This place is ridiculous. It’s an Italian meat market with everything under the sun. All prepackaged, meats, sausages, cheeses, freshly prepped meals, you name it. A fantastic butcher shop as well. All high-​end!
Their subs are phenomenal. For seven bucks for a medium it’s two meals. For 10 bucks for the king you and a friend can share it for the day. even a lady friend. Right across the hall is Italian pastry shop called Fratello’s. Same deal. Super High-​end pastry, freshly baked breads that they will slice on site. All made fresh, all phenomenal.

Great deli great cuts can’t go wrong and if a your a fan of santarpios lamb tips try the all ready marinated lamb tips brings eight to east without the drive also the steak tips are damn good to. (Bores head cold cuts need I say more).

I’ve been going here for several years now, having been turned onto the place by a friend. My wife swears by this place, but here’s my take on what’s going on there based on the steak I just bought the other night.
I bought two packages of sirloin steak to grill up at home. Each pack had two long, narrow steaks which looked delectable, and at $ 8.99/lb weren’t exactly cheap. So I cooked up 4 steaks for dinner that night, and between the 4 of us at the table, there were enough fat and gristle chunks to make up the entire weight of one of the steaks. It was quite surprising in this day and age of people needing to (not only reduce the amount of red meat we eat but also) eat less fatty foods, meaning leaner cuts of meat, then to pay 9 bucks a pound for ¾ lb of fat. Nasty. They know exactly what they’re doing there, so shop wisely.
Additionally, for more than a year, when people ask me about Prevites, I say «cook what you buy as quickly as possible». We’ve had read meat and chicken turn on us in our fridge before their sell-​by date (meaning within the next 24 to 36 hours). Not sure what that’s all about, but you really should buy only what you’re planning to cook in the next 48 hours, or freeze some of your bulk purchase.
Our kids love their subs, and we love the soups and side dishes/​salads. Those complaining about their produce should just drive two miles to Whole Foods for the best produce you can get! It’s a meat market folks…
And the people there are just great, service is just fine, and anyone who has had a brush with someone there is clearly starting out wrong. Be nice to people and they’ll be nice back. Don’t be a dick to someone and expect awesome customer service just because the «customer is always right». It’s that easy.

I love this place. I first had their mini subs at a catered work lunch. I eat there once a week. Their subs are
Yummy. If you want a hot sub of any kind get there before 2 (I think they stop serving hot subs at 2). Their meats are fresh and really cheap! My recent obsession is their stuffed chicken breasts. I also get their turkey tips a lot. The staff is friendly and you can tell they are very tight knit. All they need is a bigger parking lot.

This was my first time going and I was amazed! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I didn’t know what the best meat would be for what I was doing and the man behind the counter was so helpful. (It’s cooking in the crock pot right now and the smell is out of this world!) But while waiting, I saw about 3 other things that I wanted to try (so getting the stuffed chicken on my next trip). We then hit their bakery and everything looked (and smelled, oh my God!) incredible!!! Again, found several things I wanted to get, but used my willpower and got only what I already planned: some cannolis. Ok, that’s a lie, I couldn’t resist also getting a couple of small Neapolitans (which were sooooo good!) Looking forward to dinner and dessert tonight and will definitely be back. Don’t know if I can get meat anywhere else, now!

I just keep going back for the chicken salad (read: basic, no frills, the way chicken salad is meant to be) subs. $ 5.25 for a «small» sub the length of my forearm. And just super fresh ingredients. Bread is awesome. Lines are long. Wait is ridiculous during lunch rush. But in the end, totally worth it.

Have been a loyal customer here for a long time. However, I am rethinking my return. The girl with the black hair and nose piercing (don’t know her name) was so rude. The fact that she even has a job in customer service amazes me. I have never seen an attitude like this before. It was as if I was an inconvenience to her (eye roll and all!). Shame on the owner.

Freshest most delicious food in the area. From a full lunch menu to pre made dinners they have it all. Fresh meats, fruits, veggies, sauces, and toppings. I go here whether I’m hungry or not. There is a bakery next door, but I haven’t ventured in there yet. I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

How to Lose a Customer For Life in Five Easy Steps:
Step 1 — Have woman behind the deli counter make the wrong size of the wrong sub from what you ordered and then have her insist, when questioned about it, that «No, that is EXACTLY what you ordered» in such an unpseakably rude and dismissive manner than all further rebuttal is immediately squelched as she moves on to the next customer in a huff, without a backward glance or an apology or an attempt to rectify the situation and you are left standing there with your oversized sub that you didn’t order dripping oil and vinegar down your arm and into your basket and basically ruining your appetite, your day, your faith in humanity.
Step 2 — Actually, there are no other steps. Step 1 is sufficient.
Should we have asked to speak to a manager? Probably. Should we even have arrived at the point where we’d HAVE to seek recourse to a manager — probably not. Multiple stressors from all points (behind the deli, behind us in the serpentine line for the deli) shut down all decision making receptors. Satruday’s are rough her, for sure — but they do this every Saturday. Get your act together, and get your orders right. You have one job, ONE JOB!
We just got out of there as fast as possible, Previte’s left forever in the rear view mirror. Sad to see it recede and vanish. We’d been coming here for years, but alas, no more.

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? This place is amazing. I guess I do have one warning– don’t allow your husband here unsupervised. He will come back with massive amount of meats because it all is so good!

As a market, I think prices are a little high even though the quality is there.
As a sandwich shop… reasonable pricing, large portions and great taste.

This place is very good for cuts of meat etc. I had heard so many good things about the subs, but to be honest I wasn’t blown away. Overall you can’t go wrong here. Other reviewers are correct, the parking is a little tight

I go here for the marinated meats but a lot of people love their sandwiches as well. The meats are unrivaled. The marinades are all delicious and they must filter out the bad selections and trim what they do use because the meat is always tender and not fatty/​knuckly/​whatever other gross things regular markets leave in the meat. Despite the odd hours this is the only place I’ll go for marinated meats.

This is solely for Prevites and Prevites only, the butcher shop and the deli completely rock, I didn’t write a review for a place I’ve been getting fantastic sandwiches from for over a year, I stand by this review and my other review is for Scituate lobster pound, and I stand by the three stars for that until they get their own Unilocal page and live up to their promises.

Amazing staff serving the best meats and lunches to go! There is no better place to go for a quick and delicious meal, the butchers have never steered me wrong picking out roasts or giving me suggestions on ways to prepare it. A true gem for the south shore!

Hidden jewel of Weymouth. I was blown away at the size and freshness of the chicken cutlet sub I got from the deli. The various cuts of meats beat Shaws and Stop and Shop easily.
Only 2 drawbacks:
1. Bad parking situation. The lot is tiny, which forces some people to park across the busy street. Customers end up playing live Frogger.
2. Deli sandwiches are only available until 3pm. This just points to a greater problem with this area and Boston in general. That is, everything closes early.

Always happy with the selection and quality of everything at Prevites. Their boneless Ribeye has been a summer grilling staple in our house. We marinate with their Ribeye marinade, throw it on the grill and it is fantastic every time. As good as you would get at the best steakhouse. Their subs are fantastic as are the prepared foods. My husband especially loves the Mac and Cheese and I love all the pre-​made salads which are always fresh. Their line of marinated steak tips, turkey tips and chicken are great. They have a huge selection of their own spice mixes and seasoned panko breadcrumb mixes.
The parking lot is small and you’ll be easily annoyed by this or the crowds inside — but it’s worth the trip.

Good place to grab a quick takeout lunch. The hot dishes rotates daily at reasonable prices. They also have a decent selection of subs to choose from.
If you don’t like big box supermarkets, there are a selection of fresh meats. Not a whole lot of produce and dry goods to choose from though. I would still go to a supermarket for produce and dry goods or for good deals/​promotions.

Okay, so I’ve been here a couple times to pick up a sandwich for lunch. And you know what? I’m going to keep coming back.
This place is the type of place I’m looking for when in search of a deli/​butcher. It has a little market in the front ¼ or so of the store with the rest of the space devoted to cases and working space of various meats, cheeses, and seafood. Additionally, there is a bakery/​pastry shop attached to this location (separate business, see here:

So far I can only speak to the quality of the sandwiches. And to that, they’re giant, inexpensive, and delicious. And they are seriously 5-​star worthy on each account. The bread is soft and fresh and the meat and cheese is piled on high.
Whether you’re looking for somewhere to pick up a sandwich for lunch or you’re looking for a butcher to pick up some items for dinner, this place seems to be a winner.
