I have tried several rice dishes from this place, like com ga xa ot, com ga hai nam, and com ga roti … They are all good and tasty. It cost around $ 8-$ 10. For me, I think it is worth it because of the quality and the cleanest. I like clean restaurant and if the food is good, thenI will give 5 stars. You guys should try it to see if you guys like it. For me the rice dishes so far are perfect. Wish the price is around $ 7.50 to $ 9. At this price, I think they will attract a lot more customers.

THISIS A TOGOORDER. COMGAHAINAM. It’s been over a year since I was there, but my dad bought me com ga from here. I’ve heard the place went downhill, but that’s not for me to judge. FROMMYORDER I loved all their sauces, and their chicken is tender and super moist because it’s made with a smaller kind of chicken. Its skin wasn’t hairy, and that won me over. This is my favorite place to get com ga Hainan.

Decided to give this place a shot. Right away, the place is fairly small as it’ll fit 30 people max in there. It was strangely quiet. The good amount of patrons were barely talking, there was no music or any background noise whatsoever. Might be a good sign thst people are focused on eating? Well, we had the banh canh and the Hu tieu Nam vang. They were both decent. It was a pretty standard affair and nothing really jumps out at you. We did get a stomach ache afterwards though. Overall not too bad for the price. But there are plenty of places with the same dishes that do it better.

My 4 Star rating is strictly for the BBQ Chicken with Noodles. I tried the Hainan Chicken Rice once and wasn’t impressed, but the Ga Roti with Noodles is the bomb! Ga Roti(BBQ Free Range Chicken) with Noodles — You can get the chicken with rice, dry thin egg noodle or think egg noodle in soup. I prefer getting it with noodles. If you get the dry noodle, it comes with a smaller bowl of soup on the side and is $.50 cheaper than the big bowl of broth. The amount of noodles is the same. The chicken is free range, meaning it’s less meaty and more flavorful than your hormone pumped chickens. Yea, it doesn’t feel like it’s as much chicken as you would get when you regularly order a chicken dish, but this is because free range chickens are smaller(and more expensive) as they supposed roam around the farm freely and get to work off their fat. The skin is bbq’d to a gentle crisp with a thin layer of moist fat still under the skin. The broth for the soup is rich with layers of long simmered goodness melted in. Add fresh chives, bean sprouts and a twist of lime and you have a steaming hot bowl of soup that is refreshing and complex but won’t weigh you down. This restaurant used to be Grand Com Ga Hai Nam but they changed owners about a year ago. The menu is basically the same. There is some confusion as to what extras they include in the meal. When they first took over, they still gave free Nuoc Mat(artichoke iced tea) with every meal. Then they stopped that and handed out a bowl of dessert jelly at the end of your meal. Then when I went this month I asked if they still gave Nuoc Mat and the server brought me free Nuoc Mat but there was no dessert. So if in doubt, ask for the complimentary Nuoc Mat and see if they give it to you. As for the other dishes on the menu… I’ve seen other people get them but I’ve never ordered them. Order at your own risk. I haven’t found a bbq and chicken noodle soup combo on Bolsa, so that’s what keeps me coming back.

Ive been to this restaurant for years and it looks like restaurant is going down hill, went there today less than two minutes and after ordering my Com GA Hanh Gung, i clarified with the waiter that I want dark meat and he told me its too late, the portion of the food less than before for almost $ 9.00,food wasnt good either, rice wasnt hot, we asked for water and they gave only 1 water, this does not make sense when 2 persons go out to eat and only 1 gets to drink, i know we in a drought but thats ridiculous, I wont bother coming back here again, good luck !!

Terrible place but let me start with the pros. There was more meat than usually used in other restaurants when I ordered my Hu tieu nam vang. Kudos for not being stingy. It was in a newer plaza and looked clean inside and out! But, looks can be deceiving… Now for the cons. As we arrived and stepped inside we got seated and got out menus. Not once did we receive a greeting of any kind. Waitress comes up and asks for our order without a single smile(gee thanks for the warm welcome!). As we are waiting for our food my two children and I walk to the restroom. Boy was this a mistake. As soon as I walked into the restroom, I almost vomited. How could a place look so clean yet their restroom was so disgusting? It makes me question what their kitchen and integrity measure up to in cleanliness. Anyway– I put toilet paper on the scratched up brown toilet seat so my child can use the restroom. The floors are covered in filth and not only is the restroom unisex but also used as a storage room for baby high chairs! OSHA and parents with any kind of sanitary values would not agree with this. When we were done with our business we go to wash our hands in the brown(supposed to be white) porcelain sink and they were almost out of hand soap so I had to use hand sanitizer from my own purse. My kids were able to use soap and as I reach for a paper towel I stop and can’t help but stare at the paper towel dispenser, the handle and the entire dispenser covered in dirt and grime. I reached for toilet paper instead. Now for the food… We received our Hu tieu soup first, then our veggies(rau cai) five minutes later. We received our rice platter first, then our broth bowl and they entirely forgot the nuoc mam(fish sauce). I was so disappointed at this point that I didn’t even bother asking for it. I attached a picture of the amount of veggies(rau cai) they give you when you order some kind of noodles soup… What cheap shits! One strand? Really? I am also attaching a picture of the scissors they gave me to cut my children’s’ food up… It looks like it’s been used to cut through trees or something and has so much bacteria buildup in the creases(the dark spots in between). Come on guys… Scissors are a DOLLAR at the dollar tree. And then they bring out their cheap dessert immediately after they bring your main entrée out. It’s all melted by the time you’re done eating. I will never be back here and hope you don’t ever make the same mistake we did.

This is just a small eatery serving Vietnamese-style Hainan chicken rice. It comes with soup and free dessert. All are tasty, though I believe the portions could be improved. The food came out quickly minutes after ordering.

Details. . Dinner for 4 on a Saturday. prOs. . The hu tieu that the boyfriend got was tasty. . The hainan chicken rice that I got was alright. cOns. . The chairs were dirty. Almost like they just wiped all the crap from the tables onto the chairs. . The service was very inconsistent. . Their seating makes no sense. We were sat at a table meant for 8(2x four-seater tables put together) & because we didn’t use all 8 seats(obviously), they sat a random stranger at the other end of the table. It was just weird. . The food did not all come out at once. It was so inconsistent that the noodles my mom ordered came out 5 minutes before her chicken came out. O_o . They gave us complimentary dessert(che), which was nice. EXCEPT, mine was completely bland. Like someone forgot to add sugar. However, my parents’ & boyfriend’s apparently tasted fine.

They have good Com ga, even thought the portion is little smaller than other place, the chicken quality is extremely better. You get what you pay for. Service is still slow since they are new but that is not the problem for me. Also, Hu tieu is made with fresh meat and«long» so it s pretty good. Will take my family there next time :))

If I could rate this place at no star, I would do it. This was the second time I came here under new owner… The foods taste worst than ever… The service is so s… i ordered rice and it was supposed to come with the soup but they didn’t bring it out. I asked for it then he brought it out. I ordered 3 chicken rices and 1 chicken mixed with veggie no rice and at the end the bill was $ 38.66 without the drinks. I asked the owner, he said same price, SORIFFEDOFF. So please, if you are planning to go there, make sure ask for the bill, don’t look at the owner and let him fool you. THEWORSTOFTHEWORST.
