so my husband and I were out on a Wednesday and Bellini was great. perfect day to visit, not too crowded but as usual you can always count on the Weston happening crowd. noise level is also just right with a little help from a singing waiter or two. so nice. wine selection pretty good. Pros: clean modern interior, great location, parking good, dimly lit lighting, huge menu selections, wait staff very attentive. we ordered bruschetta appetizer, mushroom risotto and seafood linguini. all were fabulous with an Italian Red Wine from Tuscany. too full to order dessert or coffee but perhaps another time.

I have to start by saying that I’ve been to Bellini’s three times before for lunch but this we my first-time checking out their dinner service. My wife had the Penne A-La Vodka with chicken on my recommendation and I kept it simple with the Chicken Parmigiana. First my wife’s dish arrived without the chicken and when it came back, is was definitely missing the Vodka sauce, meaning it was just marinara or tomato sauce with cream… no «Vodka» in the mix. My wife’s not one to complain and ate it anyway, but I was very disappointed as I don’t think we were expected to notice. My Chicken Parmigiana was good, but I asked for my pasta with garlic and olive, where the pasta was lukewarm and somewhat dried-out as if it had be served out of a pre-prepared batch and reheated. All-in-all, I wasn’t pleased with the dinner service and even found the servers to be a little cold and hurried. On a positive note, the hostess was warm, courteous and professional(refreshing for someone so young) and the owner did come by and ask us about our experience, but I guess I’m like most people in that I was ready to leave at that point and just gave a cursory everything was fine. I first went there on the recommendation of an Italian-American buddy of mine(College friends from the U), knowing that I’ve traveled all over Italy with my family and have a preference for authentic«home cooked» Italian. I’ll give Bellini’s another chance based on my lunch experiences, but one more so-so dinner service and I’ll update this review. Actually, I’ll update this review in any case… good or bad to let you all know if they redeem themselves.

Great Italian Restaurant in West Broward! My wife and I have gone to some of the best Italian restaurants in South FL and have traveled to Italy as well. The Pizza is made with good quality ingredients. Anthonys coal fired was always to salty. I have tried the branzino which was very delicate and flavor full. The Chicken parmigian was good. My favorite dish is the linguini and clams. My only complaint is the service. Some of the staff are unfriendly.

We went to celebrate a birthday. We ordered calamari, which was a skimpy portion and very oily. We ordered six entrée, the linguini Alfredo was undercooked and the shrimp were rubbery. I had the seafood risotto, with two clams, two mussels, two shrimp, there were also parts of «scallops». Also, where was the rest of my risotto??? The rest of the group were equally unexcited. Also, the place is really small and tight. The waiter must have bumped me and the other guest fifty times, including dropping a pile of rolled silverware on us. Upon looking at the take home that they packed up for us, they were even«nice enough to include the shrimp shells in our take home box. Go anywhere else but here!

This place really has great food, The restaurant is medium size and is on the north side of the plaza, not in the front. The someone in the back, hopefully the cook or owner is singing Italian something… Not sure what, but it fits the atmosphere… I have had many dishes here and they all have been very good, service is good. They have classic Italian dishes that are perfect portions. My only grr is every time I’ve been there the music is rather loud, it’s Italian nice, but a bit too loud to have conversation with people at the table. Otherwise… Great!!!

I am Italian, and the food and service here doesn’t merit even a star. Awful in every sense of the word. The bickering among the brother and sister and the waiters is just not what we go out to dinner for. Very small restaurant and servicing their patrons is non-existent. Food was really bad.

Best italian food we’ve had in FL. We ordered a linguini pesto with shrimp, ravioli with a walnut crème sauce, and a child’s spaghetti. All were outstanding. There were some interesting dishes on the menu and not just your normal italian dishes. The cocktails and service were great as well, and they carry some good whiskies. We will definitely be back. A good place for«date night».

My friends and I just walked into the restaurant and was rudely greeted by one of the waiters. The staff made us feel very uncomfortable and uneasy. We made the decision not to stay and as we were leaving, another staff member asked us, «is it too expensive?» Very condescending and not friendly at all. I would not come here again. It is unfortunate because the place looks like it actually had good food.

The food is is delicious, however the service needs some help. Not sure if the waitress didn’t understand English or is just rude. We would ask for something and her comment was” why didn’t you tell before”.

I really don’t understand the hype or ratings for this restaurant. For starters, it does not take reservations as it states and we were a party of 6. There were a couple of other guests that arrived after us, that where welcomed in and sat immediately, a party of 6 and 4. The place is very small and Dario(Owner) and other employees constantly arguing in Italian with one another. I guess they didn’t know I spoke the language and totally understood the brother and sister arguing about sitting a guest before the other. Food was mediocre not more or less than your local chain«Brio Tuscan Grille» and do not ask for anything other than is on the menu, they will not accommodate you. You will have to speak to «Dario». Simply not the way a restaurant should run. We took our own bottle(with knowledge of prior corking fee) and were told they would not open it. A person in our party said, «but I am a regular and it’s been honored before». The response from you of course can guess whom it was and he stated«so everyone is a regular, and I have the liquor license». Maybe another reason you had to close the restaurant you also had in Miami Beach. This may be the closest in Weston you have to Italian, but I have a gem in my own back yard Salvatore D, which makes me appreciate them that much more. Make a drive and go elsewhere, is my opinion. Not worth the meal or aggravation.

7÷22÷2015 — My mom’s birthday was coming around and she came down to visit from Orlando. I was in charge of selecting the restaurant. Of course, I looked at my trusty Unilocal app and found Bellini. We came here with a party of 4 adults and 2 children. We were seated in a corner booth with plenty of space for the high chair. The server came and my brother-in-law asked for Pellegrino. The rest of us were just drinking regular water. I don’t think she understood and brought everyone water glasses for the Pellegrino. We stopped her and explained that we would be having regular tap water. Bread was brought to us, and there was some pieces that were cold and some pieces that were warm. We are bread people and this did not please us at all. My sister ended up ordering the Sauteed Mussels in red sauce($ 11). They were very good and flavorful, it was a good serving as well. Great for sharing. We also ordered for the table the Antipasti Italiano($ 14). It was not very fresh. The meat was hard. My sister put the girls orders right away. It was just chicken and fries off the kids menu which did come out right away. Finally we ordered our meal. My sister ordered the salmon. I tried it and it was fresh, it was also plain, just a piece of salmon and veggies. I ordered the Linguini Pesto E Gamberi,($ 16), it was a big portion but the flavors were very bland. My mom ordered the Gnocchi Al Quattro Formaggi($ 13), again another flavorless dish. My brother-in-law ordered the Pollo alla Parmigiana($ 18), two huge pieces of chicken and tons of pasta covered in red sauce. I must say, the portions here are worth getting the food. The flavors were lacking and so was the presentation. We ordered the New York style cheesecake with fresh strawberries and they brought it with a candle for my mom’s bday. The bus boys were great, our server was just doing her job, which is great but she lacked a little personality. Who knows, maybe she was having a bad day. There are lots of dishes here, the ones we had just missed the mark.

Visited this restaurant with coworkers and overall the experience was great. We went there for lunch and it was easy to accommodate a big group. Once you walk into the restaurant it has a decent atmosphere but it didn’t really remind me of Italy, but it is nice nonetheless. The restaurant has very diverse selection of dishes, for every taste. A bit of warning though, some of the dishes are very heavy and lack flavor, while other dishes are very delicate and lighter. In the end the food was not amongst the best I’ve had but it was good for the price. another standout feature of this restaurant was the service. We came here during a weekday lunch, and the food was ready surprisingly fast. Overall, if you want a reasonably priced Italian restaurant with great service, Bellini is a great option.

‘Woohoo! As good as it gets!’ is right, so much so, I out of respect won’t write one of my uncomfortably goofy reviews for once. I wanted to wait until I had been here more than once to review this gem for a few reasons. The first and most obvious reason was to be able to judge the food by having a variety of menu items on different days of the week where there’s a possibility of having different Chefs cook our meals. Another very important reason was the first time we came we were invited by our good Unilocal friends Sue B and Michael B who drive from Plantation to eat here pretty much on a weekly basis and sometimes more than once in a week, they are almost considered family by the owners and Chefs so we got the Royal treatment when we all went. The head Chef and other Chefs actually sat and chatted Sue and Michael up when they had the opportunity. My Wife’s review goes into detail, it’s pretty cool stuff I wanted to visit without them to see how the service and vibe really is. Lastly I wanted to compare them with two other Italian restaurants we’ve found that are totally awesome. So today was our second visit and I had the Linguini Frutti Di Mare which is pasta with Seafood(littleneck clams, calamari, black mussels scallops and shrimp) and it was absolutely crazy amazing. This is my second favorite Italian dish so I’ve have it often and I can tell you this was the best I’ve ever had. I could tell they cooked the clams separate in the white wine before adding them which makes all the difference in the World. During my first visit I had my favorite dish, Linguini Bolognese. It was so delicious I jumped on it forgetting somehow that I wear white T Shirt’s 99% of the time and left looking like I had genuinely murdered some folks, I mean it is an Italian restaurant. Coming as civilians, without Sue and Michael made no difference at all concerning the quality of service, it couldn’t have been any better. Our server brought my first Beer in less than 30 seconds after ordering it(if you’ve been out with me you realize the huge impact that made LOL) and continuously returned to our table to check in on us. Something my Wife and I thought pretty cool was entering we passed two customers speaking Italian and once seated we found ourselves seated near a very jovial and laughing, 3 wine bottles on their table group of people, wait for it… speaking Italian LOL If I had to choose which of the three totally awesome Italian restaurants I referred to was the best, in my opinion Bellini wins out and considering how great the other two are it was hard for me to imagine anything better than them at the time. I thank Sue and Michael for finding and turning us on to a place with food AND service both this great in the same establishment. On a scale of 1 – 5, Bellini Italian Bistro get’s an 8.

We finally made it, to the popular Unilocal restaurant in Weston. My wife and I had a great night with 3 other couples from Unilocal.Sue and Michael who come here once a week convinced us last night, Bellini is good in every way. My wife and I arrived early as usual, and sat at the bar. After looking at some of the martini’s they make, I had to try them while my wife had her Prosecco. I ordered the Cucumber Martini first which was garnished with a big olé basil leaf and peppercorns. As I was taking a sip, I could smell the fresh basil and taste this well prepared martini at the same time. Pretty good idea. I saw someone drink a Mellon Martini, and ordered one of those next. Must say, really good. We really got used to this nice casual atmosphere pretty fast as the vibe at the bar and the tables was really welcoming. This was going to be a fun evening. When Sue and Michael arrived, they were warmly greeted by the manager and owner and they really took care of us. It was so nice to see how people who are loyal to their establishment get treated well as it should be. They are not all like that in South Florida so it was nice to see. Once everyone arrived, we were seated way in the back at a real nice 8 top table somewhat private away from the regular restaurant traffic. Was a perfect spot to be with friends to talk and enjoy the different dishes we all ordered. But FIRST, we graciously got served complimentary anti pasta dishes which had prosciutto, cheeses, olives, Italian salami and who knows what else they served on there, but it was a great start for the evening. Great with the glass of Barolo I had. For dinner, my wife had the baked Branzino, baked in Parchment paper with potatoes, artichokes and tomatoes. All the flavors blended nicely with fresh rosemary seasoned on top. She said it was the best Branzino she ever had. After ordering Branzino and other fish dishes at Italian restaurants all the time, I decided to order something different. I ordered an unusual Veal Gorgonzola. The veal was cooking what seemed to be a brown cherry sauce, topped off with the gorgonzola cheese. On the side, they served a delicious mixture of vegetables and potatoes. I really loved it and it was a perfect portion. Other dishes that our friends ordered were Mushroom Risotto, a meaty beautiful Lamb Shank, Lamb Chops which were thick and meaty, although it did take a couple times for the chef to get the temperature right. The service was A++ which I am sure had something to do with knowing their patrons who come in often. Everyone from the owner on down were warm and friendly. Most of all we were with great company, as usual, when you meet new friends on Unilocal and try the places they recommend. And NEW friends too. I recommend Bellini for the authentic Italian cuisine, warm staff and casual atmosphere. This is a place I would walk in any time to have a meal.

This place has been in business in Weston for a couple of years, but we just got to try it for the first time yesterday, and we are glad we did. This is a great small Italian place. Nice lively atmosphere, simple décor, very good service and excellent food. We were greeted by the owner as soon as we walked in, even though the place was very busy, and we were seated within a couple of minutes. We tried their Burrata as an appetizer, and it was just right. Nice and creamy, with sweet tomatoes, basil and balsamic drizzle on the side. As entrées we had the«pappardelle al funghi» and«ravioli with pear in a walnut sauce». They were both outstanding. Pastas tasted homemade and were cooked al dente, and the seasoning on both dishes was perfect, just the right mix of spices. They also have a very good selection of Italian wines. We tried a Baby Amarone that went extremely well with our pasta dishes. We really enjoyed this place and will be back to try some of their other specialties.

Five star company at a five star restaurant. Bellini is good as I have ever had for Italian food. Also, it has a very nice ambiance. We had made plans to meet Michael B. and Sue B. along with Michael C. and Goldie C after we had dinner a few weeks ago, but Michael and Goldie couldn’t make it. We sure missed them, and I am sure they will love this place when they try it. We arrived to find Michael and Sue B, waiting, and there was already an appetizer on the table. Michael and Sue are regulars, and I would guess Bellini’s best customers. Dario, the manager was at the table, and I honestly thought he was one of their friends they brought to dinner. He waved at us to come back as if he was expecting us. After I sat down, I realized he worked there. He was just so friendly, I didn’t take him for staff. LOL Fellas, I would caution you when taking your date here, Dario is very warm and charismatic. You may find your date blushes at this guy. I think I did. I learned that they had brought the appetizer, and it was complimentary. I think that is because Michael and Sue are such good customers. It was a nice Antipasti, and we all shared it; not a bad start at all! I tried Sue’s Cucumber martini and that was fantastic, and very refreshing. I had to stick to beer because I would have likely passed out from those as it was really good. Each couple ordered an appetizer, and we went with the Antipasti di Pesce. This was the bomb! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delectable. I tried their Octopus, and now I see why Sue loves it. It wasn’t rubbery, but just the right texture. Again, we all shared, and it gave me the opportunity to really sample the menu. Which reminds me, if it isn’t on the menu, ask for it. They love to make you happy here and will likely make it for you. Next up, the entrees. Allen S. ordered his favorite, Fettuccine with Bolognese sauce, and was blown away. He can give you the details, but he has tried a couple other places that he thought were the best, and he just has not stopped talking about how great Bellini’s surpassed the others. I went with Lasagna. I had been craving it for some time, and I keep venturing out to try new and different offerings, but I am really glad I ordered this. I have never tasted lasagna like this. They put Béchamel in it, which adds a creamy rich texture to it. Also, they bring it to your table with a stern caution that the dish is hot, and it is! I didn’t touch it for 5 minutes, and it was still too hot when I took my first bite. Oh was it worth the wait though. I had to share some with my mother-in-law. Sue ordered the Sea Bass, which was really divine as I was lucky enough to give that a try also! Michael ordered the Braised Lamb Shank over Risotto with a sauce that would make angels weep. Every dish served was fantastic. I think anyone watching us go on and on would think we were filming a Bellini commercial because no one could stop raving about the food. We finished things off with dessert and with all our sampling, we were pretty full so we shared the dessert between the four of us. The Tiramisu was a home run also. But we weren’t finished yet. Michael and Sue had a surprise for Bellini, Christmas gifts. They really love Aldo the Chef and Dario, and it’s mutual. That was obvious and a testament to the quality of the food and service people receive at Bellini. I am just glad I was there to see that. It was like watching family at a warm celebration, really touching. I think I welled up a little bit while I was taking pictures. Oh, like I said, we weren’t done yet. Aldo and Dario had them send out more dessert. This was after we had paid for our meal mind you. They sent another Tiramisu, AND Chocolate Molten Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream. That was too good to resist. After the meal, as we were leaving we were hugged and kissed by Aldo and Dario. It was really like saying good-bye to family. We can’t wait to come back.

Truth is truth. This is a delicious place to dine! Went on Saturday with another Unilocal couple friends of ours. As we entered we were immediately greeted by Dario the manager who embraced and kissed my friend as if they were family. As they seated us the Chef, Aldo came out to see us(well to see our friends). He also treated them like family. Truthfully it was hard to make a decision when looking at the menu. Lucky the Chef took it upon himself to make us a special appetizer made of pork belly… very nice. My husband ordered the veal osso bucco. He was in heaven and even had to take a doggy bag home because it was huge! I ordered the oxtail which was divinely prepared in a brown tomatoe sauce. I so wanted to suck on the bones but held back lol. I too took a doggy bad and needless to say you know what happened the next day. I highly recommend this place. We will return… soon!

Oh, what a great meal! The restaurant was abuzz with Friday night diners, the servers and busers were hustling and the chef, evidently, was in a fabulous mood — if the food was any indication! We feasted tonight! Burrata appetizer with Parma prosciutto, grape tomatoes, ribbons of fresh basil, and sliced purple onions — the best we ever had! Antipasto di pesce — shrimp, clams, mussels, and squid in a rich tomato broth — we loved it! Pizza Quattro Stagioni — a 10″ thin crust pie baked in a wood burning oven, each slice topped with either olives, fresh artichoke heart, prosciutto, or mushrooms — we order this frequently. Grilled lamb chops glazed with thick balsamic reduction with grilled asparagus and salted/herbed fingerling potato halves — yes please! Penne Salciccia e Funghi — fresh pasta and sausage slices(low fat, dense meat — not the typical fennel flavored course ground meat) and mushrooms — in a concentrated tomato sauce that clings to each piece of pasta. This is another repeat dish because it’s just delicious. Coffee and tiramisu for the table — no one was shy — we scraped the dessert off of the plate — nothing was left! Check out the pics — and drool!
