Mendoza Marble & Granite

I feel compelled to write this review, although I have never written a negative one about any company before. The reason I am taking the time this time is because when I looked up the current reviews for this company they were all good, and i realized the reason. Enough
time hasn’t passed yet. If there was a serious installation problem their customers will not likely know it until years down the road. There is no way anyone would ever know that poor installation caused a tension crack, or worsened a slight crack until tension was put on the stone for a very long time. Long past Mendoza’s warranty.
We purchased granite and installation from Mendoza’s 8 – 9 years ago, when the were very new and we were very pleased. Or so we thought. However, the granite they installed now has a crack (about 4 feet long, ¹⁄₈ inch wide, and ¼ inches deep!) Mendoza Marble finally sent someone to our home, after months of trying to get them to return our calls,
and even stopping by their store personally on several occasions. In response to our complaint, they sent the original installer. He came to our home with a «translator», because he barely spoke English. He said he never saw anything like this kind of damage and thought maybe it was because there was no washer on the faucet and there was a leak that caused it to crack over the years. A slight intermittent dripping of water causing stone to crack? What!!! The Mendoza installer said maybe he could repair it for around $ 400.00. What?! Assuming that something this expensive would have a 20 year or lifetime guarantee, we were surprised to learn that their work was only guaranteed for one year!
Granite is a very expensive investment. So is replacing it when the company that sold it to you does not «make good“on their products or services when they are directly
responsible for the damage. Homeowner’s insurance will not cover what our adjuster called «poor installation». Buyer beware — Find an installer that backs their
installation and materials for 20 or 25 years at least.

We used Mendoza Marble & Granite to purchase and install granite during our kitchen remodeling. We were shopping around and visited places such as Home Depot, Lowes, and a couple of privately owned companies. We can now say that at Mendoza Marble & Granite, a family owned company, we felt the most welcome. Everyone was very helpful and took the time to assure us that everything would be done their best abilities. We were given the best price out of all the offers we had already. All of the work was done within the stated time frame. The granite was cut precisely and installed fast and accurately. We are in love with our kitchen now! We used Mendoza during our kitchen remodel and could not have been happier. Their staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in finding the perfect granite to compliment our new kitchen cabinets. They made sure we understood exactly how the final counter top would look and it came out perfectly. They went out of their way to reschedule the installation when our contractor needed it changed and the installers were skilled professionals. We recommended them to friends re-​doing their kitchen as well. Ours was a totally positive experience!

I had a small job that needed to be rushed. Mendozza marble and granite was eager to help me with a quick turnaround. They were gracious, professional and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend them for any stone job big or small!

We looked at two places (one was way expen$ive and the other had horrible customer service) when my husband suggested here. It’s right around the corner from his work and many of his coworkers have used Mendoza and we’re happy with them.
We stopped out on a Saturday afternoon. The young lady was very helpful and gave us a lot of information, including pricing upfront. We went out back to find a slab and she was patient with me as I insisted at looked at every slab and ended up picking the first she suggested. We selected our edge cut and sink type and wrote the contract.
The installers were just as efficient. They showed up on time to measure and install and worked quickly and professionally. Since we were going to a below mount sink, they even suggested we move our water turn offs so we could still access them after! Very helpful!

I am very happy with Mendoza Marble. My outdoor kitchen looks amazing, and I could not be any happier with the service I received from start to finish.

We contracted Mendoza to manufacture our granite kitchen countertops and breakfast bar. Their craftsmanship is superb and pricing was reasonable. We got to pick our slab from a number of samples, which I really liked since no two slabs are likely identical.
The only reason for 4-​stars instead of 5-​stars was that we had a manufacturing defect with the stainless steel sink and it took awhile for it to be remedied. Though when they did the reinstall was perfect. Additionally we returned for another piece of granite to make a shelf, which was done to perfection, however the girl on the phone didn’t quite get what I was explaining and got pretty nasty with me. Not good customer service — needs to be improved.
I would however not hesitate to purchase from them again as the workmanship is superior as is the quality of the granite. You get what you pay for!
