recommended to him by a friend. I could not have made a better choice. During the initial consult we discussed both option for this type of procedure, pricing for his services and the anesthesiologist who bills separately, what I could expect in terms of appearance, recovery time, etc. He answered all the questions I had and we went ahead and scheduled the procedure.
