Always love going to this place. It’s a hit or miss when it come down to it being busy. It might take a while for the food to be made but in the end it’s really amazing food. I’m so happy that they no longer charge extra if you use your credit card.

It’s decent Hawaiian food if you have a craving. My family is from Hawaii and I grew up around Gardena, I may be a bit harsh on my review of Hawaiian food because of this. I will go back but it’s not my favorite

I would give them a 5 Stars but it wouldn’t be posted! Preet and her staff are amazing! They helped with my husband’s 40th birthday and everything was great! We will definitely be back!

I called in to put in an order to pick up. Loco moco’s are my go-to here and occasionally the chicken katsu entrée. They give very little macaroni salad, but you can always pay 50 cents(?) more for an extra scoop. Their loco mocos are fat! Super delicious and filling with a lot of sauce. Great for the price. Dislike: They charge you a fee to use your credit card. I just really dislike places that do this.

I rarely ever get upset when I eat out. I work in food service, so I get it, but this experience was enough for me to never come back. Service was ridiculously unaccommodating and just plain careless. Though I will refrain from ranting, I can’t help but mention the thing that bothered me most: that they charged me extra to get a salad INSTEADOF rice AND macaroni, and the«salad» consisted of nothing but cut up romaine lettuce. You couldn’t even give me a tomato slice, really? Thanks for the LETTUCE and 3 pieces of shrimp, guys, and for only $ 9… Lol I’m sorry, but what a joke.

I was a little leary from some of the ratings, but I had a craving for Hawaiian food. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and was impressed. It’s tender and tastes very good. I think it might be the softest katsu I’ve ever had. Most of the time it’s a little too coarse. Thanks, I’ll be back!

It’s been awhile since I ate at L&L. I believe they are under new management. The customer service and food has improved. The girl at front counter was friendly. On the plus side, she told me about the Musubi Monday deal. 2 pcs for $ 2.50 instead of $ 1.79/pc. I love the wanna-be sushi known as spam musubi here. It is just simple with spam, sticky rice, and teriyaki sauce wrapped in seaweed. Really tasty! The chicken katsu and bbq chicken are both good entrees. Make sure to get the house teriyaki sauce. Extra drizzle on the meat and rice boost the flavor 10x better! Food is consistent. Always a good lunch option.

This was the worst dish I’ve ever had. Came in here placed an order wasn’t sure what I wanted. Cashier was nonchalant about her service. Food was disgusting. Bland and undercooked. I feel like I paid for fat and rice.

Want a butt load of good grub for a reasonable price? Want to share a plate lunch with friends? Well, this place has that kind of reputation, so I decided to use them(again) recently for a work meeting. Pros: SUPER friendly staff(especially Sabrina who is the first face you’ll see)… She just makes you want to order everything on the menu. Her happy face, amazing attitude and friendly smile is something that you’ll appreciate here. Guaranteed. Looks like she never has a bad day! Go Sabrina! The new owners are very friendly and accommodating. Preet & Tej Jassal took over this location last November, 2015, and would love to assist you in any questions you may have and/or help you with your catering needs. The food is fresh and delicious, which does go for most L&L franchises. Cons: The teriyaki sauce they provide is really more like teri chicken marinade. This needs to be stepped up a notch because when you want to add more teriyaki sauce on your grilled/bbq’d chicken, it should be WAY thicker. The current one is the consistency of soy sauce, but you can smell the ginger in it, but I do understand that since this is a franchise, you can only do so much to alter the recipes. Overall: Happy with the extra effort you put in to have my catering order ready on time, the friendly service is a plus and the food is enough to feed an army. Even the mini size is enough for most people. Fix the teri sauce and I’ll easily change my rating to a solid five star.

I have been going to this place for years now. I love it. I always get great service whenever I am there, and they go out of their way to help me out. Not to mention food is great too!

I went into this L&L location today for lunch before catching a movie next door. I ordered a regular sized chicken katsu plate and two spam musibis. I was absolutely amazed by both the quantity and quality of the items! The macaroni salad and rice that came with my plate were perfectly cooked. These guys have the best macaroni salad in the world. It is a must try for anyone who stops by. The workers were also very nice. I was greeted by a nice middle aged lady who gave me suggestions and helped me out very nicely, as it was my first time here. My friends and I frequent the nearby movie theatre, and I will definitely choose to eat at this L&L in the future.

I haven’t been here in years but it seems like a mini short rib meal now comes with only one short rib. It used to be two!

First things first. Avoid this location like the plague! I ordered the seafood combo which should have a decent amount of food in there. For nearly $ 11 without a drink, I better get my moneys worth. As you can see by my photos, this stuff is definitely worth the money I paid. Seriously, this is 1.5 scoops of rice, three things that appear to be shrimp, some unidentifiable fried fish thing and a piece of short rib that’s been CUTINHALF! This is seriously unacceptable. I’m never coming here again. You’d be wise to do the same!

Lowkey regret coming here for lunch. I was getting my tires changed across the street and came here to pick up food while I was waiting. I ordered a Loco Moco Mini to-go, and it was the saddest order I’ve ever seen. The burger patty was topped with fried egg, there was one scoop of rice, and one scoop of macaroni salad. All of this was DROWNED in gravy(see picture below). The gravy was not flavorful and looked extremely unappetizing. Shoot, I would have been better off going to KFC on the other side of the plaza and eating their gravy instead. Next off, this was a to-go order. My to-go box was filled to the top with gravy and the plastic bag I carried the box in had gravy all over it by the time I sat down and ate. Smarter choice would have been to keep the gravy in a separate container with a tight lid. At least then I would have been able to control the amount of gravy poured in and would not have spilled all over the place. If you’re coming here to eat, just stick to the Chicken Katsu or Hawaiian BBQ Beef. Everything else is pretty meh. (Oh yeah and there’s a $ 0.50 charge for using card. Ugh)

I can’t believe this place charged me to «cook» my cabbage. When I questioned it, the girl at the counter said, «I’ll check because sometimes we charge and sometimes we don’t»…ummm? Okay, so what is it based on? So weird. Anyway, I went ahead and ordered because I was really hungry after work and didn’t feel like trying to find somewhere else to eat. The BBQ Chicken Combo was good – tastes the same as other L&L locations, but the Spam Musubis here are a joke. The spam was cut super thin and it was just packed with rice – waste of money! I like L&L for a quick, cheap meal, but will I come back to this location again? NOPE!

I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while now since I drive past it twice a day on my way to school, and a few nights ago I actually had the opportunity to give it a try! Wow. I’m glad I did! The customer service was okay, somewhat of a get in and get out feeling. But the food was great. We had the chicken katsu with sides of sauce, one sriracha(totally a given) and a second sauce that I have no clue what it’s called. It had the consistency of gravy, but it had a sweet taste to it, and when you added some sriracha to it, it was SOGOOD! The rice was cooked perfect too. The macaroni salad I wasn’t a huge fan of, personally. Altogether for the price it is, you get a lot of food and it’s all really good. Glad I finally came here, I will be coming back on my commute!

I wanted to get some food in my belly before hitting up Pitch Perfect 2 at The Regency Theaters in the same shopping center because I didn’t want to be stuck with eating just concession stand food. I’ve only eaten at L&L maybe once or twice before but I am familiar with the Hawaiian BBQ style food. I came and was quickly greeted. I ordered the mixed BBQ plate(chicken, beef, and rib) served with a side of rice, macaroni salad and some cabbage and took a seat to wait for my food. While waiting, I decided to hit the bathroom and wash my hands. The bathroom was disgusting and the toilet was backed up. So I propped the door open with my foot while washing my hands and high-tailed it out of there as quickly as possible. My order was ready about 10 minutes later. I sat to eat and the rib meat and the chicken were good but the beef actually tasted like it was about to go bad so I ended up throwing ½ of the meal away and went about my day. I wasn’t expecting gourmet food but I did expect better. I would not eat here again.

I stopped by here since i had limited time before a Unilocal event at the theater. They have the usual Hawaiian dishes served with a scoop of white rice and macaroni salad. One nice thing about this place is that you can order most dishes in a small size. or regular if you prefer. Since i was looking for a quick bite this worked out well for me. I ordered the spicy chicken and for the small size there were 3 fairly large pieces of chicken with hot sauce served over chicken. overall it was alright not amazing, but not bad. Since this is in a easy location to get in and out of give it a try. I think next time i’ll try the chicken Katsu.

L&L. It’s unhealthy, fattening, greasy, and loads of calories. On average, per their website, a ‘regular’ size plate is about 1,200 calories while a ‘mini’ size plate is 800 calories. Therefore, why not get more bang for your buck and go with the ‘regular’ size plate?!? However, the portions are not as generous as Aloha Hawaiian BBQ in Tustin, which seems to be double of L&L. Who eats 2,400 calories in a meal? I do… Overall, L&L wouldn’t be my first choice for Hawaiian food but the portions are relatively small and there’s not enough calories. I mean if you’re going to consume large amounts of calories in a sitting you might as well go big.
