History

Established in 1964.

Bob and John Hendricksen started as Hendricksen Tree Experts in 1964 when Dutch elm disease was taking its toll on Chicago’s American elm tree population.

Looking at the business landscape, it was realized we could do more for people and their trees by saving these trees than removing them.

We changed our business model to help people find solutions to keep that «legacy» tree alive.

Business Owner

I am second generation in the tree care company. I’ve practiced tree care since I was six years old. I enjoy meeting people and enjoy helping people solve tree problems.

In my spare time, I help mentor youth through Scouts. Volunteering is probably the most rewarding. I have had the opportunity to train the trainer, influence young men to earn the rank of Eagle, resolved safety issues at various camps, etc. I encourage all to volunteer to some degree, it’s important to «give back».
