I didn’t catch the girls name that waited on me, but she was fantastic! She knew the answers to everything I asked. It was so refreshing. I expect people who work there to know their stuff. I was so impressed!!!

I have never seen such a huge collection of nips in my life! And a lot of them are cold! Also a big selection of vodkas, cold mixers, craft beers, cold beer singles. They had a bunch of $ 1 nips, so I will be back for stocking stuffers!

This place is your standard liquor store. They have a fairly large selection of wine and liquor, a descent selection(but not great selection) of cold beer, and small row of warm craft beers. Prices seem to be pretty consistent with the other stores in the area. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go here though.

I felt pretty meh about this liquor store at first. While it’s huge, I was not impressed by the wine or beer selection(especially mediocre for anything beyond your average beer.) But right as I was going to pay, I noticed they had singles in the Dogfish Head World Wide Stout, which I haven’t seen anywhere else in CT. So big props for that.

The Silas Deane Highway is home to several(and I mean several) liquor stores. The problem is that(1) the majority of them sell your standard mass produced wine and beer;(2) the owners have both a limited knowledge of their product and(3) they are unwilling to venture out and carry a larger selection local(state/region) wine, beer and spirits. I will admit to patronizing several of them, but my search for a local liquor store as ceased with the discovery(and more frequent patronization) of Townline Discount Wines & Liquors, which surpasses them all. Yes, they carry a wide range of mass produced wine, beer, and spirits but they also carry some unique selections, all at competitive prices. They also have a good selection of local, craft and small batch beer(which I appreciate more and more). In addition to the selection, they get high marks from me for their customer service. The owners have always been very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, even going as far as to offer to purchase a varietal of wine not on their shelves. Now that’s customer service!

Like Rolf says, better than your average beer selection. Larger than average cooler, some imports and lots of domestics. Big parking lot — i stopped in after going to the little fruit market next door. Staff seemed friendly.

Friendly service from the owner, and judging from the selection of wines and liquor, he seems to know his stuff. Not the best selection of beer ever, but better than average selections. I don’t drink any of our domestic swill, so I’m hard to please when it comes to beer. Found a wine producer that I don’t typically find, and the prices seem conpetative. A good find and worth returning to. Also upon talking wine with him, he offered to order anything I didn’t see.
