Went here with family… last chance on this place… food was awful, obviously everything I. Frozen (and freezer burned) «wing night» and out of wings…“we were out since last week” per waitress. two tables in place the whole time we were there… blue cheese dressing was rotten… curdled and rancid… it smelled like rotten milk… waitress says «oh let me get you some if the fresh stuff» I cannot understand how this place stays open… owner should be embarrassed. I only wish I could give it 0 stars.

The wings are soooo good and flavorful! Especially the boneless. But they discontinued my favorite!!! The raspberry flavored!!! That was the most unique thing about this place:(

Great service from the bar and wait staff. I had wings and was very impressed the size of the wings and loved the sauce.

Never had a bad meal there. Excellent food, good beer, good wait staff. The wings are fantastic, everything I’ve had so far has been great. The people with the bad reviews must have been having a bad day.

I don’t know where the few negative reviews came from but I went here with my family and they were great! We had the fish fry and drinks which were both very tasty. We heard that the chicken wings are also really good. Our waitress was extremely courteous and attentive and the atmosphere was also very good, low key.
We met the owner and manager and they were incredibly kind. I heard that they changed some things around in the past few months so maybe they fixed all the negative things… I would totally recommend them.

I’ve been here 3 plus times. Food ok. Wait stuff not so much. Our waitress had attitude as soon we sat down. We asked if they had a beer list. She did no and then preceded to crab about telling the manager they needed one. Then we asked what was on tap and why were dark beers? She didn’t know. We were waiting for one person so we ordered an appetizer. Chips were stale. When it came time to order we asked what soups they had? She said usually chicken noodle and chili. Got attitude when she was asked to so check. We all ordered salads. (9.99 salads) she gave us attitude. When finally got them she came back every ten minutes asking if ok them preceding to take out plates and we weren’t done!!!
I don’t know how they stay open. It’s straight out of Bar Rescue. It needs help.
Worst service ever. Never going back and will recommend people not go there.

Party of 35. We were willing to be patient, but not for 2 ½ hours. 2 waitresses. Rest of staff stood around and socialized while our waitresses scrambled to get us served (and not everyone was fortunate to get served). Then extra staff clocked out and ordered beers at the bar, while we couldn’t even get a refill. They did make a huge effort in going «green» as bathrooms were toilet paper and hand towel free. The dispenser on the floor had a nice decorative touch. Too bad the service was so awful, because the food was actually good.

The food was terrible and so was the service. Our waitress was impatient that we had never been there before and were unaware of our options. There is no drink menu and we had to go to the bar to see our choices. Food came out quick but was cold. The fried bluegill was only partly done and had the skin still in tact. I was unsure if this was normal and asked out waitress if it was and she looked at it, shrugged, and walked away. Needless to say it’s not worth the time or money.

This could be a nice establishment if it had better management and service. The servers (for the most part) are rude and the general manager is the most disrespectful person I have encountered in a while. You literally feel as though you’re a burden to the staff and more importantly the manager. Terrible customer service. Make the extra drive to bdubs.

This was bar far the most disrespected and angry I have ever felt at a restaurant.
I came as part of a group of six, we were friends from years ago and everybody happened to be in town so we organized a get together to watch the Sunday football games and enjoy some wings/​beer. We all cheer for different teams so we decided to try Tailgatez as they have several TV’s and menu options.
From the moment we walked in we had issues, the host couldn’t find a table big enough for six that was clean. After we were seated it took at least 10 – 15 minutes for our waitress to get to our table (even though the restaurant was fairly dead). The bar was somewhat full of Packer fans watching the game so we expected to wait a bit for our drinks…20 minutes later– we finally get our drinks.
We had one person with us who was in town from Colorado and requested to have the Vikings games turned on. We were greeted to this request with attitude and the excuse that there are only five TV channels even though there are 15 – 20 TV’s. I asked to speak to the General Manager and she ended up being the one bringing our drinks.
I asked her Why we were unable to see the game we wanted, she replied that customers at the bar were watching all the games that were on. There were two games late in the 3^rd quarter that were 31−3÷38−0 types of blowouts. I’m sure if they would have asked the customer he would have been more than happy to allow a game that had been long decided for a game that literally went down to the wire.
She started walking away without apologizing or offering any type of solution or empathy toward our situation.
As she was walking away I told her that next time we would plan on just going to Buffalo Wild Wings
She waved me off and said back (across the dining room) «That’s good!»
I really wanted to love this place, it’s close to home and the food is fairly decent given the price. The drink selection is adequate but between the service and the GM and her obvious disregard for anyone who isn’t a «regular» at the bar is enough to make me never go back and make sure nobody I know has to deal with that ridiculous service.

Ate dinner here on Sept. 13, 2013. Had generally low expectations going in, recognizing it’s bar food after all, and the primary objective was time with spouse and 12– and 14-​year-​old daughters, to «catch up on the week.»
I recall quite vividly the two worst dining experiences of my adult life — one in Wisconson Rapids about 10 years ago, another at a place in Wausau several months ago. This disappointment at Tailgatez in Weston, WI, might be a contender for 3^rd-​worst-​dining-​experience-​ever.
Me: Friday fish fry
Her: Chicken tenders
Teenager: Burger
Pre-​teen: Steak
The fish = just plain uninspiring. Friday Fish Fries in Wisconsin are ubiquitous and, really, how hard is it to deep fry a couple of fillets? Side order of onion rings were way overcooked and had the gravel-​y texture of a disintegrating roof tile.
Chicken tenders: spouse wasn’t very hungry so opted for lighter fare that she deemed safe. She described the tenders as «not inedible … dry and chewy» accompanied by sauce that was overly sweet.
Burger: Teenager ate ¹⁄₃ and ignored the rest. I took a bite. The verdict? Flavorless.
Steak: Fatty, undercooked (medium rare when «medium» was the request) … very disappointing for an entrée that should have been a treat.
Side of cheese curds, another Wisconsin mainstay that ought to be easy for the preparer, had the consistency of vulcanized rubber.
The waitress was pleasant enough, but overall the service was poor because everything was slow. Toward the end, she forgot about us, though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.
On the bright side, a seasonal autumn «pumpkin beer» was quite lovely.

My friends and I come here most Sundays during football season for fantasy. We sit up at the bar and take advantage of the great ‘all you can eat’ wings and fries for $ 9.99. The service is always great and the food is too.
I recently came here with my boss for lunch, on my suggestion, and we had a good meal and a good experience!
