Let’s make it fast and simple guys. Pros about Lee’s: –Great coffee –Yummy smoothies like avocado –cheap prices –baguettes –pâté chaud Cons: –Cash only(most places) –Not always fresh sandwiches –Takes a long time to get your stuff

Bad. 20 minutes for a sandwich with no lines. Owner was not pleasant and didn’t really care. Was gonna pull out my Stephanie tanner impression and say«How Rude».She’s gonna make money no matter what though. Unless…just spitballing here… we gather the workers and other reviewers and force a strike! Jk I’m over it. Bye Felicia!

Great place. Been coming here for a decade. Expensive ice coffee but it’s really good and delicious. The staff barely speak English so be prepared if you don’t speak Vietnamese. The staff is always willing to help and offer me treats from the bakery. I come for the BBQ Pork Sandwich. The #6. The sandwiches are cheap as hell though. The bathrooms are always clean and I never have a problem chilling out for an hour or two while I sip on some delicious Vietnamese coffee that puts Starbucks to shame. I dare you to do a side by side comparison of the coffee.

The Vietnamese coffee here was amazing. It had the perfect amount of bitter that wasn’t too overwhelming and leaves you asking for more after each sip. I got the Bahnmi #1 and it was good, but I’ve had better. The sandwich was a bit small which could have used more filling but the components were good! Unfortunate the place is cash only so my friend had to pay for me but it’s good! I also tried green waffles for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I was told that it’s better fresh but I thought it ok. Green waffles are coconut waffles so they’re slightly sweet and you can chew on the bits coconut shavings. I would definitely go again for their coffee!

Eww ewes ewww! Lee’s sandwiches have gone downhill so much since they first opened many years ago! My first time having lee’s was in Houston. Trying it out in Cali is such a disappointment! Everything taste so old and stale! Especially their Macarons! I believe all other local restaurants around the area killed the franchise. It will take me awhile to go back to one!

Sandwiches were good… They’re inconsistent about their meals. One time they told me that the meal I choose came with an iced coffee the next time I asked for the meal that came with the iced coffee and they said non of them came with the coffee… Also they only accept cash… So I often choose somewhere else to go…

Their iced coffee is good, love the crushed ice that then melts to turn into more coffee — smart. Their sandwiches are OK, I don’t really get the hype. Their rolls gave me the worst indigestion, it was terrible, never again! This place is cash only, which is such BS. I think they should have the pay taxes like everyone else.

Avoid this place if possible. I ordered banh mi from here several times and it was definitely not good at all. The sandwich went bad on several occasions.

There’s a reason I don’t go to this Lee’s Sandwiches often. Its just not the same compared to some of their other locations. Actually its quite a joke in comparison. The place is filthy and I mean trash everywhere. Inside the store seems more run down than most other places and with a terrible décor I already lost a bit of my appetite. I came through and ordered a couple of banh mi to-go. Usually it doesn’t take me that long to get banh mi from Lees at other locations but this place takes forever in making my food. Seriously, it wasn’t even busy for them to take that long. When I tried my banh mi thit nuong I quickly noticed how disgusting the pickled veggies were. Pickled veggies are part of my favorite thing about banh mi sandwiches but if done wrong it can be pretty bad. The thit nuong wasn’t up to par either. There was more fat on it than meat. I had to spit out half of my damn meal just because I couldn’t even eat the thit nuong. Overall this place is not one I recommend. They need a remodeling, they need better customer service and they need better quality food. The parking lot is also limited too. I mean I knew Lee’s sandwiches weren’t the best banh mi place around, but for a Franchise like this I would have thought there would be some consistency. Guess Not!

Coffee is good but the wait can be long during peak hours. I like the lemonade and ice coffee.

Had Lee’s before and the sandwiches aren’t really that amazing. If you’re true fan of Banh Mi’s this place isn’t much to brag about. Pro’s: the Bread. It was very flakey and crunchy where it needed to be crunchy, and I was very happy with that aspect. Ingredients seemed okay but lacked that flavor boost that most Banh Mi’s are known for. Con’s: place was kinda messy, and the meat was lackluster. I will just leave it at, try a better place for a more authentic experience. This a banh mi on a budget. :(

This Lee’s Sandwiches location has a really small parking lot so I usually just drop off a family member to run in and buy food while I stay in the car. This place gets especially busy when it is the holidays and all the tourists want to stop by and buy all the banh mi and café sua da so if you’re a local, I would suggest avoiding this place around the holidays. Workers work very efficiently so even though the lines are long, you’ll get your food pretty fast… unless you are stuck behind a 50 banh mi order…

Quick cashiers but slow sandwich makers and low quality sandwiches compared to other Lee locations. Guys behind the pick up counter look confused and the process to order and pick up at this location is horrible.

What kind of place doesn’t accept credit cards in this day and age. Other locations take credit cards, but this location does not? ATM(achine) so they could make more money. Not exactly looking out for their customers best interest; essentially penalizing their customers using the least efficient methods of transaction. Poor business aspect, with seemingly poorer quality foods over time. It’s bad when someone who hardly reviews needs to leave a review. Losing my business

Yes, there are a lot of places to eat on Bolsa, but if you’re in a hurry and just want a consistently good, inexpensive sandwich, Lee’s is a great option. My go-to, the #5 grilled pork sandwich, is a 10″ baguette filled with seasoned pork and crisp veggies. It’s large, but won’t leave you feeling particularly over-stuffed. Oh, and it’s only $ 2.99. Sad to say, this particular location is not the cleanest, especially outside. I typically grab my sandwich to go, so it’s usually not an issue. Service here isn’t exactly friendly either, though they are pretty fast. They are also cash only. There is an ATM in the corner, but who wants to pay those fees? Make sure you have cash on you before you go. Oh, and don’t forget to try the Deli Manjoo — little, baby Twinkies filled with creamy custard. Get a whole box, but be careful because you’ll probably eat them all yourself. In the car. On the way home.

Let me be clear… My last review is still very valid, so I am not going to edit it. I am going to write an update that isn’t me fuming in my car in the parking lot. I live in Las Vegas: the city of over priced and rip off, so it takes a lot to make me angry as far as paying for worth. I am a HUGE fan of Lee’s Iced Coffee. Extra condensed milk, less ice. Less Ice does not mean«don’t fill my cup to the top.» I have NEVER been to an establishment where when you order a drink they COMPLETELY fill the cup to the very top with ice. At our lovely Lee’s in good old LV you might think you are in Europe because the ice in your cup is slim to none. Which is GREAT! I want coffee, NOTICE. So even though there is hardly any ice I STILL order it «less ice» and I know MANY other people who do the same. So… when on vacation in OC I stopped at this Lee’s, ordered my coffee — less ice — and was beyond mortified when they refused to fill my cup past ¾ full. Also, if English is your only spoken language good luck ordering anything at all. You would think they would at least have their own menu down.

Because there are so many vietnamese sandwiches offered in Santa Ana and where im from, i dont tend to order it. I only Get banh mi at a place by my house so when i go to lees is for their vietnamese coffee or panda waffles or the corn cakes with custard. Only Some Lees offer it so u have to do a little research. Usually the lees that have their own store front will. For those who do come here for the banh mi i will say they are pretty decent the only problem is that the bread can be hard and cut the roof of your mouth. But overall the meat and veggies are good. I prefer the bbq and combination.

There are few Lees Sandwiches that are good but this location is the worst! I’ve checked in here about 3 times for lunch. Issues: Smaller bread sandwiches compared to other locations, rude service and my last checkin here I had a weird feeling after finishing my #4 grilled chicken sandwich, and other issues as well… I found this place closer to my old work location for lunches. My first impression was like meh?! smaller sandwich and it was made messy. Also I bought me a bottle of diet Pepsi from their cooler it tasted bland and not chilled. After this I thought meh ?! No biggie not a big deal. I“ll give it another chance. Lunch checkin # 2 still smaller sandwich and still sloppy, this time with a Thai iced tea which tasted okay. Still the grilled chicken sandwich is average even with extra mayo. After this I thought okay this place sucks! But I still need to keep a steady diet, need low calories! and I am not down to go to a Subway for lunch and of course Lees Sandwiches are cheaper. Lunch checkin # 3 exactly an hour before closing time. I walked up to the order counter and the girl cashier said«yea» with an attitude what the f*ck?! Why greet a customer that way? That gave me the vibe that they were antsy with last hour customers f**k! it didn’t stop there. After I picked up my Grilled Chicken sandwich I was seated and started to munch away, about a minute later another f**ker came up to me saying that I would need to sit on the other side of the shop, so he can start cleaning this side. I give him a weird look really?! I’m in the middle of eatting! what a bastard!!! I had to keep my cool. There were two other guys who sat on the same side like I did and they were asked to move to the other side as well. One customer looked like he was in the middle of doing homework, he also had a laptop and books positioned neatly on the table and it looked liked he got punked by these rude employees, so he had to move out of his comfort zone to go to the other end. After eating my food here that night, I got sick to my stomach! I’m done with this biatch!!! The Buena Park location is still my Lees spot.
