History

Established in 2008.

Cookies by Joey has been around since 2008, but the company had a remarkable rise. It became national in a span of just 8 weeks! We’re proud to deliver our great cookies around the globe, to customers both small and large. Whether it’s a birthday or the MTV music awards, Cookies by Joey is delighted to serve you a fresh batch!

Joanne Sherman created her classic chocolate chip cookie when she was 18 years old, but she didn’t launch this company until 2008.

Prior to Cookies by Joey, Joey was involved with a variety of charities, helping out the community wherever she could. She was raising children and decided she wanted to run a company and have her own business be involved with charities.

Cookies by Joey now allows her to fulfill the dream of baking amazing cookies for a career and having her own business support local charities.

Joanne Sherman, affectionately known as «Joey,» was raised in a large Italian family with 10 children. The kitchen was a tremendous part of their lives, as Joey’s Mother prepared enormous meals daily. A quick study in her Mother’s kitchen, Joey followed her Mother’s culinary prowess and turned her attention to baking.

She rapidly moved up the ranks in the bakery department of the second largest supermarket chain in the Chicagoland area, and eventually moved on to focus on her own creations.

Over the years, Joey honed her skills and developed her own signature tastes that are celebrated in many baking goods… most notably, Joey’s cookies.
