In September 2011 I was mauled by a dog owned by renter/​tenants who lived next door to my house. I went to a family recommended attorney and had an awful horrible experience. I was down on my outs and in tears when I started searching for a new attorney to take my case seriously and to take me serious.
The day I started calling attorneys I talked to Jim Roche on the phone. He was one of 6 attorneys I spoke to that day. Out of the 6 he was the only one that stopped me from crying and gave me hope. He actually cared what I had to say. It wasn’t just a case.
I followed up for an in person interview with him to go over my case. My case was far from an easy one. I knew this in advance.
When he spoke to me, he didn’t care how hard the case was or how much the laws were against it. He took it on. Over the next year I would come to realize something really amazing about this office.
The entire time Jim Roche was on my case I never felt out in the cold nor did I feel ignored. His office staff were always there to answer my calls and ease my anxiety. Specifically Kim Mazuc. There were plenty of calls to her while I was breaking down in tears that she is was kept me from crashing. She kept my hope up. Same as Jim.
As my case went on I knew the chances of winning were slim to none. The laws in Illinois were against me. That didn’t stop them from fighting for me. I was blown away by every single thing Jim did to keep my case going and how detailed and efficient it was. There was a time when I read a response he wrote and I literally broke down in tears.
For so long I felt like I was fighting alone. But they changed that. I was no longer fighting it alone.
I didn’t win the case against the landlords however we received a judgement against the tenants.
If I was ever asked since I didn’t win against the landlords do I regret picking Theisen & Roche as my attorney office, I would say 100% NO! I wouldn’t have it any other way. No one else would have fought for me the way they did. No one else would have felt like family calling. No one else would have been able to stop the tears and the anxiety. This place is not only highly respectable they are great people with great hearts.
