This office really helped me understand the difference between different kinds of glasses and contact lenses. They were very nice and efficient. Even though they don’t take insurance they were way cheaper than the only place my insurance pays for, Visionworks(I will never go back). Dr. Srun and his assistant were great and I highly recommend going here. They know a lot but they aren’t cOndescending at all. I haven’t gotten frames here yet but I look forward to going back and picking them out because it seemed like they had a great selection – I just didn’t have time.

Decided to give Costco/Dr Srun a go after finding out vision insurance was no longer applicable to me. Which is fine bc I was looking to move away from VisionWorks, I was not happy with my blast two visits there. Dr. Srun was very pleasant and helpful! I did not feel rushed at all during the exam. We were able to fine-tune my contact prescription. Its like I’m looking at a whole new world now! Will definitely be back!

I turned to Dr. Srun when frustrated that FOUR visits to my regular optometrist still hadn’t given me a prescription for contacts that was 100% right. Yes, I’m fussy, but it’s truly a quality of life issue for me. I’ve worn glasses since I was 5 years old, so I know when the script is right and when it isn’t, I’m perpetually annoyed. My exam with Dr. Srun was fast, smooth, and the script was PERFECT the first time. I was happy to pay for the whole thing out of pocket(my insurance now exhausted by the less competent optometrist elsewhere) because the rates were great. Dr. Srun is not only highly competent, but also quite pleasant and(my personal fave) efficient. I was in and out with the right script in no time. Making an appointment was easy, and the admin staff were great, too. I also wanted something unusual this time: contact lenses for computer use(optimizing my vision at 23″ from my eyes) and glasses to go on top of them for the rare times I am driving and need my far vision optimized. This is reverse thinking to the old-school optometrist I had been dealing with, and she never adjusted to meet me. Dr. Srun understood my work-at-home vision needs are somewhat different than many other peoples’, and got on board right away. His office is located inside the Wheaton Costco. I expected good prices but wasn’t sure if the quality would be high. I’m careful with my eyes! The equipment for detecting problems with eyes is so advanced that equipment is as important as quality staff when choosing an optometrist. Dr. Srun’s office equipment is just as extensive and actually newer than the other optometrists I’ve seen in this area, and Dr. Srun clearly knows his stuff. You don’t have to have a Costco card to go to his office, by the way. This is my new go-to optometrist. Added bonus: there was no pressure whatsoever to use the Costco optical shop(which also takes scripts from anywhere and was refreshingly free of upselling techniques). I decided to get my glasses at Costco($ 40 for fabulous frames, $ 80 for lenses, promised in 7 days but actually ready in 3.) I bought my contacts online(just slightly cheaper at Vision Direct dot com.)

I found Dr Srun to be very patient and he explained everything very well. Great value.
