At first we were very happy with our painting job from JOONPI. They painted our living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. As well as installing recessed lighting in the kitchen. They also lacquered our kitchen cabinets. They did a pretty good, and offered a good price, but they really cut some corners. They missed a few spots, which is ok on the painted walls, but not something we can touch up ourselves on the ceiling or cabinets. When we agreed to work with them Tony really us on they will come back out and make thing right if there is a problem and they offer a 2 years warranty(even listed it on the contract). Been trying to get ahold of Tony for 1.5 weeks with no response as far as the peeling paint and missed spots.

I purchased the services of Joon Pi Maintenance to do an exterior house painting for a 1400 square foot house in August 2013. This family owned company did an EXCELLENT job! Tony Lee gave me an initial estimate of the work, the number of days, and how many gallons of paint and primer would be required. Although he initially thought my job would not require an entire re-priming of my house, he revised his opinion right before the job started into a full re-priming because of the serious nature of the exterior damage, which he re-evalulated since he first saw it, and they didn’t want to see the possibility of the paint to peel off in a period of 2 years. He emphasized that his family only performs top quality service, nothing less than that, and their paint jobs last for years. I agreed to re-priming the house and he went to Home Depot and bought me the extra primer(I paid him back) since I did not have enough. I also furnished my own high quality exterior paint. Tony Lee brought a crew of 2 very hard working, skilled people, who clearly knew what they were doing. One of them had been with the company for more than 10 years and was very loyal and expert about the entire painting process. The crew was very clean, pleasant, and professional. On the first day of the job, I also met Tony’s family members who were overseeing the job – his Aunt and Uncle. They came to inspect the nature of the damage to the exterior, and confirmed that the house definitely needed an all-over re-priming and would prime coat in 2 years the more serious areas. They came back to inspect again on day two. The priming was done with a tinted primer, which was good for the almond beige paint color I selected, vs. white. They started the priming at the end of day one and then finished priming on day two and already started painting the house on that day. They pointed out some wood rot on my exterior posts, so I got an estimate from the aunt and uncle on how much it would take to replace the wood with new wood moulding. They gave me a fairly priced estimate to cut the new molding, paint it and attach it. They have all their own tools for cutting the wood, etc. I only purchased the wood. Although there was a small hiccup in the width of the wood and wasn’t told initially what thickness to buy(I had to repurchase a new width), it was all worked out. The areas where the new wood was installed looked SPECTACULAR when the job was completed. My house looks like it’s new and the paint job is very uniform with clean lines all around. Tony Lee came back to do the final walk through on Day 3, inspect and make sure the touch ups were completed, the trash was collected, and to make sure I was satisfied. My paint job was finished on Day 3, as promised, and I am a very happy, satisfied customers and would happily recommend Joon Pi for any residential painting jobs, and would certainly hire them again.
