The Soapy Dog offers a complete line of fine grooming services to bring out the best of appearance and personality in any breed. We work carefully and take our time and do it right. Pets certainly know when they are clean and looking good. Well-​groomed pets are happier, better behaved, healthier, and more outgoing.

The most important element to consider is the experience and artistry of the groomer. Soapy Dog employs three of the most experienced and talented groomers on the South Shore. While each person tends to specialize in a breed or size, they each groom all breeds of dogs and cats with superior ability.

Grooming at the Soapy Dog is generally by appointment. Pets are dropped off according to your scheduled appointment. We estimate pick-​up time when you drop off and almost always accommodate your schedule. On average a grooming session will take 3 — 4 hours.

We also offer a self service where you use our custom Soapy Dog tubs & supplies and we clean up when you’re done…

History

Established in 1988.

The Soapy Dog was started over 22 years ago by Jim and Carol Yacobucci. Ken and Dacia Allman recently purchased the business in April, 2010 from Jim and Carol. The Soapy Dog team is excited to partner with Ken & Dacia to provide professional grooming for our clients. Plans are in the works to expand services, packages and pet supplies.

Dacia loves animals and this passion is the reason she decided to buy and invest in the Soapy Dog Grooming business. Dacia has over 30 years of experience breeding Champion Cocker Spaniels and also supports her mother breeding Maltese and Cavalier King Charles spaniels.
