Cub Foods

Byerlys prices, with no carpeted aisles for my delicate feet, and no gigantic deli with endless options like crab cakes, baseball size meatballs… you know how Byerlys do.
It’s a big shiny new store with ample parking. You walk into produce as you would normally, it’s bright, and it’s very clean. I also noticed most of the employees are super friendly. They smile, stop and ask if you need help, a deli guy even told me he’d get me a fresh corn dog even though there were 3 in the case. Lub me a corn dog. The other employees… well they’re the same sour faced assholes as other Cubs Foods.
This store’s prices are HIGH. I’m guessing to pay off the debt from the new build. I stopped by this Cub on my way back from my favorite grocery retailer Aldi’s! I forgot apples and also wanted to checkout the store.
I go pick out 8 honey crisp apples, circle around a bit, get my corn dog, and head to the self checkout. My apples weren’t gigantic, about medium sized. My 8 apples were $ 21.78! Wtf!!! I was like excuse me checkout lady, please cancel my apple purchase.
I got in my car and went back to Aldi’s where I picked up a bag of 9 honey crisp apples AND dinner napkins for $ 4.96 total. My apple pie was just as delicious with Aldi’s apples. I could have bought two already made pies for $ 21.78.
I might stop here to pick up something small I forgot, like a cucumber… as long as it’s not $ 5, but this place is a bit ridiculous.

Opened today nice store! Big seafood and meat dept and love the deli! Good that there is a grocery store in White Bear Lake!
