Milo’s Methods is a fitness concept that creates a personalized environment for individuals to pursue their fitness goals. Its focus is on the individual who wants to balance fitness with lifestyle. Every workout is customized to address the specific needs of the client through personal training and intense 50 min strength training classes.
History
Established in 2009.
Milo’s Methods was developed in honor of the practices of Milo of Kroton. Born over 2,000 years ago in the Greek colony of Kroton, Milo had an amazing life and was the first person ever documented to use progressive strength training in his daily life.
From 540 BC to 514 BC, Milo of Kroton dominated the Olympic, Pythian, Nemean and Isthmian Games. These four Panhellenic Games were considered sacred festivals because each took place to praise a god. In all other ancient festivals, competitors fought for financial gains, but in these festivals they fought for pride, honor and respect for their villages.
Milo of Kroton’s awareness of the body allowed him to gain results through his logical strength training and hard work. His understanding of the body’s ability to develop as a whole unit helped him to accomplish his ultimate goals. Therefore, we hope to educate people in «The Legend of Milo» philosophy, while always maintaining its integrity.
