Specialties
We specialize in classic Italian meals, Gluten Free food and very friendly service. Having been in business over 15 years now, we are proud of our involvement in the community, whether it be our growing relationships with local businesses or our regular support of local non-profits and schools. Our other specialty is catering, both onsite in our banquet room known as «La Terrazza» and offsite with deliveries and events, large and small. We are a family owned and operated business and enjoy sharing that mom-and-pop feeling with all our customers!
History
Established in 2000.
Abrusci’s became a reality in November 2000 and was the dream of Steve Progar, the owner’s brother, who attended the Culinary Institute of America in NY and also developed many of our popular dishes. The name of the restaurant came from extended family in NY, who are 100% Italian and hail from the province of Abruzzi in Italy.
After opening and growing into a profitable business, the need for gluten free options arose and we began offering both gluten free pasta and pizza. Since then we have expanded our menu and now serve 95% of our menu with gluten free selections. We are also adept at customizing meals for most all diets/allergies.
Opening our banquet room, La Terrazza, was next in 2006 and this launched our catering business. We began serving food both buffet and family style in La Terrazza and also developed a Catering menu that offers half and full pan sizes for serving large groups.
In Sept 2016, we are moving down the street to 22nd and Youngfield — stay tuned!
