This place was awesome, just wish we could have stayed longer. Booked through Hotwire like I always do and this is where we landed. Our room was *huge*(found out later it was their«king» room, which I hadn’t asked for [you can’t ask for anything with Hotwire], they just put us in it). Giant bed, small sofa(may have been a pull-out but I never checked), half-fridge, microwave(which I, uh, blew the fuse in the room & hallway using one day… but apparently to fix it all you have to do is hit the reset button on the outlet in the bathroom… no, that made no sense to me either, but it worked), bathroom with a heat lamp in it, kinda funky retro-looking desk, chair, dresser, and a small ‘closet’ sort of area. Keycard to get in to the building. Amazingly friendly staff. Pet-friendly. They also offer breakfast, which looked like it might have been okay though I never went down for it. They have a room where you can do some light grocery shopping, lol. But really, they offer a lot of different food(not just junk) that you just pay for at the front desk(and it’s really inexpensive). Couple of soda machines scattered about the premises. Across the street from a Village Inn and I think a Taco Bell. It also has a Mexican restaurant attached to it though we never tried it out. Gas station next door. Very easy access to I-70, it’s just on the other side of the gas station. My sole complaint is that a large part of the reason we ended up staying here was because of the weather that came through at the time(large snowstorm and extremely cold temps). They did not salt/sand the parking lot at all, making it a bit treacherous for walking(very icy) and the bit of plowing that they did only plowed out a single-lane-width area in which to drive… with the plowed snow piled in to the parking spaces. Um… Okay, so not the end of the world, but it really did mean having to be careful walking in the parking lot, especially after dark. Not a huge deal for me as I have a larger vehicle with snow tires, but I can see where it could have posed problems for someone with a smaller car. Very very quiet here, with the exception of our neighbors who apparently kept odd hours. Even then it wasn’t bad, could hear them talking a little and also when they had their TV on(all in the middle of the night — utter silence during the day — but since we tend to be awake late as well it wasn’t that big of a deal). I believe we were there for a total of a week. It ended up becoming slightly more pricey toward the end though, which is why we ended up having to leave. Too bad, I really liked this place a lot. If it comes up cheap again I’m totally there. :D

Simply put, I would have preferred to stay in my car. Rude housekeeping staff, filthy floors, smelly, and beds that sink. Don’t get me started about the breakfasts. They are not looking for repeat business

My Mom and I love this place… we stay here every weekend that we can. We go to church at Red Rocks and we live in Hot Sulphur Springs and this is our little get away place. Christopher is the nicest and most respectful young man we have ever know down here in the city. The rest of the staff«A» Plus… We love the girls that clean they are so wonderful… these rooms are very very clean and they work very hard. You can do your laundry here as well it is awesome and there are great restaurants next door and across the street. We love living in the mountains but sometimes it’s good to be around some people since our town is so small. Stayed here for a week.(still here till Sunday and them I am gone.) The room looked great when I got in but after 4 days I called the front desk letting them no I was leaving for a few hours with my dog so they could come clean and they never did. The front desk lady is very nice and so are all the contrsuction crew that is doing the remodel. There are a lot of drug deals in the back of the place, which is none of my concern except when I get solicited every night. Mainly just wished they would come clean especially when asked.

I came to visit a friend who was staying here. I felt bad at first because I though the place would be a lot more run down. They are actually remodeling because I walked by and say them painting rooms. It is old but they did try to do a nice job with amenities. The hallways definitely needed vacuuming and the bed comfort was a joke. Overall pretty clean, with a small flat screen TVs and some nice photos on the wall. 3 stars for effort on this one.

Doesn’t even deserve the one star I’m forced to give! Christopher, the general manager is a piece of work! We stayed in this crap hole of a hotel two nights and when trying to renew for a third we were smacked in the face with a $ 25 per dog per night fee(oh but he would give it to us for $ 15) when my mom heard he was trying to charge us a total of $ 150+ for one more night in a place that belongs on east Colfax! She told him she couldn’t authorize those kinds of charges on a card that wasn’t hers and knew that we would not pay that when you can go to a newly remodeled motel 6 across the highway for less than ½ that ANDPETSSTAYFREE! She never returned because we decided against it with the way the room was… There is nothing good about this smoke stench filled motel. When I noticed the charge had been put through to my card anyway I called and was told they would reverse part of the charge… I informed him he had no pin or signature to be able to charge my card and he told me «Super 8 doesn’t need a pin or signature» really super 8? When asked for a manager or supervisor of course, I’m dealing with the general manager and only an email address is available for«complaints» lol I have had nothing but bad experiences and both stays they’ve taken money that wasn’t theirs to take! As of now they’ve caused 3 other charges to be NSF so that is $ 45 they owe and I will be coming to collect! As for the rooms go they are nothing more than an enclosed trailer park with drug addicts and people you don’t want to deal with… The housekeeping people enter your room whether you have a do not disturb sign on the door or not, lucky for them my dogs don’t bite, the next one might not be so nice! The«NEWLYREMODELED» ROOMS had a big box television, a nasty blow dryer that had yellowed from the smoke in the room… The curtains were torn and had some brownish substance on them, the towel rack and toilet paper holder are coming off the wall, there was hair on the counter in the bathroom… And idk what the bed spread had on it but it’s always my #1 rule to pull those things off before anything else… The free continental breakfast was cereal, dry cinnamon rolls, bread/toast, they had a waffle maker but GROSS! We did make it out alive without any bed bugs… But now my bank account is screwed… You haven’t heard the final word from me Christopher! Terrible customer service skills and even worse hospitality skills If you know what’s best you’ll go across the highway to motel 6 it’s the only one in this area worth staying in. Only thing missing is the bugs, but you do get gnats!
