It sits in front of the Old Wethersfield Fire Station. This very sleek looking memorial was dedicated in July 2013. It consists of a four-sided shiny stone base below an open white stone frame. Below the frame, suspended over the base is a gold fire bell, and above the frame is a gold Wethersfield Fire Department helmet. There are four inscriptions on the sides of the base; including the significance of the bell, a memorial to two firefighters killed in the line of duty, and one dedicating the memorial to Wethersfield’s past, present, and future firefighters. It’s a pretty sweet memorial.
