Prospect Rv Park

Stayed here for a few nights in our RV when moving across country from IL to OR! Very quiet, safe, and comfortable. Bathrooms were very clean and showers were hot. Also, loved that Prospect Park was right next door since we were traveling with our two pups. The owners are also just the nicest people — the day after checking out and heading on our way, I discovered that I had accidentally left my late grandfather’s medal (that I wear while traveling) hanging in the bathroom! I was heartbroken and sure that it was lost forever. Turns out some honest person had picked it up and turned it in to the office! I am so relieved and grateful. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone. Oh, and they have cute puppies in the office!!!

We made reservations four months ago and were excited to camp next to our friends. Our friends arrived an hour before we did, and our view of the campground went downhill before we even arrived. Our friends said that our sites were not next to each other as originally requested. The lady at the front desk assigned our friends a site that was already taken when they pulled up with their RV. So back to the office they went to get things in order. The lady at the front desk was so unorganized and kept on switching other reservations arounds before the actual campers arrived to accommodate the ones who were standing at the front desk. It was a cluster.
We arrived soon after and the lady was not willing to accommodate us as we asked again to be close to our friends. Our reservations were for full hook-​ups and she could only give us water and electricity. She placed in the the smallest site where there was very little space for us to maneuver around. The F-​350 next to us came home and parked halfway in front of our RV so we couldn’t hitch the RV if we wanted to. Our neighbors behind us are only 4 ft away. We have never seen a set up like this before. I know more RVs mean more money but wow, cram us in like sardines no matter what size your RV is.
Upon our departure, it took us 25 minutes to maneuver the RV numerous times to avoid hitting another permanent camper. Even the grounds keeper approached us and said that the lady didn’t allow us enough space to maneuver and said it tight. Of course, he left immediately to avoid our frustrations. Unbelievable!
We were so disappointed and baffled how they can cram so many RVs on one site on the westside of the RV park. With our two days of stay, we saw other sites available close by to our friends. Very frustrating that the lady didn’t accommodate us.
We won’t be coming back no matter how close it was to the sports complex where our tournament was. Be prepared for permanent residents mixed within the campers and smaller sites on the westside of the RV park. If you do have to camp here, hopefully you will get a site on the east or south side but you will still be close to another camper. As far as the WiFi, we never got on since it continues to tell you that the network is available. Really? Also heads up, if you have to use the dump site, there is no water to rinse off your hose, they shut off the water and lock the pump plus they want you to deposit $ 10.00 for the use of their dump site. Have fun with that!
The only saving grace for this campground is it is quiet and the Prospect Park is close by. Prospect Park is beautiful and peaceful. Great place to walk our dogs around the lake and the park. There is a stream and a bike path nearby. Great nature walk.

Love this campground! Took a road trip from PA to CO and needed a place to park the camper. Found this place online and am so glad I did. Its close to just about everything. The people who work here are so friendly and make you feel like family. Private bathrooms are clean and they even have washers and dryers on site. The sites are easy to access and the place is quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this place all day.

** Expect threatening signs regulating restroom and laundry use. **
** Expect the WIFI to be a joke. **
You may get access to any of several WiFi repeaters, but at extremely slow IEEE 802.11a speeds. I often waited MINUTES for
and
to load. Sometimes web sites stall /​stop altogether in the middle of loading, requiring you to reset your computer’s or tablet’s WiFi and start the agonizingly-​slow process over again.
Their net server likely needs a firmware /​software update, and repeaters need repositioning /​updates /​new cabling to server. Or they may be wireless repeaters, so you’re daisy-​chaining through a couple wireless connections /​gateways.
** So you’ll need your own WiFi amplifier, at the very least. **
If it’s a firmware /​software or wireless repeater problem, that won’t completely solve it.
** Also expect an «if you have problems with our WiFi, go out and get your own» attitude. ** That’s what the sign says in the office.
If you don’t use WiFi, none of this matters to you.

I just wanted to write about this little gem near Denver. If you need to find an rv park near Denver, look no further than Prospect Rv Park. After having a miserable experience at an rv park in Strasbourg, Co. We found this park, which was much more convenient to Denver. The women in the office were so warm and accommodating. They found us a space and when we needed to stay an extra day, took the time to move things around so that we could stay in our site.
They make you feel welcome and that is not always the case these days. If I ever come through town again, I will definitely be staying here!

We stayed here for several nights earlier this month, as it is one of only a handful of RV parks within 20 miles of Denver. The campground could use a bit more green space, as the campsites are gravel; however, the private, key access bathrooms were clean, and the campground is well maintained.

We stayed here for just a night and we were pleased. If your looking for open spaces with a lot of amenities then this is not the place for you. If your passing through town and want to stop and catch a baseball game, this is a great place! Right off the freeway and within a 20min drive to stadium! Water pressure is one of the best we have had! And that is saying something consider in we are on day 26 of a cross country drive!!! Office manager is super nice too!!!

We stayed here from 9÷28÷12 — 9÷30÷12. This was my 1^st RV park with our RV. I was a little disappointed when we first pulled up — nothing but gravel & spaces are very close together. We could not park our F-​350 next to our 32 ft 5^th wheel RV when our neighbor showed up, luckily we were near the end of the row & parked along the fence. We have 2 dogs, & I was not sure where I was going to walk them. I did find the pet path (on the other side of the park) pretty quickly — it was awesome & the best part of this place. The pet park goes around a lake & also links up to a nice trail. You are assigned shower/​potty to use with a key & code. We did not use the shower, but it looked pretty clean. Also has washer/​dryer, but did not use. My husband liked the park overall — able to pull into our spot pretty easily, convenient to highway, good for 1 – 2 nights stay only. Main complaint is the large number of monthly/​annual people b/​c their areas & RVs are not well kept.

A «best kept secret» RV park that is close to most everything in north Denver. Nestled close to several lakes, hike and bike trail, prospect park lies this great little RV park. There are lots of resident RVs and some slots are a little cramped, but hey, you are close to everything and the rent is cheap compared to another local park. Don’t expect any bells and whistles with this place, but Nancy — owner and manager is a wonderful angel and we adore her. If you have a dog, there is plenty of space to walk him. If you want to exercise him at a off leash dog park, just drive down to Miller St. (1.1mile) and there is a beautiful new park. If you ride bicycle then you are close to Clear Creek bike trail. I love this park and would give it a 5 star rating, but it doesn’t have pool/​hot tub or paved roads. Other than that, it’s a great park!
