History

Established in 1943.

Hultgren Funeral Home and Cremation Service is family owned and operated and continues a tradition of devotion to caring and professionalism that is backed by a loving family and faithful staff. The funeral home is now owned by Tim Hultgren, Vern’s son. The other licensed directors on staff are Vern Hultgren, Scott Macy and Josiah Fisher.

Hultgren Funeral Home is committed to serving families well in advance of need as well as following the funeral service. Mr. Darcy Kolschefski is our Family Services Advisor and directs our Pre-​Need and After-​Care Services. Darcy is state licensed and a Certified Preplanning Consultant by the NFDA.

Tim, Scott and the whole team at Hultgren were compassionate, insightful, knowledgeable and understanding through the whole process of dealing with our mother’s funeral. They will assist and guide you (if your need it) through the whole process. It was stressful enough dealing with our loss. Thankfully everyone at Hultgren made sure we didn’t need to concern ourselves about anything they were doing. They had covered everything. Thanks again.

Excellent service with compassion at a difficult time. My mother had the foresight to pre-​arrange the details for when she died — so glad she did. Hultgren’s took care of so many details for us, all in line with my mother’s wishes. Scott helped us with all the logistics for cremation and interment, obituaries and death certificates, memorial service arrangements and he even attended the service, making sure everything was in place as my mother would have wanted. Can’t thank you enough.
