Our family-​based business has a forty plus year history of refinishing hardwood floors. We repair water damage, pet stains, and the wear and tear of daily traffic across your hardwood floors. We will show you stain colors right on a freshly sanded floor, so you can decide which shade will look best in your rooms. We sand and finish with three coats standard, for no extra cost for a clear, or natural finish. Stains are slightly more per square foot. We also remove carpeting for an extra charge. Let Adam and Dad make your floors so beautiful, you’ll be tempted to eat off of them.

History

Established in 1999.

Adam & Dad Hardwood Floors LLC, was formerly known as Harben Flooring of Norwalk, then Wilton and Weston CT. It was begun by Harold, and named for Har (old) and Ben, the oldest son. Adam is Ben’s son, hence, Adam & Dad when Ben took over when Harold retired.

Adam & Dad accepts jobs all over the state. It has traveled as far as Bar Harbor and Vermont to finish fine floors for its customers.

Ben worked with his father, the original business owner, since he was strong enough to handle the sanding machines. He has taught many other young men this business too. His eighty-​year old father would still push a sanding machine, if Ben would allow it!
