Specialties
The guests of Tarantino are treated to dishes inspired by the region of Italy where the owners hail from, but with an innovative twist. We have an extensive menu of entrees and appetizers, and we insist on only the finest and freshest ingredients. Meat, fish and vegetables are delivered fresh daily. We also offer an extensive charcuterie of aged meats and fine cheeses.
History
Established in 1994.
Tarantino is part of a family of restaurants in the Fairfield County area. The Marchetti-Tarantino family, whose roots run deep in Gravina in Puglia, southern Italy, opened their first restaurant, Maria’s Trattoria, in Norwalk in 1983. Columbus Park Trattoria was then opened in Stamford in 1985, followed by Osteria Applausi in Old Greenwich and Tarantino Restaurant in Westport in 1994.
Maria Marchetti makes all of Tarantino Restaurant’s homemade pasta, and you can taste the difference. Maria’s homemade pasta is only part of the great care the family takes with all of the dishes they serve, including the careful selection of all ingredients.
